I paid that, he put the belt on and then proceeded to tell me that the bearings weren't too good either. I asked, what do you do forr that and he responded get a new washer. This was on a Thursday and on Saturday it broke again and I had to buy a new washer.I was obviously very upset because i felt that the technician knew that wasn't going to fix the washer and charged me anyways. I tried to call the shop on Monday. I left a message and they do not return my calls. I will never use them again.​ Update: Independent Appliance called me after seeing my review and they did apologize and refunded the parts and labor. I do appreciate their effort to make it right.

After spending about an hour in my unit he said he will come back with his partner to find out what is wrong. He demanded my credit card information and I gave him. He never came back but charged my credit card $75.00. When I called and got him on the phone once after multiple calls he told me that the $75 .00 is for him coming out . I asked him what is wrong with the dryer he said he does not know . I told him that if he cannot find out what is wrong with the machine then he should refund me my $75.00 but he refused and hung up. I ended up calling another appliance company and paying them another $75.00 to come out. Please stay away from Budget appliance in Panama City Beach .

August 2018 I had Jeff come out to investigate load thumping…read morenoise coming from washing machine. He identified the problem immediately. Had to order the part and came back in couple of days. Washer works great again and saved me from an expensive replacement. Also, while he was there noticed my refrigerator was making loud noises. He identified the noise and said he would fix that without a service charge, since he was coming back to repair washer. Now the refrigerator works great too. Jeff got a bad review from someone else on yelp, but he was very helpful, knowledgeable and polite.

We rent our house and this was the repair man that came out to fix our refrigerator when it bad. Within about a month, he had to come back 2 more times to "fix" it since it was still under warranty. The third and final time, he was going to replace it with a fridge he had at his shop. Getting him to finalize a date and time each time was supposed to come out was nearly impossible, and two times he told me he would come out and I never heard from him. When we expressed these frustrations he proceeded to tell us that we should've reached out to him more. Arguing with him went nowhere and he said he would come to replace it today. He proceeded to tell me once he arrived at the house to replace the fridge that he could bring the replacement in, but not take the old one out because it was raining and too heavy and a "safety" issue (even though he had another worker and dolly with him and it was barely raining). He gave us the run around several times, became defensive when we tried to explain our frustrations and concerns, and did not seem to want to have to do more work than the bare minimum. When I finally stood up to him and called him out on his "business" and customer service, he proceeded to tell me "I don't have to deal with you Miss." He walked away from me when my landlord asked to speak to him on the phone, told me to talk to his hand because he didn't have to listen to me and mocked me. My more colorful expressions came out after and I don't normally act that way. I had done everything to try to make this as easy as possible. I took off work early several days, emptied the fridge to prepare for them to take it, tried to communicate the best I could. In the end, he drove away leaving us empty handed and refrigerator-less. When I called Josh to tell him what happened, Josh tried to reach out to Max several times. Max kept forwarding his phone calls to voicemail. Once again, if you need any appliance repairs, SKIP THIS HASSLE. You will be severely disappointed, out of money and left with nothing.
