I just figured that there should be another review to balance out the one poor one...because I think these guys are great! I was able to find just the part I wanted, but couldn't tell entirely if it was the right color/fit from the photos available on Robertson's website. So I called, and discovered that there was no problem coming down, going into the yard (just need to be sure you're wearing closed-toe shoes), identifying the part and then pulling it with my own tools. The staff helped me bring it back out of the yard. I don't think that Robertson's is usually a U-Pull yard, but the point is that if you call them and are reasonable I think they'll work hard to help you out. Just what I'd expect from any service-oriented family business. Finally, I'll just add that they have A LOT more inventory than what's posted on the website. This is a huge place. And to respond to the other reviewer who's complaining about the lack of weekend hours...well, I've found that most salvage yards and old-school businesses like this are not open on weekends. That may be a bummer, but it's the industry norm, so I wouldn't take it out on this place in particular. read more

This is going to be long, but I would like to explain the circumstances and my review in full. I arrived at Robertsons Monday January 12, 2026 to order a passenger seat for my Honda HRV. I was told that it should be the next day. The following day, I called before driving 45 minutes to Wareham, to make sure the seat was there, which it was. I'm not sure why nobody ever called to inform me that it was ready. Upon arrival, they had the wrong seat, it was supposed to be cloth and the one they had appeared to be leather or "pleather". I politely asked "Is this considered cloth?" The man working, had an attitude and simply replied "You can go inside and complain in there". I went inside and immediately they attempted to rectify the situation, and I was told they had reordered the correct seat and now it will arrive in 2-3 days. I called again, two days later and was greeted on the phone with confusion, placed on hold and then sent to a voicemail. I left a voicemail, and nobody ever called back. I called back again on Thursday and this time, I was told "the part was never reordered, but now should be here Monday (1/19). Monday came and went and I never heard from anyone at Roberstons once again, to tell me that my part had arrived. Tuesday morning, I called and asked to speak to a manager, he immediately said he was taking care of it and the part should now arrive in 1-2 days again. The afternoon Thursday comes, and still have not received any phone calls from Robertson's, so I once again call and find, after some confusion, that my part is there and ready to be picked up. It was ready since the day before, no notification!!!! So ultimately I am just relieved that they finally have my part, because I need it to pass inspection this month in my car. I notice that the receipt they gave me, does not match the amount of money that my card was charged. I was charged an extra $9.08. When I asked, I was informed that that was the credit card processing fee, which I do understand, but it is not posted that you will be charged extra for the processing fee. In fact, I had cash in my hand when I went to pay and the guy shoved the card reader towards me, so I just ran my card instead of using my cash. The "cashier" proceeds to tell me that there is a sign, and there is a very small sign on the left lower corner of the window that says "save if you pay cash" nowhere does it say that you will be charged if you use a credit card. I told them that, they should probably move the sign to a place where people can see it and make it more clear. A good place to put it would be on or right next to the card reader, and she proceeded to tell me that usually people "hang out for 5-10 minutes next to the sign". The manager even came over and said that they usually tell people about the transaction fee, but sometimes they "forget". This is by far the most shameless and shotty customer service I have experienced in a long time. SEEMS PRETTY SCAMMY TO ME!! And to top all of that off, not one person offered an apology or any solutions, except for the one manager I talked to that finally got my part. read more

Then they have the nerve to argue with you and tell you you're lying about how long it's been. Two weeks for a transmission, core pick up and it's still sitting here. Do not use these people. I purchased a part while looking at the part from the donor vehicle online. We were both looking at the part so I know it was correct. The part arrived 2 days later than promised. I drove an hour to them and an hour back only to have the part not even be close to the part we looked at online. Just the completely wrong part. Bait and switch. They the begrudgingly wrote me a credit. It's now been 5 days and I am still waiting for my refund. They continue to blame it on TD Bank but that clearly isn't the case. But I do know in my three decades of driving and buying parts that a core charge is a way to increase profits when buying a new part. So the company can sell them to places that refurbish them for resale as a refurbished part. In this case where it is a used part off of a car that your company paid $300 for its pure profit. Somewhere down the line customer service comes into play and customer loyalty. This wasn't the only issue I've had at RAS over the years. It's just the most recent. First of all what kind of car parts place is closed on Saturday and Sunday?? but. . . I needed two wheels last week, one for my son's Jeep XJ and a donut spare for my wife's Nissan Quest. I had the day off on Tuesday so I found the "in stock" part #s online and went there first thing on Tuesday morning. They took the part #s and my $90 and told me that they would "try" to have them by the end of the day, I expected that it couldn't take too long to get a couple of wheels so I left my cell # and waited. No call on Tuesday. . .no call on Wednesday. . . .no call on Thursday so I called them on Thursday afternoon and was told that they weren't ready yet but they will get them and give me a call a little later. . . . no call on Thursday no call on Friday morning so I called again because we know that they are closed all weekend and I really think I've waited long enough. The wheels weren't ready but I was assured I could come by after lunch and they would have them. Review of Robertson's Auto Salvage by Gerry DeLuca This place is horrible. I purchased an engine my Toyota Supra for $1,600 including tax. Robertsons gave me a 3 month warranty. A month a it took for the engine to go in the car. From that point on the Fiasco began. I was calling Terry at the service desk every week with problems from this engine. He told me was we bought this engine from somebody else. Three months and three days after the warranty was out, the head gasket blew. It was like pulling teeth to get $400 out of these guys because that's what they said the labor was on a head gasket. The mechanic pulled the head off the engine. Come to find out the block and pistons were all pitted from all the water sitting in the cylinders. On top of it all, the turbo turned out to be junk also. I have since found a new motor for my Toyota. Do yourself a favor keep away from this place. They are Crooks. Run away like your hair is on fire ! read more

One of my worst experiences with a salvage yard. Researched for parts on eBay and found at least six at Robertson's. Paid for it and called same day to verify payment and part availability, spoke with Ebay sales clerk and she said it would be no problem and it would be worked on and part will be ready, since I told her that I was a local and couldn't wait the ten ship time. So I called back the next day and spoke with sales manager because Ebay sales clerk took the day off, I guess, memorial weekend, and was told he would send some employees out to the yard to check for parts and call back. Ok so now I'm waiting in anticipation for some good news. Well i found out the hard hard way when he called back and said none of those parts posted on eBay were available at all, trucks either crushed, or incorrect paperwork. So you can imagine how furious I was at that point. I needed a part, it was posted on eBay, I paid for and nothing. Ok I got my refund, so what! So here is where my story starts... my fiancée needed a new used engine for his gmc truck so after talking with the sales man Tony stating they had a 6 month warranty and they check their engines we decided to purchase the engine which was graded A. Well a private mechanic that has done my families work for years installs the engine starts it up and it has a rod knock like you wouldn't believe. AWESOME RIGHT! We call Tony up and he will replace it and since it is the only place with the engine we need clearly we are stuck. Today I called up and asked to speak with a manager because now from the mechanic I am being charged for taking the shit engine out and now to again put a new one in. I spoke with Terry and let me tell you what a pompous and patronizing guy! Not only did he say he will not give me some sort of credit for the engine since they blatantly lied about checking the engine he was basically calling me and my fiancée liars saying they never said they check the engines! Um hello why would we buy an engine that wasn't previously checked!? and now I am pissing away 800 dollars because some low life decides to lie! Through out the whole conversation he contradicted himself going from they can't check the engines long enough to listen for rod knocks (umm what that shit was making the car shake) not to mention in the same breath he said they don't check all engines! At this point he can take my money and attend a business class or maybe some self help sessions to learn to be a better human being and bussiness person! I bought a motor from them last week, it had higher miles which I was skeptical about, but I needed a motor asap and it was the only one available in the area. I was assured everything would be covered if there was any issues with it. Well I went to put the motor in my truck, drained the old oil out of it, and it came out looking like chocolate milk. Anyone who knows cars knows that means it has head gasket issues. Being the motor has aluminum heads, it also means they are most likely warped. I called them, calm and not mad about it at all, and explained to tell them what happened. The guy on the phone proceeded to tell me they drain the motors before they sell them and there's no possible way I drained anything out of that engine. So anyways, I brought the motor back, after being called a liar on the phone, and explained to them I had several other mechanics check out the motor and they all said the same thing, the motors junk. Then the service manager told me multiple times that there was no way that oil came out of the engine. Even after I showed him pictures of the oil draining and a video that I took of all the junk at the bottom of the oil pan and he told me that the pictures I had were from a different motor. I wouldn't have been so mad about it if they just listened to me and took the motor back without the hassle. I wasn't mad when I called about it, I understand that this stuff happens especially at a junk yard. But since they couldn't handle it like professionals, it's become a huge issue especially since they restocked the motor and plan to resell it after I told them multiple times it was no good. I bought a used 2003 Subaru gas tank from Robertsons. This was a side project for my mechanic, so took took a while to get around to the repair, and I just found out that the tank was no good... in worse condition than the tank I was trying to replace. Granted, 4 months had passed since I purchased the part, but it hadn't even been used. Robertson sold me something that was worthless.
