So I have had my car towed by Robey's before for being illegally parked and I'm all about following the law. I took my sad self up to the lot and paid the owner my money and he was no nice and polite and even offered to leave my car alone since my sticker was stolen and I was waiting for a new one. Although I had to cough up my money it was good customer service, Fast forward and a year later i find myself in the same scenario and yes I was wrong. Fortunately I was able to catch this mid 30's, Jamaican male with gold teeth and dreads tow driver and he stopped. I was relieved because he didn't have to stop. I genuinely begged and pleaded for him to put my car down and he agreed. But as he agreed he got upset with me for being frantic....like who wouldn't be! I didn't argue whether he was right or wrong I even begged him to call my friend I was visiting to bring him the $50 fee. Mind you I'm crying upset using his phone to call my friend to come down and pay for me because my wallet was upstairs and the damn driver starts yelling at me for asking my friend to bring me $50!!!! Who the hell argues with a dead ass wrong customer trying to pay about trying to pay?!?!?! He was rude as hell and started yelling and being extremely ignorant! At this point I'm now confused he wants the money didn't like how I asked my friend for it....like who cares but apparently he did! Long story short I ended up calling the police so I could pay the tow truck driver. Who ever hired him needs to know he is on a serious power trip living life on the edge driving around in this tow truck....even the cop had to tell him he safe out here. Robey needs to advise this man that Hyattsville is a very tight knit neighborhood all he has to do is be rude to the right person and he will cause Robey to lose contracts with these apartment complexes. This company patrols the HOA I live in and does a great job 90% of the time. Occasionally they miss a violation here and there, but for the most part they do a good job of removing violators. And they do an EXCELLENT job of documenting the violations to make sure that those towed were actually in violation. read more

Friend got their car towed from the apartment. We were able to get the car before the 18 hour storage fee kicked in. Driver CB pulled up shortly after and we paid for the vehicle. After pulling in front of the gate, we asked for a tow ticket. While I was talking to my friend about incident the driver assumed that I was talking about him and proceeded to be rude, cussing at me. After explaining that I wasn't speaking to or about him, he proceeded to tell us that him being there was a favor and that he did not have to release the car to us this evening. The sign on the business says that Vehicle Pickup is 24/7. I understand that the job is tough, but the cussing, tone, and threat to not release the car was uncalled for. read more

My friends were hungry and decided to go out for ChilfFilA when a magic trick happened and our vehicle spawned in at this lovely place. Upon approach we were greeted with the appropriate "Show me y cash o' card." What an amazing start to the endeavor. The lovely women then proceeded to deny requests to view images of our car and when she finally showed them she made us jump up and peer through the 6,8" window as if a child attempting to look through the window of a candy shop, but all we saw was some arrogant women with a desire to commit violence. We did however make a few friends in the line of this platform: one gentleman was in his way to his friends funeral, but wasn't allowed access to his car until everyone was served- how lovely. Another, was near our predicament and forced to pay despite a permit; he too felt obliged to share his opinion of this women being a "female dog"(How absolutely delightful). Although these friendships may last a life time, we were eventually let into the compound. When we got to our car we realized. We were surrounded and the way out was obstructed. The solution, yes I agree, was that the same lady running the front pull up behind us in a little red car and further block the exit- splendid! So after about 10 minutes of trial and error, she rolled down her window to indulge us with "You need to leave". What a great observation! Eventually we inched our way out and angled towards the gate. All of the sudden that women came to and realized she could insult us with a single word: cracka! My bones shivered and my stomach tossed and turned as the words rattled my brain like and old drum preparing for war. As the demons crept in, she continued to use this vile word. Her boyfriend even hopped in on the fun throwing in statements of "Better watch out Boy!" and "Shut up Cracka!". My blood boiled and my head pounded as the light of a Hazy Maryland day slowly faded to black. I thought to myself, "Should I indulge them with what they so clearly expect as a response?", but no! I held steady as a pressed towards the gate and back on to the chop shop row. My better instinct kept me alive, and now I am here to pass this wisdom to you. All in all, yeah, I'm pretty sure a quadruple amputation in a bathtub of lemon juice would be more enjoyable than that hell hole. read more

They illegally towing cars and are vultures. They tow cars after the hours they are supposed to and they only take cash or cash app, they not paying taxes. I don't know if this review will go anywhere, but my car has now been towed by Robey Towing 4 times. I am currently standing outside of their establishment waiting for a personnel member to arrive to release my car; I've been here now for 30 minutes. This is the second time in which there has been no one available to release my vehicle, although they are legally required to be available for reclamation between the hours of 6 AM - 11:59 PM. They damaged my vehicle back in December. While I have gotten in contact with a manager, my vehicle still has not been repaired. Drivers will quite literally look for opportunities to tow your car, and lie about it as well. My car was once towed when I had remote started it from a distance. I have no idea how a business is allowed to continue operating this way, nor why an establishment would contract with them. read more

I just finished a show cause hearing and found out that Mr. Dumas isn't even licensed to tow! they have to reimburse me the $175 i paid to get my vehicle back. I don't see how this location is still OPEN!!! During this COVID-19 pandemic state shutdown this location towed my vehicle from my residency due to the placard not visible in the rear view mirror but on the floor when I arrived to the car ..sounds unrealistic no worries pictures taken I explained to him that by law he can not do that..Residential Parking Permit (RPP) zones are temporarily suspended. Enforcement of RPP zones will resume once the state of emergency or any other restrictions have been lifted.  I'm going to court next and demanding refund of this fine plus lost wages and whatever else my lawyer recommends read more
