Sunday, 6/5/2022, got to my vehicle parked under my car port and found the tire flat as a pancake. A screw could be seen on top of the tire/tread. I got on Yelp and quickly found Ty's roadside Assistance. This was around 7ish in the morning, and Ty picked up the line. I'm in NE DC Eckington neighborhood, just to the east of Shaw/Bloomingdale and he's in Riverdale, MD. Ty said he could be at my home in 15 minutes. My car, with a flat tire, was stuck in a secure garage (no outside car access, which means he could not bring all his handy dandy tools into the garage) and he went above and beyond to help me out. Not only did he fix my tire "on-site," he gave me tools to help myself out in the future, if I were in a bind again. I felt safe the entire time. 24 hours later, I noticed my tire was flat again. I have used Ty's several times and I have always been happy with them. Roadside breakdowns and car problems can not only bring out the worst in people, but they can bring the worst people to you, but that is not the case with Ty's. Quick arrival, fresh-faced and charming techs show up (usually family) and get what needs to be done quickly. I had a sticky problem where the battery that was given to me was defective. Ty didn't ask questions and bought the battery back from me for $220. Once again, two energetic young folks showed up and we all departed with a smile on our faces...even though the battery weighed 100 lbs or more and they had to carry it to their service vehicle. read more

We had 2 flat tires on Sunday evening. We called lots of tire shops and they either didn't have it in stock, couldn't do it that day or were asking for to much as far as price. I finally called Ty's and the gentleman that answered the phone was very nice, helpful and understanding from the beginning of the call to the end. He quickly checked if they had the tires in stock, Gave me a quote about $300 less then ALL the other places I called. He gave us a same day appointment and When we got there they took us in right away and had us in and out in 30 mins! They were extremely friendly, fast and price saved me hundreds of dollars. Phenomenal customer service! I had a flat tire and a Ty sent out one of his workers to come and help. Unfortunately he was unable to get the tire off, but he was working at it for at least 45 minutes and I sincerely appreciated his efforts. When he was unable to get the tire off to put the spare on, he called Ty and Ty said that he would come out and try as well. On my way to the first day at my new job, I got not one, but two flat tires. I panicked and called Progressive, and not only was the representative curt, but they wanted to say the flat tire was at-fault, and it would cost (based on the plan I chose) $1,000 and would increase my monthly insurance payments. So, I called a tow company and they said they'd call me back. After 15 minutes of radio silence, I called again and was assured they would call me "immediately". After waiting 10 minutes, I called Ty's. Ty asked my location, the tires I had, and my car make and model. That was it - he didn't even need me to wait by my car. Fast forward to an hour later and I get a call saying that my car's tires have been replaced with brand new tires, and it cost less than $300. They even took my payment over the phone and provided me with a receipt within a few minutes. Ty's stands out amongst so many others, and I can't recommend them enough. Hopefully I never get another flat tire, but if I do I'm calling Ty's without hesitation. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Someone recommend Ty to fix my car due to my axle breaking. Unfortunately, it happened on a Sunday and I'm not familiar with any repair shops in the area so I reluctantly allowed him to "fix" my car. He charged me $500 for parts and labor. Fine. My VSA and ABS lights were still on afterwards and I let him know. He told me that it was because they needed to be reset. I later found out that the reason the lights never went out was because he put the incorrect axle on my car, which caused even more damage to my car. I understand that this is strictly for his roadside assistance services, but if he offers to fix your car do NOT let him. I also believe he blocked my number because he has yet to respond to any of my messages. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of willingness to communicate. If you only know how to communicate when things are well with a customer, you shouldn't own any businesses. read more
