Robin has such a wonderful way of connecting with people and immediately made our 12-year-old daughter feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. That ease and confidence truly came through in every photo. Willie Watana, Robin's longtime hair and makeup stylist, was equally amazing - so warm and encouraging, with an incredible eye for bringing out our daughter's best features while keeping everything fresh, natural, and youthful, even across a variety of very different looks. The styling component, handled by Robin's assistant, Scout Redford, was also a complete game changer and very reasonably priced. Every look was thoughtfully selected, stylistically distinct, photographed beautifully, and, most importantly, felt true to our daughter. Having that level of guidance took so much of the stress out of preparing for the shoot, especially since we were traveling down from the Bay Area. We felt incredibly well prepared every step of the way and were able to simply relax and enjoy the experience. What really sets this team apart is how genuinely invested they are in making the entire experience special - not just in delivering beautiful photographs. I cannot recommend Robin highly enough! She was amazing with my daughter. So patient and offered great direction. This was our first time doing professional head shots. Robin guided us every step of the way, from wardrobe to hair and makeup. She offered advice and suggestions, and even supplemented the wardrobe we brought with pieces she had. The entire shoot she praised my daughter in every way, built her up. Commented on how beautiful she is, how expressive, how much talent she has. My daughter is all of those things, but so are many kids. The way that she called out during the shoot all of the great things about my kid just lit a fire of confidence in her soul. Robin was also very patient with me as a mom. She took the time to explain what my daughter needed to be successful in the shoot, and then when I misunderstood her (seriously it was me being an idiot and new to the industry and not Robins communication at all) and showed up less prepared than either of us would have liked, she didn't call me out on it. She just stepped up and helped me fix it. She was extremely responsive the entire time we were communicating about scheduling, which was helpful as we live out of state. Also, knowing that we live out of state, she came to shoot my daughter in some of the worst LA weather ever because she knew we were only in town for a limited time.
