You have to go to the front desk to ask for more, and they only give you about a three-day supply each time, which feels a bit stingy. When I first checked in, the garbage disposal under the kitchen sink wasn't working, so it seems the staff didn't check the room properly before guests arrived. Overall, if the room rate were under $100 per night, I'd say it's fair. But given the current price -- with no breakfast and no bottled water provided -- the value for money is not very high.

I came here to attend a family members Navy bootcamp graduation. It's appropriately a five minute drive to the Naval Base. The area is surrounded by local restaurants, fast foods, cafes, bars, gasoline station and a few blocks to Walmart. Laundry room is free, they also have a small gym and a BBQ grill outside. The employees were polite, very welcoming and helpful. Parking was abundant and free. The mini suite was very clean, had a small kitchen with a stove top, pots, pans, utensils, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, etc. The showers water pressure was amazing- I wish all hotels had a shower like that! So, yes I really enjoyed my short stay here, besides serving its purpose, the rates are really affordable compared to other hotels/motels nearby. If you are looking for a place to stay during a Navy bootcamp graduation, look no further - this is it.

You can truly tell that they wanted to make sure that their guests were comfortable and well taken care of. They are very friendly and helpful. It was fun getting to know and chat with one of the ladies at the front desk. My room was very warm and cozy. It felt more like a 1 bedroom apartment than a hotel room. The room was very clean, neat, and well kept. I love how they supply plates, silverware, dish soap, and other items for the kitchenette. The rooms are fairly quiet; however, during "prime time" (when everyone is up during the day) you can hear a lot of the stuff going on in other rooms. Nighttime wasn't an issue for me. They conveniently have a mini-market place where you can pick up various food items (chips, TV dinner, drinks, and other items) on the first floor right next to their gym. It's based on the honor system so you just mark which item you pick on a slip, that you turn into the front desk. I unfortunately didn't get a chance to try out the equipment at their gym, for medical reasons. Their gym, however, is a decent size with a good variety of equipment to use. I'll definitely utilize their gym once visit again, but more importantly, once I have my procedure and get my clearance from my doctor. The also have a laundry room, which I didn't use as well. Apparently it's free also, but of course you have to buy your own detergent and fabric softener. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my stay at this hotel. I will be staying here once I return to the area and will have my family stay here as well.

I've been away for thirty years so the help getting around town was appreciated :-) weekly housekeeping was scheduled to cause me the least inconvenience - I was working overnight which put me first on the list for Tuesday: fresh beddings and towels, vacuum the carpet and swiff the flooring. I ran the dish washer and took out the trash as needed so they gave me extra soap packs! Yea! a large pet walk area is shared with neighboring properties and looks tidy and the exercise equipment is current but the laundry could use a refresh and the rooms and decor are dated and the common areas could stand some paint but those aren't even real things because renovations started last week (9-Dec-23) and should finish in January 2024 I expect they'll keep the basic layout with a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and cooktop - no actual oven so frozen pizzas are out.

The only thing I didn't like was that it was a connecting room when I didn't request it. The receptionist was nice but was on a personal phone call during my check in process which is annoying and rude. The lobby has a self service store with chips, drinks and frozen food. I didn't get a chance to checkout the other amenities. Check out process was smooth and airplane shuttle came in 5 minutes. The ride to the airport was about 10-15 min. I actually would stay here again because of the location and services it offers.

Beyond the cleanliness issues, the furniture was broken in areas and the overall room and property felt very outdated and poorly maintained. The front desk staff also lacked professionalism, and the condition of the room reflected poorly on the quality of the housekeeping. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel to the average traveler. Cleanliness should be one of the most basic expectations when staying at a hotel, and unfortunately, this property fell far below that standard.

Same area as coffee are a few snacks to purchase as well as some toiletries. Our room was great! It had a full refrigerator, stove top burners, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, individual coffee pot, and all the main items you would need for a kitchen. It also had a laundry basket, a large closet, iron and iron board. The bathroom had toiletries needed so I didn't need to use any of mine. We took coffee to go on an early road trip and that make the stay even better. Would love to go back and maybe stay a little bit longer. Only wish would be a bigger TV! MANAGING EXPECTATIONS…read more  For $95/night, I'm not getting a hotel with an omelette bar, and I accept that.   Credit my wife for suggesting a spur-of-the- moment trip to Wisconsin this past weekend.  We spent two nights at this Candlewood Suites in Brown Deer, roughly 8 miles north of downtown Milwaukee.  There's a Culvers nearby on Green Bay Rd.   Candlewood Suites are part of the Intercontinental Hotels Group, which also includes Staybridge Suites and the Holiday Inn family.  There's no continental breakfast, no juice bar, no muffins or pastries.  No pool, either--just a gym.   Check-in was fine and the staff seemed friendly.  While the room's keycard let us in the first time no problem, every following attempt was iffy at best.  I think the card reader on our door knew we were from Illinois ("get outta here, ya FIBs!")   And so we stood outside our room, keycard in hand, trying to find the perfect motion and angle to insert the ƒu¢k!ng thing.  Last few places we've been, the cards were RFID/tap and entry was seamless.  In the event I was just being a moron, I asked my wife to try and she had plenty of difficulty as well.   The bed was comfy.  Pillows and blankets were fluffy, good water pressure in the shower.  Having a kitchenette at our disposal was a big help; we made ample usage of the full-size fridge, microwave, and electric stovetop, though we stopped short of needing to run the dishwasher.   After returning from the Wisconsin State Fair, we hoped the hotel corridors would offer a break from the heat.  Alas, the A/C was off in both the elevator and hallways and, coupled with the issues we had getting the room key to work, it was an unpleasant few minutes...during which I contemplated using a nearby fire axe to gain entry to our room.   * TL;DR *   I'm not expecting caviar and champagne toasts from a 2-star booking.  I expect room keys to work more than 80% of the time, and air conditioning in the hallways when it's blazing hot outside.  Not too much to ask, I think.   Would I stay at a Candlewood Suites again in the future?  Maybe, if the only other option was an Econo Lodge or a Days Inn.   I'd grade our time here as a 'C-'......passable, but not pretty.

The only reason I don't give enterprise a five star rating is the car's were all in rough shape. The first car a Camry was pretty torn up with scratches and 3 glass chip in the windshield which will likely never get fixed. It reeked of cigarette smoke to the point after couple of days I could take it anymore and swapped for something else. The second car definitely was a smokers car too but what killed it for me was that it didn't have a working horn. So it went back after two days. The third car, Sonata, also a smokers mobile and pretty new, was leaking oil so badly it the warning light came on and I had to put a couple of quarts in. That all leaked out into a pool on my driveway I had to replace a half gallon in a week. If it weren't for the extraordinary staff, and if they were just average employees, I would've probably given Enterprise a 2 star rating because of the cars being so beat, but these staff people were so nice they bumped up the rating. They got me an excellent rate while I waited for my newly purchased car to arrive after my old one was totaled.

I made sure to come down early since when I arrived back at the hotel the previous evening there was almost nowhere to park. They must have been sold out. The one downside is the lack of parking. The price was reasonable and the location not too far from the airport. Overall a good stay.

Around 2 AM, the phone by the bed started making an off-the-hook sound followed by repeated beeping. The only way I could stop it was to unplug the phone. By the next morning, the phone seemed to have fixed itself and was working again. I also found a dead roach and a cricket in the room, which was disappointing. On the positive side, I really appreciated the hotel shuttle. The hours were excellent and made getting around much more convenient. Breakfast was also good. Overall, the hotel has some positives, especially the shuttle service and breakfast, but the rooms, plumbing, cleanliness, and maintenance need attention. Hopefully, the upcoming renovations will address some of these concerns.

Additionally when I tried to turn down the temperature the AC unit let off a downright terrifying rattling to the point where I had to just suck it up with no AC (I could have gone down and asked, but it was 1AM with a 7AM flight). Overall it was worth the cost, but not exactly a destination.
