Unfortunately, despite strong recommendations from multiple friends who had great experiences our experience has been nothing but frustrating. My friends are intelligent, detail-oriented engineers who were very involved and knowledgeable during their installs. Since my house had similar needs, I trusted their recommendations and chose the same system. Looking back, I can't help but wonder if they saw an opportunity to take advantage of a woman overwhelmed with purchasing her first home while her husband was deployed overseas. It wasn't until I started gathering documentation to seek legal advice because my system has never functioned properly despite having a tech come out 10 separate times to work on it that I realized the installed equipment did not match what we paid for according to my invoice and install notes. Aside from being sold one thing and having another installed my next biggest concern and issue is that the heat pump has never functioned. Communication has been consistently poor. Calls aren't returned when promised, issues aren't addressed in a timely manner, and it feels like we're stuck in an endless cycle of technicians coming out, spending hours on the phone with tech support, and the problem continues to be unresolved. The owner/president, John, has now stepped in and assured us he is going to "take care of everything," but at this point it honestly feels like empty promises and excuses. I would strongly encourage anyone considering Coastal Aire to do thorough research and pay close attention to their reviews and customer service history. I will be happy to return with my alternative recommendations as I'm getting referrals and meeting with other companies to get another opinion.

As others have reviewed, unfortunately this company is neither responsive nor reputable. I would…read morealso tend to add that they are incompetent. They installed 3 AC systems in my new home build in 2020, and ever since the installation one of the units has never functioned properly. I have spend entire summers for 3 years calling, texting, sending pictures, calling, texting, etc. and they have never resolved all of the issues such that the malfunctioning AC unit would work properly. Finally this year I have given up. Called twice about a month ago and again a week ago, spoke to someone on second call who said they would call back. Par for the course, they did not call back. So I've given up and decided to try to get it fixed by a company that knows what they are doing. Some of the incompetence: 2 of the outdoor units were paired with the wrong AC units on initial installation. Kinked copper tubing during installation and not repaired. After swapping outdoor units, did not check refrigerant charge (at least one unit is overcharged, waiting for full repair appointment to check 2nd unit charge). Obviously, I do not recommend for any service/installation whatsoever.

I don't even know where to start, but at the beginning might be the best. I have a 1996 Chevy…read moreCorvette that really needed to be checked out. My husband was sick for 18 months so I didn't really drive my car the way I should and we all know if you leave a car sitting in a garage especially a high-performance car things happen. I knew there was a problem with the starter and there was a high-pitched sound coming from under the hood. My son is a mechanic and told me it was the serpentine belt and that I surely needed a new starter, but the car needed to be checked out. so based on a dear friend, who has many collectible cars, I called Robbie at Shelton racing and fabrication and talk to him about my problem. He was so nice and assured me that they would check my car out so that I could feel confident driving it. when the tow truck and I arrived, I was greeted by Ryan who is the mechanic and fabricator and son of one of the original owners with Robbie. I told him I wanted to be able to drive my car without worrying about it since my husband was gone, and I wasn't that familiar with being a mechanic on my own. he explained to me the car before me was taking a little bit longer, but that he would get to my car as soon as possible, which was not a problem and a few days later, today I got a call that my beautiful Corvette was ready. I really didn't have any idea when I dropped the car off how much it would cost, but in my mind, I was thinking maybe $1000 for all the things that had to be done and checked. when I told Ryan, I would have to find someone to bring me there to pick up the car he said no problem. I will come and get you and within 15 minutes. I was in his truck and we were heading back to the shop. Ryan showed me the old parts explained what he did in detail and presented me with a bill for $700 which was amazing. I have a couple of small leaks, but he explained to me that the seals get hard when their car isn't driven and that typically once I drive it and they get hot, they they will soften up and the leak will stop. he said not to worry about it at this point drive it and see how it goes, and I asked him how much it would be if they had to fix those leaks, and he told me what it would be, but not even to think about it right now because it's not an issue. show Shelton racing and fabrication was highly recommended to me by a very dear friend who has several collectible cars so if they told me they needed to do more extensive work for the leaks, I would have done it. I know many other shops would probably see a woman without a lot of experience figure they could make a bunch of money, but not Ryan, he told me exactly what was going on and words can't express how grateful I am that he didn't try to take advantage of me. this summer, I will take my husband's Corvette in for a new water pump and a check up, and I feel very confident that they will give me the same wonderful reasonable service that I got this time. thank you, Robbie And Ryan, you made this experience less stressful, and I certainly appreciate your kindness

Went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right and didn't go a penny over the quoted price. I haven't had that experience at an exhaust shop anywhere in the Reno/Carson area...ever!
