Lynne does beautiful work, and she works with each couple to customize the invitations. When I compared the costs to what online invitations would have been, the difference was minor, especially considering that I was getting something customized for me versus something that a million other brides could purchase. I had so much fun looking over paper and designs with Lynne. She is very personably and easy to work with. I only had one minor complaint. I felt that time frames were never quite what I expected. I would be given an estimate but it seemed to always end up being an extra week+. Nothing got out late, but for my invitations, I really wanted to send them 6 weeks out because everyone had to travel, but they didn't go out until 4 weeks before the event. I definitely would recommend Inviting Company, but be very firm on the timelines you are expecting. While my stress was unfounded as everyone got their invites with enough time to RSVP, had there been better communication regarding the time frame, I would have been more relaxed. The invitations ended up being the thing I was the most stressed over, though, in all honesty, this was very likely my fault for not being assertive enough and laying out my expectations as clearly as possible. In the end, the work was gorgeous, the invitations were unique, and they were exactly what my husband and I wanted.

Piro printed my wedding invitations in 2007 and did a great job for a reasonable price…read more This is a little hole-in-the-wall shop with no parking of its own, so you'll need to find a street spot. Inside, it's nothing fancy, though they do have several huge volumes of sample invitations to browse. I picked a cream colored stock with some pearlescent designs on the border and a fairly standard calligraphy font. The invitations were printed on time, without errors, and looked exactly how I had envisioned them. You can't really ask for more! My parents have also used them on several occasions and been happy with the results. I know that the pricing for my invitations was competitive, and significantly lower than some other options. I think because they do not specialize in weddings, you don't pay a premium above the normal market cost for a print job. I know Piro has also printed the booklets for some events I've attended in the city of Somerville, and those have also been good quality.

When we started planning, we were looking at a lot of venues that were charging outrageous prices, and at the same time not giving us the wedding that we had envisioned and wanted to create. They left no room for creativity. After a few months of looking for a venue, we found one we loved. However, we had to find ALL of the vendors - as the venue was just providing the space. I knew we would have to hire a wedding planner. One night, I was on Instagram and stumbled upon an amazing wedding. It was beautiful, had style and so much energy. There, I found Hermela's contact as she was the planner and immediately contacted her. She responded right away and explained her services and what she offered. We set up a face to face meeting within the next couple of weeks and I was sold! We started planning in January 2019 for a wedding that was on October 4th, 2019. Right away, Hermela provided wedding planning worksheets that focused on the budget, guest list, tasks, etc. Everything was so organized. She was also so understanding that Sean and I live in New York, so when we did come back to Boston my day would be filled with vendor meetings to make use of my time. She is always so efficient and makes great use of your time. In one day, we had a caterer and cake tasting, mock reception set up, and make up trial all in one day! Her endless list of contacts made it so easy to select the best vendors. Everything was booked ahead of time and organized. During the planning process we had constant check ins as we were meeting deadlines for tasks. She was always available and naturally became a friend during the planning. Leading up to the wedding things got busy and payments were due. She made sure I was on a schedule and not waiting until the end to make payments and get overwhelmed. This was so helpful to us. She lead the rehearsal day and made sure everyone knew what they were doing. Then finally, on the wedding day she was up and making sure hair and makeup were in my hotel room at 6:30am. Making sure everyone followed the schedule provided in the Wedding Packet she gave the bridal party. While getting ready, she was facilitating everything at the venue. Then still made it to the hotel to help us finish up, take photos and get to the first look photo location. She was with the guys, us, and the venue. I'll never forget when I walked into the venue the feeling I had when I saw the place. It was beautiful and everything that I had envisioned. Hermela made everything happen that we discussed. My wedding was perfect in everyway and people are constantly complimenting the night. Hermela made this happen for us. She is extremely talented and down to earth. She is extremely easy to work with and very reliable. My school wanted to produce a small number of baseball caps with our logo to be given to our biggest donors. From a list we picked Imprint Express. Good choice. Throughout the long process from start to finish we had personal help from a single representative. If you have ever undertaken one of these projects you'll know how fantastic it is to have one person you're working with rather then a mini-call center where instructions are lost in a jumble of bureaucracy and a lack of accountability. They treated us with a small-scale project with incredible attention; like we were some huge contract. They even went so far as to liiterally send a person to our school to go over thread colors with us. I don't know of any other place that would do that. This is old school customer service like it should be.

I had my heart set on Pocket Invitations since we began planning our wedding 14-months earlier. I searched through hundreds, perhaps thousands, of options online & finally found the one single pocket invitation I'd been searching for all along. It was perfect. I purchased the template for the invitation & all four inserts from an independent Graphic Design Artist online. The templates were easy enough to edit & I sent them off to the printer, months ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, the files weren't formatted properly for them to use! I contacted the person I had purchased them from and she was no help. A month or two of trying to figure it out ourselves left us hopeless and I was devastated. Our printing company reached out to Christine at TAG Design, a professional colleague, for help & she was able to get our Invitations and Inserts properly formatted to print! We were over-the-moon. Fast forward another month... I had been emailing the woman I purchased the Invitation Template from for a few days, asking her if she could update the colors on existing Programs and Seating Cards she advertised online to the Wine & Gold for me to purchase (which she told me she could do before I made the initial purchase). I waited & waited for a reply. Nothing. We're now 10 days before our wedding & we are still without Programs or Seating Cards. Working with Christine previously, she had offered to help us with anything else we needed. A bit frantically, we emailed Christine & told her our situation. We knew this was a tall order & even told her we could go without the Programs... we just really needed the Seating Cards. We chatted on the phone for about two hours & emailed her a few different Etsy formats we liked. She asked us to send her the Invitation again and she quickly designed two options for both Programs and Seating Cards for us to review. I'm talking quickly like within hours. These designs were EXACTLY what we were hoping for & we actually preferred them to the templates I had my heart set on originally. And Christine got to work! We're now 6 days before the wedding. The Priest we hired for our ceremony experienced an unforeseen and unfortunate medical issue - he was no longer able to perform our ceremony. (Yes, he's ok!). His name, however, was being printed on 150 Wedding Programs. Frantically, again (Christine, why do I only contact you frantically?), I texted Christine to STOP THE PRESS! She was about 1/3 of the way through our Programs, so I asked her to remove the Priest's name from the remainder of them. (I really really REALLY didn't want his name on any of the Programs, but Christine was doing us a huge favor by getting these done, and in record time, I wasn't going to create more work for her.) We spent the rest of the weekend searching for a new Officiant and by late Sunday evening, we had a new Priest. Christine reached out to me Monday morning about 7:30am to see if we had a new Officiant's name, which I provided her with. I also told her that he rearranged our ceremony and the Order of Events on the Program was also now updated. Again, I told her to not worry about what had already printed and just to update the remainder of the order with the new information. Christine reached out to us two days later to let us know that all 200 Seating Cards and 150 Programs were ready to be picked up. Unbelievable. We headed to her home to pick them up and we were floored when we got there and saw the love she put into our wedding. She went a million miles past the "extra mile" to not only do what we asked, but exceed every expectation we had of her. Christine went out of her way to reprint ALL of the Programs that had the previous Officiant's name & Order of Events on them and also created several options of "Mr. and Mrs." Seating cards for our Sweetheart Table. I cried at her studio. And a lot more when we got home. What should have been an incredibly stressful experience - and trust me, I was ready to be let down - wasn't. Even writing this review, I'm crying again. We are so appreciative. We continue to receive so many compliments on our Invitations, Programs and Seating Cards. Many of our guests said the stationary really set the tone for our wedding day and they knew, from the beginning, it was going to be over the top and elegant. Christine, we have you to thank for all of it. You continually saved the day from the very beginning and all the way to wedding day. You are a gift & a thousand "thank you's" wouldn't adequately express our gratitude.

Being a small business they probably called to let her know about the delay, right? Nope. Also part of the order were some framed pictures. It's now after the 4th of July and no sign of either. But updates from the store, right? Nope. To make matters worse, the salesman Keegan, is one of the rudest customer service people ever. When my wife would call for updates (because the store doesn't give any), he would say the delay is no big deal, and he doesn't know why she was upset. Really? Since there wasn't even an estimated delivery date come Father's Day, the store put together a gift basket. Any time my wife asked for an update after that, they would refer to the gift basket, as if this had righted all wrongs. The bombshell is that the owner of this establishment is complacent in this. After weeks of delays my wife asked for a call from the owner. Keegan the sales person said, "it's the weekend." Thanks for the calendar update. Over a week later, still no word from the owner. We love supporting small businesses and were excited to outfit our new home from this store (and told them so). But after getting 2 out of 5 things after 3 months and being told that we are the problem by the sales staff, there is just no reason to shop here.
