We love Dr. Brian! The staff truly cares about children. They are so patient and fun!

note before reading: i dont live in california nor do i know why it says i do and i live in midlothian so yeah so like read the review lol as a kid who went to this torture camp of a dentist office, this place sucks. they are weird as hell, they didn't take x rays, they creep me out, didn't do procedures well, this place sucks and i hope this garbage dump burns down in a fire. worst dentist ive ever been to. if i could give -8668585885586544674474747744748844 starts i would my entire life 24/7. don't go here for your own good. please don't. also, im not hating on this place because its a dentist office and kids hate dentists. i would give my old dentist 999999 stars if i could. they were amazing. this place is absolutely GARBAGE and just remember its not because im biased against dentists. i know i didn't miss a science test for this disgrace of a dentistry, but unfortunately i did. read more

I called this afternoon to make an appointment for my grandaughter who is 10. I used to bring my kids to this location when Dr. Wood was there. I called today, 12/2 at 4:45pm. The woman who answered was so rude and not helpful whatsoever. She would not help me make an appointment and to be honest just wanted to get off the phone. I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Dr. Brian Schmitz is rude, impatient, short tempered, and should not be a pediatric dentist. After my first bad encounter with him I told my husband I wouldn't go back. My 4 year old wanted a balloon like their 6 year old brother, and he snapped that they would get one when they had an appointment. He was also short and rude with me because my 6 year old with oral aversion (in years of speech/feeding therapy) doesn't like people touching his mouth and has a large cavity from we assume poor brushing. He was fully aware of the struggles we have had with oral sensitivity and even with poor eating. More recently, my son with the oral aversion needed a cavity filled. He had gotten gas, gotten the first shot of Novocaine, and was upset about a second shot because it hurt. Dr. Schmitz said "fine, whatever, we just won't do it" and walked away. My husband was shocked because my son was afraid but wasn't being unreasonable difficult. For a child with oral aversion a traumatic dental experience only increases anxiety. Dr Schmitz did come back and complete the work, but he honestly shouldn't be working with children. read more

Review is long over due. I've been bringing my three children to Dr. Luke for over a year. He and his team are hands down, the best. Very professional, and they truly do their absolute best to make your child comfortable. During treatments, they walk through the process with your child, providing reassurance and encouragement. He diligently communicates the services, and you do not feel rushed. Dr. Luke is for the kids! The front office staff is always cheerful, and accommodating. They're great! read more

My daughter hated going to the dentist until we found this office. Now she is excited to get her teeth clean. The pediatric dentist are wonderful! The team is professional and friendly! They always make us feel welcomed. The ballon at the end of the visit is a nice touch! read more

This was the worst experience my daughter ever had with a dentist. They push constant X-rays and radiation exposure on your child. They harassed and made false accusations against parents who question their unethical and hypocratic oath violations. They traumatized my daughter and confirmed by another dentist did a very poor job on her dental work. read more

I have been with Dr. Lombardozzi for more than 20 years! I have six children and all 6 have been well cared for all these years by Dr. Lombardozzi and his staff. The staff is AMAZING! They were awful!! They wanted to put a two-year-old boy under anesthesia on two separate occasions and do major surgeries. We consulted with two other pediatric dentists and an oral surgeon and they all said this was NUTS. These are his baby teeth and the issues he has are manageable without all these unnecessary procedures. The first surgery would cost $2000 and who knows what the second would cost. My husband walked in as a nervous dad looking for answers and they preyed on him like lions on the Serengeti. Thankfully we are educated enough to go elsewhere. I've been going to this dentist since I was little, but one incident in January 2014 encouraged me to find a new dentist. I went to get my teeth cleaned, and my girlfriend was with me. She took a nap while I was in the back; when I came back out, I sat down next to her and she put her arm around me while I leaned on her. There was one other person in there with their children. I'm not sure if they complained or if someone within the office saw us, but one of the administrative employees came out and told us "to wait until we left the office" and that "there were young children around". If you or your child(ren) identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, etc., this is not a safe space for you or them. Knowing that, I would infer that if you or they identify under the transgender umbrella, this is not a safe space for you or them. read more

My kids enjoy going to see Dr. Wood. They have a toy box and balloons. They try to move the kids in and out as quickly as they can to keep them happy. I like that I can stay with my kids the whole time. Some other pediatric dentist offices will make you wait in the waiting room. The big open area in the back makes it easy to be with both of my kids at the same time. read more

Beware of this place, folks. They are centered on making money, namely, suggesting procedures that aren't needed. My 6 year old daughter got a $470 filling in a baby tooth that is due to fall out soon. When our insurance did not pay for it, we had to pay the full fee. They neglected to offer us the less lucrative standard filling, which we definitely would have gone with. To add insult to injury, the billing staff we less than nice to my wife when she contested the charge. Go elsewhere and save yourselves the hassle. read more

I have 2 kids who have been going here for 5 years. Dr. Woods has never insisted we go to a hospital (he did my daughter's filling in his office - she was about 5 at the time), he's never suggested surgery, and everything has always been relatively simple. My biggest complaint is after the assistants are done cleaning my kids teeth, it usually take another 20 minutes or so until Dr. Woods comes to finish up. I wish it were faster. He wears a little doggy mouth covering to be funny and ease little kids fears. Sorta goofy as they get older, but he's always been very nice. I doubt we have the greatest insurance - most of our insurance stinks so I can't believe our dental is an exception, but I've never had to pay out of pocket anything that's more than $100 tops and usually much less. They have a toy room in their lobby and tvs showing kid programs. I don't know if it's more expensive than others because we just don't pay much. When my daughter had something done to her molars and it wore off in less than 3 years, he re-did it for free even though chewing ice and such can wear it down. This was about 2 weeks ago. So no problems on our end. read more

I have a 3 1/2 year old who is deathly afraid of the dentist. My son is also autistic. This dentist office is absolutely wonderful. Not only the staff is so kind, patient and so nice, the decor is so kid friendly and makes it less scary than other dental offices we have been to. They give the kids little toys, balloons and stickers. This place is awesome! read more

Dr. Lombardozi wanted to take my 4 year old daughter to the hospital and put her under general anesthesia to give her a filling. When I asked if he would do it at their office with just a bit of gas and a numbing shot, he said no and the only way he would treat her was at a hospital put under. I said I was going to another dentist. The next dentist I went to said they would do the filling in their office and they would never resort to general anesthesia as a first option. read more

Awesome not only to Dr Eddleton beautiful she's so sweet. She makes my son feel at ease every time you don't have long waits with her and her staff is top notch. Dr Lombardozzi and group are EXCELLENT and professional. When my son hit his mouth on a play table he needed stitches both on the inside and outside of his lip and Dr Lombardozzi stayed after hours to X-ray his mouth to make sure there were no fractures...would highly recommend this group, especially Dr L! read more

Very similar experience to others. We went in and Dr. Wood suggested a hospital visit with sedation. The total cost for his work and the hospital would be over $3K. We got a second opinion and there was no need for sedation or a hospital visit. The estimated price was $1K instead of the $3K. There was also some discrepancy in what needed to be completed. I would highly suggest moving on to a different practice. If you are in pediatrics you should be patient enough to work with kids. read more

We were 10min. late to our appt. due to circumstances out of our control. When we arrived we were walked back with the dental asst. to initial what would be done at the appt. I told her I wanted to confirm with the dentist what would be done, as what was written was different than what I thought previously discussed. Meanwhile my son was brought to the examination room and prepped. I had my other two children along with me, so I did my best to keep them occupied while we waited to for the dentist who was in a casual conversation with her colleague just outside the examination room where my son was waiting. I caught wind of the conversation as I walked laps with my active 16month old around the office. The conversation continued for over 15min. (I was timing it). Dentist was completely aware we were there. No further discussion regarding what was on the chart vs. what I understood to be done at the visit was done; which I later found out when my son was returned to me rather quickly, that the teeth cleaning that was suppose to have been done wasn't because there wasn't "enough time". I commented that the dentist had been involved in a conversation for over 15min. at which the asst. said, "You were late to the appt.". She said we could schedule another appt. to which I stated that wouldn't be necessary as we would be taking our business elsewhere. Where is the integrity of the dentist and her work. The cleaning of the teeth for the infected gums is important. Get over yourself and treat your patient. I will be sharing our experience with everyone to warn them of this practice. read more

I was refered to this office by my regular dentist after discovering my son needed extensive dental work. I went in for the consultation and the worked up a plan but recomended general anesthesia bc of the amount of work he would need. Only 2 of his permenat teeth needed work. Everything else was work on baby teeth. My son has had dental work done before in a regular office without any problems but they were insistant on putting him under general anesthesia. They went over the procedure with me... my deductable for the actual work was only $280. However bc of the general anesthesia they were recomending we go to Stoney Point surgery center. The addition fee for the staff to travel there was $404 and another $1250 for the anesthesia. They have a very firm no loop holes contract they have you sign and want to schedule you right away. The $280 was due up front which I paid but I did not schedule bc I was concerned about the additional cost. I called back my regular dentist who was able to work with my son and fill his teeth in 2 appoints for the $280. Problem was he has 3 absessed baby teeth they couldn't extract but said that he was so good with the fillings he would not need anesthesia and to call this office back bc they should be able to extract them as oral surgeons but in office. I called this office back to see if they could handle the absessed teeth and was told verbatim "since you've already gone to another practice they need to handle it". Needless to say I will never be going back there again. I have sought out other offices and all are willing to do it in office. I understand for some children the dentist may be traumatic but when I explained my kids have always been great at the dentist and it being a budget issue with coming up with almost $2000 up front I got a "Hard Sell" on why they needed to use the surgery center and anesthesia. The contract is very intimidating and pretty much leaves you little to no room if you actually schedule the surgery and have to move it. The office itself is beautiful but I guess it easy to keep it that way when you are solely focused on bringing in money and not the actual well being of patients. I gladly would've paid them to do my son's dental work. As a single mom I just wanted to know if they could do it in stages to lessen the blow of the cost... if I had the $2000 just sitting around they would've just cashed right in but since I couldn't come up with it they wrote me off and pretty much refused to work with me. read more
