The Scribe experience is truly like no other. My friends and I were visiting from Seattle and had been wanting to come here for a while. We were so pleased to know we could get on the waitlist for a tasting. First of all, the grounds are insanely beautiful. The architecture of the house and surrounding landscape was gorgeous. We were immediately enchanted. I was concerned with the high price (coming from Seattle) for the tasting, however, the food pairings made it all worth it! Absolutely delicious bites paired with fantastic wine - the standouts being the Rose and the Cabernet Sauvignon. I was so impressed with Scribe that I joined their membership despite not living nearby. The first shipment literally came days later. Unreal! So glad to have finally made it in here and cannot wait to return.

Absolutely incredible! We have been wanting to try Scribe for a long time and finally had the opportunity, if you can do it run! It was so worth it and the experience was amazing! The location and grounds were impeccable, the lunch was delicious and the staff was so friendly. Their outdoor seat was so beautiful overlooking their vineyards. Can't wait to visit again!

Scribe Winery is why you live in California, utterly amazing wine and food, great people, magnificent views of the vineyard. The prices are reasonable and the pours and heavy. The country side and estate are beautiful and the staff is fun, friendly and knowledgeable. This should be on your list of places to go.

Effortless charm, delicious wine, and views that make you lose track of time. Warm, welcoming service made it all the more memorable. Add it to your itinerary, you won't regret it. You're welcome :)

Went here before they switched to the membership model. Sat outdoors on a 100 degree day in October which I do not recommend when drinking wine lol. We got a tasting of the white wines and I left with a bottle of steel Chardonnay. Tasting snacks were good along with the service. Would like to stop by for one of the chef series. Probably one of the more picturesque and modern tasting rooms in the Napa valley.

Great atmosphere, gorgeous views, attentive service, and delicious pairings! After following scribe for a few years, my husband and I finally had the pleasure of visiting. Before arriving, our flight was delayed multiple times and the staff was very communicative and flexible to happily move our reservation to last of the day. Upon arrival we were seated on the porch of the stunning property. I appreciated the fresh florals and natural beauty of the building. I feel that it created an ambiance that matched the vibe of the wine and overall experience. Our server was very knowledgeable of wines and gave so much great information about vineyards they were derived from. Our pairings were incredible. Every ingredient intentional and balanced. Not one complaint and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Highly recommend going for the last tasting of the day and watching the sunset from this stunning property!

Arrived here on a Saturday morning at 11am and we were greeted with amazing energy and seated immediately for our reservation. We sat in a beautiful shaded spot on their beautiful estate! We received so much amazing history and stories behind the vineyard and the wine! Pictures attached to show the grounds, the snacks (they weren't lying about it being hearty), and our wines.

What a treat! This has been on my list for some time and it was definitely worth the wait. We came here for an afternoon Hacienda tasting outdoors with our pup. Very friendly service, sipping delicious wines with light and tasty food in a calm and pleasant setting. Highly recommend!

WOW! Easily the best winery I've ever visited, with incredible service and delicious wines. Our wine expert was Justin, and she was incredible. Not only was she knowledgeable about all the wines, but she had lovely anecdotes to share about the winery's history and the region. As a subscriber who had never visited Scribe before, this visit was everything I could have hoped for and more. I first signed up in November 2023, and while I've heard that industry-wide, subscribers typically drop their subscription after 18 months, I plan on staying a SVS member for the foreseeable future. Not only is Scribe on the cutting edge of wines, but they're future proofing themselves by getting young people into wine. If I was an investor, I'd throw all the money I have at them. As a subscriber, they'll continue to be my winery of choice and the place I purchase my nice wines from. The Hacienda Tasting had delicious food and wine pairings that truly satisfied. It was also lovely to be able to wander the grounds after we finished our tasting. I cannot recommend Scribe enough.

My family took me here for a birthday celebration and it was a nice. They offer a good tasting with wine pairings at outside tables overlooking the area. You are given a tasting when you arrive and then you are seated. The food tastings change with different chefs coming in every so often. The chef this time was Italian. They are very sensitive to dietary needs and will make adjustments. A new wine tasting was presented with each new dish. There was a total of four. We had different Pinot noirs and a reisling All were quite nice. They have a membership program and if you do the testing, you will take your scheduled wine with you when you leave. The only downside of the place was that there was only one restroom.

Disclosure: This was my first time in Sonoma, visiting family from San Francisco--and I was wowed. The wine tasting, paired with a light lunch fare, was everything I could have hoped for. The sparkling Pinot Rosé, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir were all exceptional and perfectly suited to my palate. Service and setting were both top-notch--A+ across the board.

One of the prettiest wineries I've been to, it felt smaller than most but more cozy and a different experience since you can actually walk around the house and into the open kitchen. I came here for a work event with around 30 people and the service and food was so good, everything tasted great and you can tell a lot of effort was put in. I loved the wines here, I actually couldn't keep up since we were getting so many options/refills. The only issues is there were a lot of fruit flies around and they would sometimes fly into your drink lol. But they'll give you a new one with no problem! Really pleasant experience and would love to come back on my own time

The wines are superb and the food pairing is exceptional. First know that you need to be a member or know a member for a tasting ( we were invited). Each tasting is paired with revolving gourmet cuisine prepared by top chefs. The spacious setting offers many places to enjoy wine-- indoors in their main building; outdoors with incredible views; and a patio with comfortable seating. Knowledgeable hosts cater to your wine preferences and provide detailed tasting notes: we were fortunate to have Aaron serve our party of 6- he was upbeat, fun, and shared some great insights on all the varietals. It's rare that I like every selection at a wine tasting, but without a doubt these were all extraordinary- from a dry Rose to a world class Pinot to a deliciously bold Cab. The atmosphere is a bit hip and trendy in a good way- these people who know what they like.

Ask the Community - Scribe Winery

Does the Hacienda tasting ($70) include decent food portions with the tastings? Or is it just snacks (almonds, olives, cheese?)

More on the snack end. There was a small salad and the almonds, olives, and cheese. Maybe one other thing - but not a meal.

Is the tasting fee (&70/person) waived if you join the winery?

No. I just called to ask yesterday.

    Are you dog friendly?

    They are

    Do they allow children?

I didn't see any toddlers but there were a few babies!

Are reservations absolutely necessary of can we go anytime of the day?

    Definitely reservations

    Is this winery dog friendly?

    Yes!!

She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and really took the time to tell us the story behind the wines and Obsidian. The tasting room has only been at this location for about two years, but it feels like one of those Sonoma spots you're glad you discovered. The space itself is small, modern, relaxed, and friendly. We were first introduced to them back when they had their tasting room at Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma. The setting there was incredibly welcoming--especially with our three young kids at the time--and between the atmosphere and the wines, we were hooked from the start. The wines are consistently outstanding. Their Lake County lineup really stands out, and the Volcanic Estate Cabernet has been a go-to in our house for years--it's always been reasonably priced and somehow overdelivers every single time we open a bottle. On the other end of the spectrum, the Half Mile is more of a special occasion wine for us, and it never disappoints. Winemaker Alex clearly knows what he's doing--his reds are fantastic across the board. The Cabernet, Petit Verdot, and Malbec from that volcanic Lake County fruit are bold, expressive, and incredibly well made. We've been wine club members for years now, which says a lot. Great wines, great people, and a place that's been part of our family's wine journey for a long time. Highly recommend.
