We had a lovely time with our server Quinnie! She gave our group of 6 a lot of attention and was on it with our tasting. The winery was clean and beautiful. The restrooms smelled amazing.. The wine flights were delicious and we had a lovely time. Really our server made the experience so wholesome. We appreciated that we had some pregnancies and they let us open NA wine no charge as well. Thank you so much Cline!

Great kid friendly winery. The wine enthusiasts pouring were so patient with us and 4 kids. They have coloring pages for the kids and snacks in the barn. Bring quarters to feed the fish and grab some hay for the donkeys. Wine is great!!! ;) bamboo forest to walk thru and huge grass area to run. Great property for adults and kids. We will be back!

An unforgettable afternoon at Cline Cellars! From the moment I walked in, Jerri (my personal wine educator) made me feel instantly welcome. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and had me seated outside with a glass in hand before I could even finish saying "Pinot." The setting is gorgeous--flowers everywhere, peaceful ponds, and a relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay all day. I enjoyed a delicious cheese and charcuterie board while tasting through a fantastic lineup of wines. Bonus: I brought my watercolors and actually got to sit and paint while sipping wine. It doesn't get better than that. Great wine, great people, and a peaceful, beautiful atmosphere. Cline is a must-visit in Sonoma! -- Kristen

So I first visited this winery back in the mid 2000s. Totally loved that tasting as it was super mellow on a weekday early afternoon and I totally got introduced to this winery's offerings. Fast forward to present day and they seem much more popular as the tasting room was very busy even for a weekday out. But they seem to have adjusted to that as you can taste standing up in the tasting room or go have a seat outdoors anywhere within the building and get the pours brought to you, for just $10 more per flight tasting. I chose the latter as coming from a road trip, I just wanted a stop to relax and smell the roses. Well a glass of NorCal red will do here. First I will point out that their grounds are immaculate. Most wineries are, but some are more rustic/farm-like. This one is very manicured and geared for tourist. The vibe also is very Southern to me, like Georgia plantation. The house/visitor's building has this southern charm to it with a covered wooden porch that wraps around the whole building. Some of the outdoor tastings are held here, especially in non-peak hours as the employees won't have to go too far for pours. I found being out on that porch very relaxing, they even had soft volume reggae piped from the stealthy speaker system. A tad warm that day, but I was taking that over the stuffy tasting room where people were standing elbow to elbow. Got to taste about 5 wines. I told my host/pourer that I was mostly into red wines, so she improvised the printed tasting a bit, and I always appreciate that. I tasted 1 rose (Vin Gris) which was actually phenomenal as I usually just find most roses to be meh. This one was special, more complex, just not sweet and fruity. The tastings on this out were more geared for the grapes grown in their Sonoma vineyards. Tasted 2 pinot noirs from 2 different areas, 1 zin and 1 cabernet sauvignon. I did remember on my first out here that the tasting was more geared towards their Rhone style grapes/blends. I didn't get any of that on this out. I more than usually will buy a few bottles from a winery, and this place will waive the tasting fee, if you buy 2 bottles or more. Which I find super fair and awesome. I always give the crooky side eye to those wineries that still charge $30+ for a tasting even after purchasing over $80 in wine. (Side-eye straight to Napa wineries). I also found the wines here to be of great value and nothing was really over-the -top. Most wines were like between $28 to $60. Didn't really see anything over that, as most places do these days. I didn't get a sense that they were out to produce luxurious rich and heavy wines. I just sense bright yet with structure wines meant to go with food. And I am always a fan of that, as I can't wait to pair my take-home bottles with a good meal.

The ambiance here is so nice! I'm not particularly a wine connoisseur, and the wine here is great and has a good variety. They have lovely reds and whites and the decor and vibes are just perfect for a California spring or summer day. We stopped by confirming our reservation with the host. Unfortunately, once we were seated, we didn't get the best service. Maybe the servers forget about our table, but we weren't served until we asked. The servers were very apologetic and really did make up for the very slight issue. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would still recommend a stop here since the ambiance is so great!

You will not regret stopping by! An incredibly walkable and beautiful property with cute donkeys, multiple ponds, and scattered cabanas you can hang out in. The folks working at Cline were incredibly kind and knowledgeable, they seemed so happy to be there talking to you and were incredibly attentive and I never felt rushed. Heavy pours for their wine samples. I loved the Chardonnay the most, it was crisp and light and refreshing! Came away happy with many bottles of wine and their prices were so reasonable.

This winery has so much potential and we thought it was going to be spectacular, but unfortunately it was our worst wine tasting experience in Sonoma. The setting is definitely beautiful, but we did not care for the wines and our wine tasting host was very in attentive. We had to ask for water twice and then she still didn't bring it and we had to ask someone else. So much potential, but it just fell short. Which is sad because their sister winery across the street was fantastic.

LOVEEEED my holiday visit to Cline! We had an amazing time with Josie, she was so gracious and knowledgeable! I thought it would be slow because the rain... but the tasting room was full! And yet miss josie was still able to be very attentive despite the crowd. Her passionate stories about the family and the wines convinced me to even buy a couple bottles

We were on our way to another winery when we stumbled upon Cline for a quick pit stop. We loved it immediately and decided to sign up for a membership! They make the membership experience super simple. We come up every quarter or so for a free wine tasting and to pick up our wines. The membership makes sense if you gift or drink 3 wine bottles a quarter. It's easy to make a reservation online or to walk in. They just opened up their clubhouse in the back which is only open to members. You can also sit outdoors around the patio or on their benches with umbrellas. My favorite part about Cline is that they host tons of events, almost once every month. They come at a small cost to members. I have yet to make one but plan to in the future! My current favorite wine is the Grenache Gris

This is a really beautiful winery that's also very fairly priced. They also let you waive one tasting when you order two bottles of wine. You have the option to eat outside on their beautiful patio overlooking their lake. There also multiple fountains, a bamboo grove, and even donkeys on the premises.

Date of Visit: 5/20/2023 If you are looking for a winery in Napa Sonoma area that offer glass or bottle service, I highly recommend the Cline Family Cellars located in Sonoma right by Highway 121. Cline offers Pondside Sips & Bites that you can order any bottle from the wine list to pair with picnic basket or Cheese and Charcuterie plate. The atmosphere is very cozy and relax. And don't forget to check out the garden and the donkeys, Pudding and Fancy, at the back! Cheese & Charcuterie Board $25 The portion is about 2-3 person. Recommend to book it on Tock when making the reservation since they don't make it on site. There are three kinds of cheese and two different charcuterie, with strawberry jam, biscuit and oranges to pair with. 2021 Hat Strap Chardonnay $30 We got one bottle of the Chardonnay, which was crisp and light bodied. 2020 Cashmere Red $26 We also got another bottle of red blend, which is the signature GSM blend from Central Coast.

Beautiful winery with an expansive wine list and great service! I recently visited for the first time and will definitely be back. The property was amazing - surrounded by vineyards, multiple tasting facilities, ponds, cabanas, picnic areas, donkeys, this place really had it all! They had a lot of traditional wines you'd expect to see in the area, as well as some less common and less known varietals. We enjoyed tasking both the known and lesser known and enjoyed many of them. Our favorites from the tasting were the Eight Spurs Zin and the Hat Straw Chardonnay. If I had more space for wine I would've left with much more than the 3 bottles I took. It was really fun learning about the winery and its history. From its roots in Contra Costa County to its current home in Sonoma and all of the different vineyards they have, it truly is a cool story. We were very lucky to experience some behind the scenes action and get to see a lot of the property. Looking forward to coming back again and trying more wine!

The landscaping and architecture of this neo-Tuscan vineyard is breathtaking and, coupled with the warm, rolling hills of the Sonoma gap, one could easily believe they were in Italy. The food options were limited and rather pricey but one rarely visits a winery for the food. Plus, being within the most renowned wine-making region in the united states, I can hardly fault them for expensive fare. Booked the wine tasting for four. initially we planned to do the outlook where we were given a wooden cabana to sit with our group from afar. It looks aesthetic and alluring, but when we sat inside to see how it was, it felt cold and the walls were so high that you couldn't even view the vineyard. one of those things where the idea is great, but execution not so much. Ended up on the heated terrace which was way more comfortable. Service: 2/5 our server didn't seem very knowledgeable about the wine when we asked questions and of the information that she gave us, it sounded like a list of notes from a description that the wine maker gave her. This was very disappointing. The entire interaction felt strange, and there was no eye contact. We all felt rushed because when we weren't done drinking the wine, she would always come in and tell us she's gonna pour us the next wine, then leave, just so we need to finish the current glass we had. In general, if we aren't able to finish a glass of wine fast enough, or we just don't want to it would be nice if the winery could provide more glasses for us to try the rest of the wines instead of being rushed and using the same glass for every round. Overall, this place is great if you want something very casual. It's such a fun place to sip on wine with friends. Butttt, if you are looking for a true wine experience to learn, this is not the place.
