Fabulous winery with great service and a beautiful property! We had a reservation to come taste here on a Saturday and enjoyed their inside tasting room as everything outside was wet. The tasting room had a bit of greenery and a beautiful stained glass window that gave the space a fun vibe. They offered two different tasting flights, so we got one of each to try a good variety of their wines. Between the big reds and mixed estate flight, we liked more wines on the Estate menu. Pours were nice and big, which was great since we were sharing the wines, we were each able to get a real taste of them. We were helped by Melissa who was very knowledgeable on the history of the winery, family, property, and all the wines. She was fun to chat with and offered great customer service. We had planned to also enjoy the hiking trails on the property as well, but it had been rainy all week so we opted to skip the muddy trails - definitely want to come back for that since they have a few trails and you're able to walk through some areas of the vineyard on them! We ended up leaving with 4 bottles of wine, a red, rosé, and two white. Excited to come back and enjoy the grounds!

A stunning winery out in nature! Highly recommend this spot for good wine & a nature walk. The woman who poured our tasting was so kind & friendly & knowledgeable. The place is so welcoming & cozy when you walk in. You could sit, chat, & drink wine for hours here.

I knew of this winery but never visited or even tried it, there is so many in this region. It was a flawless Sunday so we had things for a picnic and took a chance on this place to see if there was a place that we could have a picnic. It was a beautiful location and we went to the shop to have a taste and to buy a bottle of wine we picked a white that was very good and took our bottle Out to their picnic grounds where we sat in the warm afternoon Sign and enjoyed the wine and our location it was perfect and I highly recommend this place.

The Mrs. asked me to find a beautiful winery and I was successful in finding that In Bartholomew Estate Winery and Vineyard. Bartholomew is nestled in the hills of Sonoma. It encompasses some 375 acres and is not only a winery, but a public park with several hiking trails. The first hospital that was built in Sonoma is also located on the grounds and serves as the tasting room. The outdoor tasting area is located in a beautiful grove of California oak trees. The Mrs. Said it was the most beautiful place we'd ever been wine tasting. I would have to agree. As you're sitting there sipping a glass of wine, you forget the outside world. Believe me, it is very easy to do. Pouring for us was a very boisterous Italian gentleman who knew ever detail about the wine. It made fir a great experience! Tasting was $45 for four very generous pours. The prices of the wines were very reasonable as well. If you're looking for a fun and relaxing wine country experience, check out Bartholomew...just make a reservation.

Great place to go for a hike followed by some wine tasting in a beautiful setting. We found some of the wines to our liking and actually purchased two. They have beautiful outdoor eating areas set up for the days that they serve food so check their website for details.

Kids are welcomed here! Nowadays highly recommend reservations for all vineyards. Lovely estate with picnic tables for you to picnic. No reservations for picnic tables. 10-5pm. Outdoor seating with waiters require reservations. Hiking: easy trail to find. But medium level difficulty. Lots of loose rocks. Very steep and slippery segments. Like diamond head in oahu but rougher. We went back instead of finishing the whole circle. Wine: need reservations for tastings. No food. Closes at 5. You can buy a bottle and drink on your own. They have a table area with waiters to look after you. At picnic tables you need to bring your own glasses. No indoor seating because of Covid. May be very hot for wine tastings in the summer. Staff: nice lovely staff. Attentive. Of the red wine offerings, the zinfandel was lovely.

Bartholomew Estate is a can't miss for tourists and locals alike! My family and I enjoyed the $45 tasting that included 2 whites, a rosè, and 2 reds. All wines were delicious and the pours were large. The views are unmatched and you can enjoy a day in the expansive park surrounding the winery before or after your tasting. The staff were very friendly and attentive. As a bonus, they are dog-friendly both indoors and outdoors (no kids allowed though)!

They have a large fish pond and it's 25 cents for a cup of fish food to feed the turtles and koi. This is one of the most family friendly wineries I've seen. Many people bring their kids. They have corn holes too. Fancy and Pudding were the highlight! I reached out and felt like a Disney princess having one of them come to me for pets. The restrooms were very clean as well! It was fun browsing the store too. And of course the tasting and charcuterie board were a fantastic experience. I loved the cheeses and almonds they had. I appreciated the personal attention, but it became a bit uncomfortable as the staff member sat with us between pourings. I would have liked the option to take our time drinking the wines, but I felt uncomfortable and slightly rushed as this person sat with us and did not always speak te whole time. We did arrive 30 minutes late due to the Tock app (reservation app) guiding us to the wrong location. We called Hamel to notify them and the person said they would wait for us, but I detected a bit of a tone. I also emailed Tock, which they responded quickly but basically said that they investigated it and it was basically an issue on Apple's side of things. No acknowledge of the inconvenience this had on me and my husband. We did receive a very tasty appetizer made by their world-renowned chef, but the wine fell short in my opinion. It seemed a bit watered down with little flavor overall. The wine is very expensive along with the wine tasting. Ultimately, I think you're paying for the view, experience and the cost of those new buildings.

Booked the wine tasting for four. initially we planned to do the outlook where we were given a wooden cabana to sit with our group from afar. It looks aesthetic and alluring, but when we sat inside to see how it was, it felt cold and the walls were so high that you couldn't even view the vineyard. one of those things where the idea is great, but execution not so much. Ended up on the heated terrace which was way more comfortable. Service: 2/5 our server didn't seem very knowledgeable about the wine when we asked questions and of the information that she gave us, it sounded like a list of notes from a description that the wine maker gave her. This was very disappointing. The entire interaction felt strange, and there was no eye contact. We all felt rushed because when we weren't done drinking the wine, she would always come in and tell us she's gonna pour us the next wine, then leave, just so we need to finish the current glass we had. In general, if we aren't able to finish a glass of wine fast enough, or we just don't want to it would be nice if the winery could provide more glasses for us to try the rest of the wines instead of being rushed and using the same glass for every round. Overall, this place is great if you want something very casual. It's such a fun place to sip on wine with friends.
