When I called the shop said they didn't have time to repair it until the end of the week however I could bring it in and they would look at it and give me an estimate. Prior me taking the car in the owner told me over the phone that these leaks mainly come from the vacuum pump. This made me think "This guy knows what hes doing " as it is exactly what I saw on the Internet. After taking the car in they confirmed that the oil was leaking from the vacuum pump. For the amount of labor I thought the estimate was reasonable. After talking about it with my daughter we decided to fix it on our own. When I went to pick up the car they said no charge and even gave me some tips on how to repair the leak ourselves. These guys are great. I will definitely bring my other vehicles to this repair garage.

Why is the owner not supervising these young technicians? They have very little experience and should be supervised by experienced in licensed mechanics. When I picked up my vehicle, the alignment seemed way off. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the work they performed, but they certainly took the two front rims and tires off the vehicle. All I can tell you is my steering wheel was jiggly back & forth driving over 60mph. As a result, I have to take my suv to a tire shop for a wheel alignment. Another $100 bucks.

Loaded to the sideboards my daughter Hannah and I set off for Bridgeport Ca, (eastern sierras) last Saturday. My normally smooth running 2014 Jeep Wrangler 3.6 l v6 suddenly developed a serious issue. Pulling over to O'Reilly's in Oakdale as soon as the engine light started flashing resulted in me finding out that I had a cylinder 6 misfire and no local mechanics able to take a look. I noticed in Modesto Sergio's shop with 4.9 stars and called. He was able to fit me in. We limped in to Modesto where we found his shop. Walking through the graveyard of trucks was not encouraging but Sergio's son was...He re-assured us that his dad and uncle would fix everything. Thus began a 4.5 hour adventure of getting back on the road. Our experience at Sergio's involved his (and his brother's) methodical diagnostic process. At every stage we were informed about the procedure and their findings. It was a 97 degree day but cool in the air conditioned office where Sergio's family brought us water and assured us all would be well. The troubleshooting, test driving and removals (many times) of the manifold resulted in Sergio's methodical diagnostic. (I was a mechanic for 4 years I know)...New NGK spark plugs, ignition coils and even prayers to the Virgin of Guadalupe resulted in our Jeep leaving in tip top shape. Hannah and I spent the next three days driving over the 26% grade of Sonora Pass, 4 wheeling to Bodie and returning. The Jeep has never run better (153,438 miles). It is currently getting better mileage than it ever has (20.2) and climbing hills more efficiently. I only wish we didn't live in San Jose. Sergio's family Car Service and Junkyard is a place of integrity, hard work, honesty and caring. They want nothing more than for you to trust them to fix your car the best it can be fixed.
