I have always been a very skeptical person about a lot of things. On the other hand, I love and trust so many that I shouldn't. Over a year ago I was going through an assortment of difficult things in my life and everything seemed to come to a head all at the same time. I quickly developed more frequent and severe panic and anxiety attacks, I shut down emotionally to everyone that mattered to me. I was falling apart at work, and I wanted immediate results for everything I had zero control over which only enhanced the already overwhelming panic and anxiety I had been carrying for many years. Then one day, while scrolling through IG, I came across an ad talking about Hypnotherapy. I was extremely cynical about the whole idea of hypnosis in general, but I listened as Rochelle's calm and soothing voice briefly explained a little bit about her practice. As I sat in the room where I was staying for the holidays, I decided I had nothing else to lose so I clicked on her link and entered some of my information. About 30 minutes later a young lady contacted me. She introduced herself and told me that she works for Rochelle. I sat there and listened, willing myself to tell her I had accidentally clicked on the add, that I wasn't interested, and to have to nice day. Another episode of panic kept trying to creep over me but the woman I was speaking to seemed to sense this and began speaking to me as if she was a life coach instead of trying to sell a product. I listened with such intensity when I realized the switch she had made and I remember feeling a sense of calm just by having someone listen to me. That day changed my life. I signed up for Rochelle's program and, although it was [pricey to me at the time], it has been the 2nd, if not THE best decision I have made for myself. I met with Rochelle via Zoom about a week later. She and I live on opposite coasts. The apprehension I had that day almost brought me back to the day I signed up. This is important to me because I don't like talking about what's going on with me. I love helping others and the one that's supposed to be helping others shouldn't need help, but I truly did. Rochelle's voice and demeanor were even more pleasant on the video chat. She was warm, comforting, informative, inquisitive, sensitive, but also firm in her approach. Unbeknownst to me, I needed all of that to be able to counter my out of control emotions. I wanted to spill everything that had gone wrong in my life to her as fast as I could and in the time alloted. She patiently listened and took notes. She only interrupted to make sure she clearly understood what I was saying. Even after I felt like I had talked her to death, she still had a smile on her face and told me I wasn't alone in my thoughts and ways of thinking. She assured me I wasn't crazy and that with everything I was and had been through, it was normal for me to be where I was. She then explained that where I was at; mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically, and professionally, were not where I was going to be for much longer and everything we would do together moving forward would take time but also require me to open my mind to something so new to me and be ready. I dont know why I trusted this woman, whom I had just met, to help me with all the worldly problems I was going through, but I did, and it was the best decision and I would never change it. Rochelle and I met for our next session via phone and after telling her how my week had been, and also trying to talk about all my issues at once again, I say we, but she, decided to go ahead and do our first hypothesis and focus on one issue in particular to focus on at a time. She instructed me to find a quiet, comfortable spot free from distractions and she began the process. When I tell you I was cautious, that would have been an understatement but something inside me allowed me to let go and deeply listen to what she was saying and focus on her words. I'm not sure how long I was out for but when I came to, it was dark and I was clinging to my phone. Rochelle had successfully hypnotized me! I was scared yet optimistic. I was confused but hopeful. Then I received a message from Rochelle wishing me well until our next session, some positive words of affirmation, and a copy of my session instructing me to listen to it over and over in between our sessions to help me. I didn't think it would have the same effect on me without her being there but I did. I shouldn't have listened to it while driving but I did do that once too! Sorry, and no nothing happened to me, I was just not able to focus as intently as I needed to. Over the course of the last 15 months or so that I have been meeting with Rochelle, I truly believe I have grown. I have grown stronger as a person and stronger mentally to be able to do so much more than I thought I was able to before. I decided to try it out. I ended up purchasing the 12 session package. It worked out to be much cheaper per session. I figured this wouldn't be a one and done thing. This process takes several seasons. I worked with Rochelle Cook, one of the founders. I was having serious issues that acupuncture and other Dr.s work wasn't fully helping the situation. I do recommend working with you other dr and using this a supplemental. Before we even got started( before buying anything), Rochelle called me directly just to talk to me and see how things were going. To see how she could help and if I would be the right thing for me... no obligation at that point. I had other questions, and she answered me pretty quickly. Once I got started the first session was longer to know more about me and what direction to take with hypothesis. Rochelle is an extremely genuine person. I felt comfortable talking with her and she listened to me. My hypothesis each time was different. It depends on what is bothering you that day or week. It's customized to you and your situation. I think you need to multiple sessions just to get to the bottom of what is really going on. The bottom line is my experience with Joymind and Rochelle was a positive one. Nothing prepares you for the loss of someone close, even when you see them deteriorate gradually. All my projects came to a halt, as did classes to help the family take care of the dying family member. It's emotionally debilitating to watch someone who helped to raise you not be able to walk, roll over in bed for simple comfort, hold a glass, and perform other normal daily living functions so many of us take for granted. After several months, the family member made their transition; family roles shifted, and I was not ready for this. There were other shifts--too many to deal with at that time. After the death of my family member, I was ready for a change and needed to focus on myself and my personal mental and physical wellness. Rochelle was a nice person but a bit distracted and disorganized through our interactions. I had initially scheduled a consultation for a Friday (to see if we could work together), but then she randomly called me the Wednesday prior to let me know she was able to speak right then. So we did end up chatting a few days before my original scheduled date, she seemed receptive to our conversation so then I booked an initial 90-minute session with her for $400 that she pre-billed/charged that I paid for (it was slated to be 60-minutes discussion, 30-minutes hypnosis). Prior to the call I got an email from her asking if it were 60-minutes or 90-minutes and if I had paid. This was a bit concerning as we had discussed 90-minutes during our session and that I had already paid for it (like she didn't remember our conversation - albeit, she probably has a few clients, but would assume that she had records). The day of the call itself, she was very friendly, but a couple of red flags for me, she was seemingly more interested in the weather (there was a thunderstorm) than my conversation (to the point where she would randomly bring it up and asked her daughter to keep her office door open so she could hear it - which means her family was privy to our conversation). She didn't really seem to listen until she thought there was a chance she knew the person I was speaking about (like she asked questions to determine if it was the person she had in mind - which I would assume is a violation of sorts). Finally we got to the hypnosis part and it was very weird (she literally sang a weird jingle) and did not seem to have any effect, and I have listened to it once a day as recommended during the session. When she had sent the recording, she asked if I felt as though it had done anything, to which I responded not really, but was interested to see if it would affect a conversation I had coming up -- which she took as I was ready to schedule a session every other week, which seemed she was more excited about another billing client than helping me. read more

When I first started here I was lost and broken. I honestly wanted a change for me and my daughter. I came to Joymind and I met Rochelle when I was dealing w/ and trying to move past a very difficult situation. I absolutely love working with Rochelle. She has such a gentle spirit and open heart. Sessions with her are much more like talking with a friend who helps guide you into healthy thinking than a counseling session (though that type of therapy has it's place too). Beware of this business They scammed me For starters they played a very shady trick to take payment the first time I called saying they only had opening for the next day and would be booked for weeks not knowing the next opening They knew the love I have for the person I wanted therapy for and they spoke very nice and professional at first saying she was talked to by Oprah and that the therapy they do works The next day came and I was called saying they needed to reschedule to Thursday Seems fishy to me if they said they were fully booked weeks in advance once before I paid $400 for a 90 minute session Once the appointment for Thursday had came I was given a 15 minute confirmation via email All information in regards to the number that would be called and time was correct The time came and no one called I was emailed a few minutes later that I gave the wrong number but the email confirmation had the correct information including the number that they said they would call when the appointment was time and ms rochelle emailed me to call the assistant I called her and she said she had no idea what was going on and that to just call ms rochelle very unprofessional unorganized work behavior Fishy once again because I gave the right information and was cut about 10 minutes with there mistake I call ms rochelle and she says I gave the wrong number When I had not No apologies and after witnessing the recent happenings I still gave the benefit of the doubt with my open heart when I should have not even continued with it In total from what they said would be 30 minutes of speaking and 1 hour of the hypnosis therapy Was in fact a total of 58 minutes with both the call and therapy I have photo proof of both calls and disputed the charge as services not being completely rendered Because it was not As soon as I came back to my little brother and asked how it went the first thing I was told was it was not 90 minutes and showed me the calls I immediately called the assistant and she said she was also aware and admitted it was cut short not knowing why herself but that we would have the other 30 minutes any time we'd like and to just call and say when When again at the first call they said they are completely booked weeks in advance No explanation of why his session was cut short afterwards nor did I receive a apology The assistant actually grew a aggressive tone and attitude when I called after the session I feel as though they took advantage of my love for my little brother and to be honest upon the first call I admit I did notice hoping to be wrong a almost jealous energy of my happy aura during the first call from both the assistant and ms Rochelle of being as young as I am and able to afford the amount they ask I now know to listen to my intuition I started my own business at 22 years old and have had it for three years and never have had a review like this on my Yelp page Because I only practice good business and truly care to give my customers what they requested and paid for My heart couldn't even scam a stranger I heard the calls and ms rochelles tone didn't seem truly interested or of genuine help The first thing he said was not at all saying he felt it worked or that he felt better He was concerned that I was scammed He's only 14 years old and that says a lot UPDATE I did say to the assistant that he said it may help and that my only interest is that he gets the help he needs. I never said anything to the degree of life changing nor did he tell me that. When I asked him how he admitted that he only said yes because he felt bad that I was scammed by them that she truly didn't help because they did not give him the time I paid for. ms s emailed me afterwards that she would give us 30 minutes free. It's not free when I paid for the time and was not given it Notice how she is not admitting This business owner is clearly deceiving A true good biz owner would acknowledge her faults and errors apologize and make it right She did nothing but deny and lie and dismiss Karma is real and I'll let it do as it does You have all been warned ! Rochelle is a kind, intelligent, empathic human being who is truly blessed with the gift of helping others. Within moments of speaking to her, I could tell she was in alignment with her path. I found Rochelle on yelp about a month back and she has been a lifesaver!! All the reviews are accurate, she's awesome, and has an amazing way of showing you and guiding you on healing.
