My experience with Rochester Laser Center was very disappointing. I had Botox done and was unhappy with the results. They applied 50 units, which is much more than I had ever received before, yet I did not get the expected effect. In addition, one of my eyebrows became droopy, which made me feel very sad and dissatisfied with the procedure. I returned to the clinic looking for a solution, but unfortunately, the person who assisted me gave many excuses and, to make matters worse, wanted to charge me for additional injections to correct a problem caused by the original procedure. I have been a client of Rochester Laser Center since 2023, but my most recent experience on March 4, 2026 was extremely disappointing. I scheduled and confirmed a Botox appointment for 5:00 PM. I have also made it clear to the staff during past visits--including as recently as November 2025--that I specifically prefer Botox because other injectable products do not work well for me and have caused adverse reactions in the past. At this appointment, I was not informed that a different product would be used. The injector proceeded with the treatment, and only after the injections were completed did I learn--when reviewing the receipt emailed to me while still at the center--that I had been charged $728 for Letybo, not Botox. I was never asked for consent to use Letybo, did not sign any treatment or product authorization forms, and did not sign a credit card receipt for the service. When I questioned the receptionist, I was told that Letybo was "the same thing," which is misleading. Botox and Letybo are different products with different formulations and dosing. After the treatment, I experienced facial pain and migraine symptoms that I have never experienced with Botox. Because of the lack of transparency and informed consent, I canceled my membership the same day and will not be returning. My concern is simple: I did not receive the service I scheduled or agreed to, and the product used was substituted without my knowledge or approval. I hope the business improves its communication and consent practices so this does not happen to other clients. read more

Very concerning experience I had at this location. I purchased the 40 u Groupon offered. I was injected with only 30 units without my knowledge or telling me according to the unprofessional SOAP note I had to request after I had to come in for a second visit for the poor results. I have been getting 40 units of Botox for years at a doctors office with no issues. I discussed this at my initial appointment (not documented on my "SOAP" note as previous history) I was excited to see a discount on Groupon, so I figured I would give it a try. My technician completely disregarded that they stole at least 10 units (or possibly more) secretly from the first visit. I went to RLC at the tail end of April with a $300 Groupon for 40 units of Botox. My main reason getting it was for my glabella (the lines between your eyes) and secondly for the wrinkles on my forehead Well it seemed to work a little bit on one of the lines between my eyes and not so much on the other. I thought no big deal they'll make it right so I called them after 2 weeks expressing how highly disappointed with my results. They told me to come in, I did. She injected another 12 units and to my surprise, they charged me full price for those those 12 additional units that did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! It's now about a 5-6 weeks later and ALL THE BOTOX HAS WORN OFF ! My eyebrows have FULL movement AND my glabella lines are just as they were before and lets not talk about the wrinkles on my forehead that are STILL present. I called them again, they do NOT do free touch ups... so I feel VERRRRY much taken advantage of and totally ripped off of over $400!!! Not a good way to run a business ROCHESTER LAZER CENTER!!! I have had Botox several times before and 40 units has always worked for me and they DO offer FREE touch up's btw!!!! I have been going to a professional dermatologist for over 6 years. This was my first visit to RLC. I did not have a good experience. I expressed areas of concern and with the amount of product received (Botox) I did not get even near the results I received from my other place of business. Returned at a later date to have areas adjusted ... eyes were not addressed at all. Forehead (only)was injected with minimal results. I am questioning the product and or amount of product. I received far better results with same amount of product from the other facility. (Meaning: after my tweaking.. (old location as well as RLC) comparatively apples to apples far better results at my old location. My original appointment was also canceled last minute and RLC asked if I could reschedule. I then made an appointment for that Friday which I had to cancel because I was out of town. There were only 8 business days between my initial visit and my rescheduled 2nd visit. (I was told by office staff that too much time had passed and that I was more or less seeking feee product). Never asked for free product. Also, I was charged full price for my second visit to fix what wasn't addressed properly the first time. I have never been charged at my other location for fixing/ tweaking from initial visit. Poor customer service. To be clear, on my first visit to my old office, they also did not put enough product (Botox) around eye area..... I went back and she fixed it ... (no charge) as there is a learning curve with any new client. The result.... a happy returning customer! Not looking for FREE product just great customer service. As I am aware, many places do work this way and understand the importance of retaining clientele. This unfortunately is not the case with RLC Also, on my first visit, there was a special running ($100) off. Office staff did not offer this nor mention it while I was at my first appointment. My girlfriend who had an appointment right after me called me to ask if I received the discount. I had to call and request the discount myself. Had it not been for my friend I would've paid full price. Poor product. Issues not entirely addressed and certainly poor customer service in regards to maintaining clients. A revisit addressing same areas with same product should have been covered. I have been going to Rochester Laser for approximately two years. At that time, Revea (sp?) and Danielle were outstanding in the office! Never had an issue with anything. Steve had been a GREAT injector! Danielle didn't return back in to the office when they reopened from the Covid imposed shutdown, and upon their reopening, is when my experience took a massive downward spiral! November 2020 was a total waste of time and money! My own before and after photos no difference. I waited three weeks to inform the office that I not only did not see any improvement, in fact, I looked worse. My bestie is a specialized, highly trained medical professional with over 30 years experience and has complimented me in the past before. I've always admired her honesty! While in Michigan visiting over the first few days of December, she asked when I was going for Botox. When I explained I just had she said "honey you can not tell at all. You need to phone to let them know". Having grown up in a medical professional environment and supporting this philosophy, I phoned Rochester Laser to let them know of the failed Botox job, believing they would at least be sympathetic, and want to know when something of this nature occurred. Not what happened! Renee in the office was SO unprofessional, very defensive, indicating that it was my fault bc I didn't get injected at 3 months (3-5 months has been my norm) and that she stated that I needed more Botox units! She also stated she receives 70 units and that I am older than her and simply need more Botox. This is both highly UNETHICAL and UNPROFESSIONAL all while done over the phone! Another observation at Rochester Laser that I have never witnessed at other locations, is the vial stopper has never been in place to secure the product! Instead the vials are wide open, no stopper whatsoever and exposed to who knows what? They always extract Botox from a vial with no stopper! Yikes! Just learned this isn't cool! I had another consult, new location with a medical doctor in the Southfield area, which is on the way home from the law firm where I am employed. My coworkers highly recommended him. I was told by the medical doctor, at this new location, that I didn't even need over 20 units. I do not know if it was the new doctor's technique or better Botox but WOW! What amazing results! I can tell a difference within 24 hours. One other word of caution: I use to bank Botox units here. Since the reopening following Covid, those banked units of Botox just "disappeared". Did not properly prepare nails for procedure. Procedure was a waste of money without proper preparation; can't tell if it would have worked because they refused to take any corrective measures for 7 months. Staff was friendly, but customer service in dealing with complaint is AWFUL. Only response is to provide a litany of post-care instructions for the next 9 months which will resolve the issue whether the procedure was performed or not. I got a call saying that that time was double booked and the nice woman asked me if I could reschedule. No big deal. Saturday morning I get another phone call asking me if I can come in earlier because the woman who was supposed to do my service had a time block. No big deal again. The receptionist was not very polite and made me feel like an inconvenience. She told me I could keep my appointment for 345 or reschedule.
