Since I've had the creative bug myself lately Keeza and I chatted about how she got started making some of the beautiful jewelry on display in the shop as an apprentice under Robin. Of note are the pieces made from local sea glass. You can even bring in a piece of sea glass for them and they will make a custom piece of jewelry of your liking. How cool is that! GIA reports don't list origin of the gem so I'm not sure it would be very helpful anyway. The first time I called and asked for a copy of the report, told me they'd get it to me in two weeks, but never called me back. I then tried to contact them via their website contact form and they never replied. Since then when I call, no one picks up. I would like to give these guys a chance to make things right and at least provide me with the information they promised me. They have my phone number. Maybe they will see this and reach out? I took the recent purchase to my jeweler in my hometown because I noticed that a few diamonds were missing. Before I even told him where we purchased the ring or how much we paid, he told me that I the missing diamonds had nothing to do with me. He stated that the prongs had been ripped off. He said it would cost between 200-300 to fix the ring and then stated but, it was only worth about $500.00. We paid $2,980.00 for the ring! We were told it was one of a kind. Going to Carmel you would think that the Jewelers there would be reputable. I have tried to call a few times and each time I do, I receive an answering machine stating they are off that day. Concidience? I have called the Carmel Chamber of Commerce to report them. Very sad and disappointed. I would think that Carmel would want to do better than that.

Throughout this, he would not stop engaging us and he made it very difficult to leave. If you thought we couldn't afford anything in your store, why constantly engage us in a one-sided dialogue? The other workers were also deep in conversation in front of a few of their display cases, blocking them from our line of sight. There was plenty of room to stand elsewhere. What a great sales tactic. It was just an all around strange experience. The items were all fine - not my style, but reasonably someone else's. There's a spring-loaded bracelet that I was almost tempted by, but my goal was to just get out of the establishment. Make sure to only show up if you're flashing designer items or ooze generational wealth out of your pores.
