Tempest is one of the most intuitively talented artist i have worked with, she has an incredible sense of info in many areas. From her custom one of a kind jewelry designs to her crystal energetic knowledge. I love going to her shop and exploring her gems. She always helps me feel so good. She offers genuine advise with quality stones and jewelery. I would recommend her indefinitely!

A wide variety of handmade jewelry, geodes, crystals, etc. The owner is so sweet, helpful, and knowledgeable. Her dog is super sweet too!

Well, where do I start? I've been doing business with Peter & Alex for over 30 years. Peter and…read moreAlex are most Professional Jewelers I have ever known. They are also the nicest people in the world. They know everybody in the Jewelry business so if they don't have it in stock they can get it for you. Alex is a World Class Bench Jeweler. He has been designing and repairing all types of jewelry for his entire life. Peter is Certified Jeweler with many credits to his name. Together, they make the most incredible "Team Brothers" in the most amazing town in the US. I can't think of a better and more memorable place to purchase a quality piece with memories that will last forever. Especially, if your in need of a Wedding Ring, why would you NOT go to Carmel and meet with Peter and Alex? You will get the best overall experience and a fair price with a lifetime of cleaning and service on your Wedding Ring. Plus, you get to tell everyone you got your ring in Carmel. How Romantic :-)

I think these guys ripped me off, selling me an Ethiopian opal ring that I later learned was…read moreextremely sensitive to water/oils and is essentially worthless aside from the gold it's set in for a cool $3000. I made the mistake of not knowing anything about opals before buying my ring on a whim during a wedding anniversary trip. I made several attempts to contact the business for a copy of the GIA report that I can't seem to find (perhaps they never gave it to me, perhaps I misplaced it). GIA reports don't list origin of the gem so I'm not sure it would be very helpful anyway. The first time I called and asked for a copy of the report, told me they'd get it to me in two weeks, but never called me back. I then tried to contact them via their website contact form and they never replied. Since then when I call, no one picks up. I would like to give these guys a chance to make things right and at least provide me with the information they promised me. They have my phone number. Maybe they will see this and reach out? I don't hate my ring, I just hate that they initially fleeced me and are now avoiding me. Yes, it's a jewelry store in an overpriced tourist town but still I expect transparency regarding my purchase. Buyer beware.

Ruined an antique 1920s ring. Claims to be a master jeweler with 40 years of experience absolutely…read morehorrible experience. Lost the ring for several hours too!! We got engaged in Monterey and my fiancée and I decided to get her new antique ring sized to fit her (it was too big) we were referred to Steve Saunders. We went in there and he told us no problem! It'll be $75 he then sized her finger. She told him she was a 5 she showed him she was currently wearing a size 5 but he was adamant she was a 4.... So trusting his "40 years" we went with his Recommendation. An hour later he calls us and tells us it's ready so we head back and when we get there it reeks of pot and incense... and he says he misplaced the ring.... He asked us to leave for 5 minutes and come back so he could find it.... So we did and came back and he said he would look more and call us tomorrow... umm no how about you stay open till you find our ring??? Later that evening he calls us he found it so we rush back... the ring DOESNT COME CLOSE TO FITTING... what's worse is he tries jamming it on her finger bruising her finger... he then says well you measured a size 4 so you are a 4... even though it clearly didn't fit.... He then tried hammering it out and making it bigger that didn't work... again he said come back tomorrow.... So tomorrow comes and we message him and tells us him it needs to be a size 5 he tells us the only way to do that is to replace the band... goodbye 1920s gold.... So what choice do we have.... We go back that afternoon and he gives us the ring and it looks awful... the band is dented and uneven on both sides... the width is so off it's not funny and the gold doesn't match.... Then he has the audacity to try and charge us $450 for his mistakes. We ended up paying $150 when we shouldn't have paid a penny and we left. Now we have to go a real jeweler and have his work fixed / replaced he should pay for it but of course that won't happen. The absolute worst part of all is this antique ring is forever ruined
