Her congeniality is genuine---certainly a delightful woman. First made contact with her in August '25. She noted my desired Rolex watch reference #s and true to her personal touch, about 6 months later she contacted me about the availability of a piece among my preferences--unfortunately I purchased a similar piece a few months before her email, so I passed. Still eager to work with her due to her pleasantness, I contacted her last week to update my preferences--pointing out a particular configuration that became a "Grail" piece for me. She gently reminded me of the high demand for it, of her prodigious client list, and made no promises to secure and offer it. THEN came her email of this Sunday (I don't check on weekends) and a follow-up email Monday morning---the Grail piece of the exact configuration I'd been hunting "came across [her] desk," and she reached out to me and stated that she'd reserve it for me! I was at her boutique within 2 1/2 hours, traveling from the Bay Area. Got to meet her and give her a big hug as she greeted me at the entrance, which was as much a treasure as the watch I was able to finally purchase. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a retail store, period. After I walked in and looked around the Rolex section for a couple of minutes, a staff member (either a manager or a sales associate) came up to greet me. I told her I was interested in purchasing a watch in the future but was just looking around for now. During our brief conversation, she tried to steer me toward their cheaper watch section three separate times. While Tudor watches aren't cheap, there is a massive price difference between them and a Rolex. It was clear but he conversation that she felt I didn't belong there, or assumed I couldn't afford a Rolex. There were other reason I felt this way. Despite that, I decided to take a look at their pre-owned section because she continuously insisted I go there instead. I met a sale representative there and told him what I was looking for. He told me they didn't have it in stock, but then showed me the most expensive and second-most expensive variants of that model. He claimed the watch I wanted fell right between those two price points. This was a blatant lie. The watch that I was looking for isn't worth half of what he quoted me and I told him exactly how much that watch is worth. It felt like he was either trying to rip me off or simply trying to get me to leave. The entire time I have never felt more unwelcome. This was the single worst experience I've ever had at any watch dealer, and maybe the worst retail experience of my life. read more

I went in just before Christmas to have a look at some watches. It often can feel intimidating walking into this sort of business if you don't already have a relationship with them. I was greeted by Beth and she quickly did away with the intimidation and made me to feel at home. Beth asked what might interest me and offered me a refreshment. Beth proceeded to show me some pre-owned Rolex watches and explained the Rolex Certification program. I was impressed with her explanation and their excellent selection certified watches. I liked the fact that she wasn't pushing me to do anything and it felt that relationships were important to her. We ran out of time since the store was closing. She was not rushed to see me leave and allowed me a last look. Fast forward to yesterday. I've been browsing on their website and had my eyes on a Submariner reference 5513/0. This particular one had a 1975 year of manufacture which happens to be the same year I came off the assembly line, yesterday was also my birthday. So I sent Beth a text and asked if she was working and if she was available for a visit? Beth replied with "come on in"! I didn't tell her it was my birthday yet she made me feel welcome nonetheless. I said that I had been eyeing this particular watch, she had me sit down, showed me the watch. She went over some of the benefits of the Certified Program and offered to let me wear the watch. It was quite special and so was Beth's hospitality. I said I wanted to purchase the watch and asked how they would like to be paid. Beth made the purchase simple, and pleasant. A nice man came over, congratulated me and sized the watch while I waited; and when Beth learned it was birthday, that is when the champagne started popping and the rest is history! I visited Fourtane in May of 2024. I was visiting from Los Angeles to see family. When I came in the staff was extremely welcoming despite knowing they did not have any stock of watches I was looking for. They encouraged me to try on watches and still fill out an interest card, which I did. Now, here we are, one year and five months later, they called me and said they had my watch, an Explorer 40mm. I was floored, that almost a year and a half later and not visiting again, the called me. Not only was I extremely happy about the watch, but it's so nice to know that there are Rolex ADs out there that are still honest and care about customer service.
