I bought a used motorcycle from this shop recently. Got it home and found some minor issues (to be expected when buying used) went back to get mirrors for the bike and mentioned in passing the items. The owner said well if that's the case we need to look at it. I brought it by and they are taking care of the problems. They were professional and friendly. I have dealt with them in the past, but never on a large purchase. They are always friendly and courteous. I have always seen them treat people with the respect that they receive. So I would say that if you were not treated with decency and respect maybe you should check your attitude at the door. I would happily deal with them in the future and refer my friends. read more

NEVER AGAIN! I'll make this brief. The black lady is a bit direct and rude, which was my first impression. Took my 2005 ATV in for a carb clean and brake repair, with a brand new battery. First issue - they never told me my unit would be shipped to a different location with a single tech. So it would take him 2 weeks before he even looked at it. Nearly a month later, I refused the estimate and it took another week before they were able to pick my unit up and bring it back for me to retrieve. They destroyed my brand new battery making my machine in worse condition than they received it - AND I'm out of a $150 diagnostic fee for nearly $800 worth of work I refused. This didn't even include the brake repair, I requested. Fortunately, with the new battery it's still under warranty, but as far as the business model and suss nature of this company - never again. My husband goes in to pick it up and its about the same with tax included then the one with fake contacts comes out and wants to change the price to 248. If you're expecting a black owned business that respects their people, keep looking. If you're expecting a motorcycle shop that isn't a dime a dozen, haha, keep looking. This shop has some pretty high praise from looking at the reviews, but please hear my story before you give this location(and the Jonesboro location) your property or business. So first off, my motorcycle was originally at the other location in Jonesboro, because that was within my tow limit. My motorcycle had some pretty concerning issues that I addressed with Tracy there over the phone, and she had priced me an estimate on what it could be. So, I agreed to get it over, paid the upfront diagnostic price in person, and waited about a week and a half to hear from someone. I called in, and Tracy told me someone else would be over my motorcycle, whom was Kimberly, and she would give me a call. Well, when she finally called, you can almost immediately hear the irritation and unprofessionalism coming from her. She was jumping to conclusions on what my bike needed, and was talking about ordering those parts before someone even looked at. It wasn't until I went to Jonesboro after this call that I realized my bike had been moved because the mechanic there didn't want to work on it. I was never told about this, or asked if I wanted to do this. So I call back Kimberly, and she explains to me that I have to wait another week to have someone even decide they want to work on it. She also couldn't even tell me when my bike was brought over. She was also refusing to hear any of my complaints about all of this, and just kept shrugging it off and telling me to wait. I waited a week, then I decided to go in person to get an update. Finally met Kimberly, Tim(owner), and his wife(sidekick owner). Someone had looked at the bike, but of course, she said was going to tell me at the end of the day. Tried to once again voice my complaints, and she once again wasn't trying to hear it. Tim overheard me, and told me he was going to start charging by the hour to complain to her. He finally stepped in and listened, and walked me back to the bike to look at it. He explained they could work on it, but it would be way more than what I agreed to. So, because it was an older bike, he tried to sell me another old bike, but it ran. I just had to trade in mine, and he would work something out. Well, he wanted an answer that day, which by the way, no dealer should EVER try to pressure you to do that. He was visibly frustrated by that, and then went on that typical 'entrepreneur' rant. It went like "I'm trying to run a business", "I'm rich, I don't NEED the money", " Why would you waste my time", blah blah blah, you get the gist. So, after suffering through that, when I realized he had nothing else to say, and FINALLY gave me his business card, I left. I come back the next day to hear from someone again. Tim wasn't there, but the other two were. So I spoke to the wife to get a better understanding of what they did, and she got DEFENSIVE. This is already getting pretty long, so to sum up this, she explained there is no other shop that does what they do(cliché), and that they did me a favor for doing two inspections for the price of one(another cliché). So I just told her to bring it back to Jonesboro, and she told me it would be done next week. That was agreed upon on May 11th, so I called on the 16th. Kimberly put me on a brief hold, and then told me it would be Friday. I called Friday, and she then put me on an over 7 minute hold. She told me it would be tomorrow afternoon, and then immediately hanged up. I called for the next few days, and it went straight to voicemail. On the other hand, the Jonesboro location was ringing, even though they were closed. So, I think they blocked my number. Called in today at he Jonesboro location, and they said they had it. The Conyers location now rings, and I finally got my bike back. I was this close to calling the police to put pressure. No matter the reason, this shop had no right to hold my property, and not give me a time. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. I dealt with this company a few years back to fix my bikes. Had a good experience at the time and decided to come back. There must have been a change in management since the last time as the service was absolutely horrible! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! They are the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with! My bikes were picked up nearly 3 months ago to be "fixed"...after several phone calls to THEM (never them to me) asking for the status of my bikes, I was told that both of my bikes needed motors. Mind you the motor on one of the bikes had just been replaced a year ago and the other was purchased brand new and was not driven more than a handful of times. Oh and garage kept at that! After much back and forth they finally agreed to bring my bikes back since I totally disagreed with their analysis and was getting the run around. They showed up to my house unannounced and dropped my bikes off at the top of my driveway without my consent LEAVING THEM THERE FOR ANYONE TO STEAL. My bikes were brought back missing parts and now have extensive corrosion. As I stated before, my bikes were garage-kept so they were never in the elements prior to coming here. If you are looking for a trustworthy, professional, knowledgeable mechanic - THIS IS NOT IT! They are only out for a money grab and have no idea what they are doing or how to properly fix on anything. Everything will end up needing the most extensive work dealing with them! I would give a zero if I could. I took my motorcycle to this place only because it was close to where I live. (BIG MISTAKE) They were not honest and forthright in their assessment of what was wrong with my bike. they claimed that my carburetor was clogged with 2 cycle oil and needed to be replaced with a new one. I requested the the old carburetor and they did give it to me when I picked up the bike. I disassembled the carburetor and carefully inspected it for any oil residue. ( I FOUND NONE WHATSOEVER) which means that they lied to me and over charged me for unnecessary parts and labor. They also charged me for things that I explicitly told then not to do!! Like charging me for an oil change that I had already done and replacing the spark plug. Again I told them not to do so from the beginning. These people are crooks and scammers and you would be much better off driving 100 miles to find a decent, honest shop instead of being robbed by these crooks. I am going to file a BBB complaint next. I bought a go-cart for my grandson for Christmas and upon delivery, it would not start. I should have sent it back then but I tried to allow the man who delivered it to get it started (21 minutes later). On Christmas morning, it took us over an hour to get it started. Once started, it seemed to be running fine until the next day. Once again, the go-cart did not start and when I called about it not working, Rock City required me pay $75 to have them pick it up for them to repair it. I was told by the owner that if it did not work the second time, I could trade it for another one or trade it for a 4-wheeler. Well - it wasn't working when I got it back. When I attempted trade it, I was told that I could not because it was working when they sent it back to me. I explained that when it was brought back to me, it stalled and would not crank. The deliver man witnessed it and was standing there when I called them. We (the man who delivered it and I) made several attempts to start it and after 20-30 minutes, it finally started, we tried driving it to make sure that it would stay on and it still turned off. Finally, we got it running and after about an hour later, it shut off and we had to push it back to the house. It never worked afterwards. And this was supposedly a brand new go-cart. The disappointment is that we hadn't had the go-cart a week and there was not an ounce of compensation nor compassion. $1800 wasted, lesson learned. read more

Beware these people are liars, they don't do good work, they will try and get has much money out of you as they can. Very unprofessional. I took three Atv up there only one is running. The owner is in on it. I was told they were ready for pickup only one had a battery which was dead the other battery hadn't being delivered by Ups. My husband waited 3hour. I came home with no battery. I received them on Tuesday I paid 290 00 for labor and battery husband put them in. Line wasn'repaired. Paid 300.00 for diagnostic was told would be applied that didn't happen. I paid 290+300+1112.00 for rebuilding of carburetors. Only one is running. All return with no oil. People BEWARE read more

Charged me numerous hours labor and would not tell me what they done. I could not see any repairs made except freed up front wheel. Called back to see what they had done to free it for safety reasons.Talked with Mark he said he would check and call me back. Never called back.I sure they did something to my odometer set on seven miles and it had 2995 when I brought it in. I know how many miles it had on the bike.I have previous photos of the odometer. Tried to tell me the bike only had seven miles on it after they broke the odometer.I just wanted to see what they were going to do when I called back. I feel something was dishonest from the get go. This is a great local business to invest your money in if you're looking to buy a motorcycle. They know the importance of good customer service and will diligently work to resolve any issues. I've seen a couple negative reviews, however after having encountered a minor issue (nothing mechanical this shop actually maintains the products they sell) Mr and Mrs Brown both personally corrected the issue. Keep in mind some customers simply cannot be pleased and they want unreasonable expectations to be met on their terms. I have know the guys at this shop for a long time. I recently took my 16 Ultra to Doc and told him I wanted make it look "younger" he absolutely killed it. Black Rinehart Racing full exhaust true duals, new hi flow air cleaner, tuner, 21 " wheel, and new front fender. They also added some accessories. It went from looking and sounding like nice fully dressed tour bike into hell raising, head turning, bad ass bike. I couldn't be happier with the new look and performance. Just go in and let them consult you on your needs and wants and they will blow your mind. They will bring things out of your bike that you didn't know were possible. They work with all budgets and can get very creative when it comes to stretching your dollar. read more

Recently did business with these two and it ended up horribly they dont know anything about motorcycles and they fail at producing paperwork on a timely manner as well as jack prices up after they give you a quote i would not trust them with repairing or purchasing a motorcycle from this company. Absolute worst customer service and business experience ever. Really. I can't even begin to tell you what a nightmare our experience has been with Rock City Cycles and Tim (owner) specifically. (Unable to locate the keys on the day of purchase therefore had to have them made, charged a different amount than originally agreed upon when bike was picked up, didn't provide equipment that was agreed upon at time of purchase, did not honor "30 day warranty", charged for repairs that were not necessary nor approved, Tim refused to meet to discuss this nor did he return any of the calls, states that necessary paperwork for tag wasn't filled out although we have the carbon copy of the document) Aside from these SEVERAL unprofessional and less than honest issues since purchasing the bike from here in September, we have yet to receive the tag that was paid for at the time of purchase as the business has not sent in the paperwork to the state. I recently purchased a 2000 model Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide from Rock City Cycles. The salesman/owner told me and my wife repeatedly that his business offers a 30 day warranty on every motorcycle they sell. I wouldn't have even expected a warranty on a used bike but he kept harping on it. I should have never believed that. Two weeks and 89 miles later, the clutch on the bike went out leaving me on the side of the road. I called them to report the issue, and they asked me to bring the bike back in for them to check over. Three days later I received a phone call from Rock City Cycles saying that my bike was fixed and they were covering all repair costs (nearly $800.00 worth), however I would be responsible for paying $340.00. I received no phone call prior to the repairs being made telling me that I would have to pay anything. I asked why there was a charge when the bike was supposedly under warranty. I was told that it was somehow my fault that the clutch broke. Coincidentally, a separate local repair shop had already given me a quote for $330.00 to replace the clutch. I told the person on the phone that I would like to talk with owner about this. He told me to come by there the next morning and I could speak with him. As soon as I pulled in to the parking lot the following morning, the owner left. His staff told me that he had to run some errands but was supposed to return within one hour. The hour passed and I eventually asked the staff contact him. He told me over the phone that he was on his way back and that we could discuss this in person. He then spoke with his staff and told them to reduce the charges to $238.00, and see if I would accept that. I would not. They refused to release the Motorcycle without payment and I refused to pay until I spoke directly with the owner. Two more hours passed without the owner showing up. He also would not answer any more phone calls from his staff. I felt my hands were tied and I wound up having to pay the $238.00 just to have the bike released to me. Once I rode the bike I discovered that the motorcycle didn't even shift correctly, which wasn't even an issue when I originally dropped it off. I couldn't pull the clutch lever before, but now I can't shift it in to neutral with the bike running. I've never experienced such poor customer service. If Rock City Cycles won't honor their warranty, then they shouldn't even offer one. If they are going to charge for a warranty job, or any other repair, they should at least give the courtesy of a phone call to tell you that prior to making any repairs. This is a poor way to run a business. I strongly recommend finding anyone else to deal with other than Rock City Cycles. read more
