I took my buddy scooter to twist and scoot to get my buddy scooter fixed.Tha scooter worked less than a week before it wouldn't start had to have it towed to another shop to get it fixed right. The owner needs an attitude check he is never wrong and an ass dealing with customers. I would not recommend this place to even buy a new scooter If this guy doesn't be careful he won't have a business very long. The people who work here are really helpful and super sweet. I went inside a few months ago when I was looking to buy my first scooter. I warned Lauren, the woman helping me, that I wasn't ready to purchase. She still was more than willing to answer all my questions and even gave me her business card to email her if I thought of anything else. She was again really helpful when I emailed her a few weeks later. I bought a used Genuine Buddy on her advice. And I love it! I more recently brought my scooter in because it wasn't running. I actually got there too early and the owner was there. He was really nice and willing to check it out before they opened. I filled out the paperwork and they got it working just a few hours later! Will definitely be back for all my scooter related needs as long as I'm in Atlanta. read more

I am generally in a good mood when I am thinking about my scooters, but the owner here misses the mark and does not understand the degree to which customers in this product category expect engagement and support beyond the transaction. First, every time I see the owner, he forgets that we have ever met before. I expect a bit more personal service. I purchased a fender for my buddy, and when I unwrapped it, there were several scratches on the part. I called T&S and asked them to order a new one so that I may replace the damaged part. They wanted me to drive there and "prove" that I didn't cause the scratches. And refused to order a new one until I satisfied his doubt. I resent the idea that I would try to cheat this guy out of $65. read more

Was finally able to make it in to their new shop and WOW what an upgrade! Way more space, more gear, more accessories. Stoked to have finally been able to check it out. I've been a customer of Twist n Scoot for about 5 years now (yowza...has it really been that long??) and have always found them to be super helpful and have great customer service. I bought my first ever scooter here (a used Buddy 50cc), and when it got stolen (due to my own negligence in not locking it up...learned my lesson!) I financed a new Buddy 125. They helped make the process totally seamless and I couldn't have been happier. They've always been there when I had any questions (even when they were dumb questions....like, really dumb) and have had a lot of patience with me (re: dumb questions, ha). Since my scooter has always been my only mode of transportation I have always really appreciated their honest and earnest advice/opinions. read more

Just moved to Atlanta from Asia and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my favorite Taiwan scooter in the window. Bill was fantastic helping me get my Georgia plates and registration. They have a slick setup , plenty of good scooters - but the customer service is really lacking. I took a scooter in for service and they were a little shiesty. Three different totals for the work, and after I spent a couple hundred bucks they gave me the thing back with en empty tank. Barely made it to the gas station. Be on your toes. read more

I emailed them about getting some work done on my poorly running scooter. I had an idea of what the problem was and asked for an estimate on that particular service. I got a response that said $60 + install time, but they wanted to diagnose it to be sure. Sounded reasonable so I took it in. The guy working that day (I later found out his name is Bill), told me it sounded like a clogged carb, but if it was the fuel pump, as I asked about, it should "only take his guy about a half an hour. He's done those a hundred times." At this point, I didn't even know what they charged for labor, but even if it was $100/hr, I was ok. I called three days later to find out if it was ready. He said that they had to order the fuel pump, so give it about a week. It seemed like a long time, but oh well. I called a week later to check in and was told that they had gotten the part a couple days ago but it arrived broken, so they ordered a new one. At this point I was pretty mad. I understand the part broken wasn't their fault, but not calling me when it happened was bad. This meant scrambling to figure out my commute for another week. Got a call 4 days later that the part was in and ready to go. I had them email me the invoice. It was twice what I was told it would cost. Bill wasn't there, and the girl who said she's "just the counter girl" told me to take it up with the mechanic. My problem, again, was bad communication. If anyone had called me and said there were some recommended parts (filter & valve) to change while they had it apart, and that the labor was going to be triple the estimated time I was told, I would have told them no because I wasn't okay paying $250 for the service, but they just went ahead and did it. The mechanic said it's common practice for a scooter that's dropped off to them to just do their thing without okaying the work. After a civil but not friendly discussion with the mechanic, I had him remove the part and put the old pump back in. To his credit, the mechanic kept his cool and neither of us raised his voice, though neither was happy, and he had it switched back in under a half an hour. Based on this service debacle I have a hard time recommending them to anyone. read more

Twist 'n' Scoot is a fantastic place for scooters. They sell new and used of a variety of the best scooters on the market at competitive prices. Bike service is easy and only for what you really need done. With a great location by Emory, it was a no brainer to buy one for school and skip the steep $800 annual parking fees on campus. The owner of this business has very serious problem with his customer service skills in commuactions.He is very abrupt to the point of rudeness and indiffearace when asked a simple question.I have noticed this on not just one occasion.I have noticed how he treats customers of color in a way that's inappropriate and even dismissive.The young lady that works there is very pleasant.I will never spend one dine here again and will purchase my next scooter from out of state if necessary. read more

"Caveat Venditor". Most people are pretty familiar with caveat emptor or let the buyer beware. My comment for Twist and Scoot consists of caveat venditor, let the seller beware. A few months ago having grown a little older, less strong, and in a bit of a precarious health situation, I realized my 2001 Vespa scooter needed a younger, stronger rider. I found a service to tow it into Twist and Scoot and went by to talk to Bill, the owner. He mentioned that since it had not been ridden frequently it handled poorly and would need a lot of repair and fine tuning. My intention was to give it away to a friend after she paid for the necessary repairs. She and I were both discouraged from doing that, being told that an estimate of the costs could not be given until the scooter was pretty much taken apart. So you can see I was not interested in getting a lot out of the scooter and I admit to a lot of naïveté when Mr. Bill said "I'll just take it off your hands for $100.00. My instincts said gather that thing up and sell it on Craig's list or EBay. But, of course, I would have to pay to have it towed somewhere. I knew that more than likely there was a buyer, but just estimating in my own mind, he might get about 1,800 and I needed it out of my garage and off my insurance. Little did I know that he would sell it for more than I had paid for it 7 years ago, or about 24 times what he paid me, and in less than 3 weeks time! Really wanting to let Bill know how I felt about the situation , I decided to just go in and have a bit of a heart to heart. I waited until another customer left not wanting to make the situation any more negative than it was. Immediately, he was defensive saying how much labor had gone into restoring the bike and how disappointed he was that I would confront him about the situation. How dare I try to vacillate on a deal we had made! Now that I've read some other comments, I see that I have not been the only one chastised for expressing disappointment in service. I also realize that from his demeanor he would never admit that he had "taken" this little old lady. Had he made the slightest effort to accommodate or just to admit that he made quite a lot on one deal I would have been fine, had he just made an attempt to look me in the eye, I would not have made a positive post, I would have just skipped it all together. Instead, I am simply saying, do not be a seller in this establishment. If you trade in an old scooter for a new one, perhaps you should try several sources first and know the worth of what you have.
