Well, when the rains came we discovered water running to our sump from a spot in the wall. When I pulled back the insulation covering I discovered a 1/4" crack from top to bottom and the water was leaking in at a steady rate. I searched for a company that was close and had good reviews. Called and left message with another company but never received a return call until 2 weeks later. I also called Basement Cracks & Leaks and received a call back to schedule an inspection within 3 days. They actually called back in a few hours and moved up our appt. After seeing the crack and inspecting the outside of the house they provided an estimate to permanently seal the crack. We scheduled the repair. The person was very knowledgeable about concrete cracks and informed us it was not something more serious that would require major repair. He explained how he would repair the crack, what materials he would use, and left us an estimate sheet with the warranty information. It has been a few weeks since the repair and we have had snow melt and rain but our basement is dry. There is NO water leaking in now. This is a great company. They are responsive and prompt. If we have another problem with leaking water I will definitely call them.

I sent the money within 10 days after the closing. They refused to transfer the warranty. It's like they want to avoid transferring the warranty. If they are sure of their work, they wouldn't do that. Most companies transfer their warranties for free. I would never use such company.

It caused way more problems then intended, and instead of the original planned 3 hours, they spent 8 to make sure everything got done to satisfaction without charging any extra for my driveway taking 3x longer than expected. We expected to have to replace much/all of the driveway, but when Art came out he said he could make it level like a new driveway, and his team did. They were very courteous, and even apologized for staying until 10pm! If I ever have any more mudjacking or concrete repair needs, I will definitely be calling Ace Mudjacking.

DAMAGED SIDING and INSULATION: FSM cut a hole in my siding, leaving the insulation exposed for months (not resolved); DAMAGED FLOORING: FSM staff cut a large unnecessary hole in my floor (not resolved); FSM staff helped himself to what he wanted out of my yard, then entered my garage without permission, despite being banned from the property himself. POLICE and Ordinance had to be called. NOT SAFE to hire them. POOR quality: Seams not taped. Cuts in the liner. Grading NOT completed, leaving the entire project needing to be redone (not resolved); You end up doing the work: I had to dig my own crawl with their staff for 4 hours! REPEATED SAFETY RISK: FSM staff became aggressive on site and demanded more money from me. Spray foam, dirt, tools, and trash left behind on the liner. DUMP PILE left on the property. POOR COMMUNICATION: FSM either does not respond, or it takes weeks of nagging them. Even in severe instances of personal harm, they will leave you hanging. There is no difference in email, salesman, supervisor, foreman, text, calls, office- they are all the same and do NOT communicate with you or one another. BUYER BEWARE! DON'T do it! You pay a fortune to have this company destroy your property and cause you serious harm.

About seven years or so we had Ayer come out and remove the old broken clay weeping tile in our…read morebasement and install a new system complete with sump system. They did a nice job no more water in the basement. Hated the little in ground sump discharge tank in the yard...always standing water. We ultimately had a local contractor reroute the sump discharge to the city storm sewer system $$$. It resolved the problem. Ayers at the same time also installed new basement windows (wrong type) but never finished the installation until months later after a lot of calling...in the interim we patched them as best we could, but our basement became a haven for spiders and other insects. The next year at our annual Ayers sump inspection, Zach (Zachart Stout) pointed out the failing of our 80-year-old north basement wall, of which we were already aware of. So, by 2026 after annual inspections by Zach, the wall situation had worsened to the point of needing repair (or take your chances). An Ayers crew came out and installed a series of GeoLock wall anchors to stabilize the wall. Their work was timely, very efficient and left no mess. We probably would have rated Ayers with a 5 if it hadn't been such a poor previous experience with the windows. Thanks, Zach, for your help and advice over the years.

Why would a customer pay for a job that is not done. 2nd visit they had the very same trouble with injection gun, and then spilled brake fluid on my newly sealed driveway. Apparently brake fluid is used to clean the gun. 3rd visit they finally had equipment that actually worked. But I would not let them apply the seam sealant because it was gray and did not match my colored stamped patio, in which the sales representative said they would at least try to match the best they could. Gray was not even close. 4th visit they applied the sealant and added the colored sand to surface to match the patio. On the final visit they only offered $100 discount for my stained driveway. I reluctantly agreed just to get them out of my yard. They should of offered more because of the four visits to do a small job and the permanent stain on my driveway. My father was asking if Ayers should level his sidewalk, my response; Heck no, find someone else. I do not recommend this company at all. See photos of permanent stain that they didn't even try to remove, they left it for me to clean the best I could.

In May of this year I had to have more work done that I wasn't aware of because the leaks only occurred during really heavy rains. This time Dean came out and did a great job. 22 tie rod leaks and 2 cracks were repaired. Dean also gave me recommendations on companies to call for the remaining leak that Dean's company can't handle.
