I recently had my yearly retina scan done at the Fort Mill office. Dr. Perry (as usual) was outstanding!! She's not just a great medical expert, she a wonderful person. As a patient she not only treats YOU, she CARES for YOU as a (human being) person. The staff is fulll of All-Stars as well. Kristie (front desk) and Kayla (technician) were very helpful, professional and polite. They both had remarkable communication skills and super sense of humor. They make going for an eye exam enjoyable and entertaining. On a scale of 1-10 they're an (11.5) eleven and a half at least!! read more

This is the first review of a medical facility I have ever posted. I will never return to this practice. The staff was busy, as many medical practices are, but I was never greeted or asked what brought me in, what concerns I was having. The technician never made eye contact (which is ironic, given she does eye exams), or showed any interest in learning why I was there. The doctor was in a hurry and spent maybe five minutes with me, and was so impersonal I feel certain if I passed him in the grocery store he'd have no memory of ever seeing me before. But worst of all, he left out a key measurement on my prescription, and it took multiple phone calls from myself and my optician to get a corrected one. My phone calls and the optician's calls were never returned. Eventually, after a week, I had to return to the office and ask for a correct one, only to be confronted with the most surly employee I have ever dealt with, who very begrudgingly printed out the corrected prescription. read more

I cannot discuss your business practices with you because no one answers the phone during business hours. I work at a medical clinic too so my time would also be better used for patient care, but you all do not respect my time. Putting a fax number on a website is a simple fix but you all don't seem open to feedback like you said because you skipped right over that solution. "After being a self pay patient for 25 years, we were denied our visit today, after giving them $180 in advance for the routine visit, because we would not leave a credit/debit card on file. I said there was no balance so you don't need anything on file. When they said they still required it, I said then this will be our last visit. They said, there won't be a visit without the card on file, and she handed back my $180. I asked for something in writing saying I would not be charged a no show fee of $40, since they refused to see us, the Office Manager said no, that her telling me there would be no fee was all I needed. She then asked me to leave, that we were banned from the practice. Dr Laughlin, the physician who started Rock Hill family practice, is turning over in his grave." read more

Refused to use the frames I had and loved. Said they'd only warrant their work if I bought frames from them. Got my prescription way wrong (their error was independently verified by another doctor), then discussed my finances with a third party lab!!! I filed a BBB complaint against them and they STILL refuse to acknowledge their error and refund me the $$ they got paid for my visit and for the exam where I had to go to a different doctor (the total expense to them would have been less than $150) . If you value professional services and your privacy- avoid them at all costs. Uncaring, unprofessional and unethical. read more

Great optometrists Miss Girardeau is great! Really caring. This is the only reason they got three stars instead of 1 The surgery scheduler is to uncaring and I was glad when I could cancel and go to Mecklenburg Eye Associates. Rock Hill Eye put me off 3 months on a cataract that i could hardly see out of and had to rely on the other eye. I contacted Mecklenburg Eye , made an appt. with Dr. Kurivilla, who has a 4.7 star rating, for almost 2 months before Rock Hill Eye Center. He did both eyes 3 weeks before Rock Hill Eye could do one. I think they must do very few since it only takes 10-15 minutes to do an eye and there aren't that many people in Rock Hill or some other reason why it's sooooooo far in advance. Dr. K was awesome! He answers all your ?'s and is very caring about your needs. The staff was great to and they even have a Rock Hill office. I am glad I made the right decision. read more
