I Really Like Dr. Peterson. He is very calm and I guess when I have to get Cataract surgery I would feel more comfortable with him doing that than anyone I have ever been to. However I despise the eyewear staff, the lady there who is in charge ( so to speak) is an extremely nasty and r and I will never buy my glasses there again read more

Dr. Lee, the technician, and receptionist were all such gems! They made my experience super easy. Everything was a breeze until it came to picking out glasses. They didn't have any frames that I liked personally so I asked if I could get my prescription to go. The Optician was very rude and claimed they didn't get commission from the sale of glasses which was out of the blue and not really a concern of mine. Got many snarky comments from her when I returned with frames for them to fill. Sad that one person could change the entire experience for me. read more

I was a patient with another ophthalmologist in Rock Hill. As an older person, I developed a condition where some of my eyelashes grow under my eyelid making me feel like I had something in my eye because I DID!! I went to my former doc many times over many years for this condition. I would go in, they would remove several eyelashes and, invariably, I would have to return several more times within the next few days for them to remove a few more. This became frustrating. I started having symptoms again recently. I went to my former doc, who seems to always be in a hurry, and he removed two (2) eyelashes and sent me on my way. After I got home, I still felt like I had the problem!! I had had it! I made an appointment with Mecklenburg Eye. They did not disappoint. Reception was great, the technician was very kind and patient with this older guy. She did a very thorough initial exam. The doc, Doctor Lee, was exceptional! She is young, like everyone it seems, and thorough. To my surprise, she found and removed ten (10) eyelashes. This was only one day after the other doc removed two!! She also referred me to a surgeon who specializes in repairing this crazy condition. I never heard a word about being able to repair this condition from the other doc not to mention never a word about a referral. Dr. Lee also talked to me about several other conditions that might be in my future. What a great doc and what a great place. Needless to say, I'm a fan and, even better, a patient with this practice now. I highly recommend this practice. read more

My family and I had the most thorough exam and this was my daughters first visit to the Optometrist. I am very particular and they did an outstanding job. Excellent customer service and professional staff. I took away a star because unfortunately their frame selection is lacking if you're looking for designer frames. read more

Scheduled an annual eye exam for my son with their opthalmologist as covered under his insurance and prior to, I had called around to make sure someone could see him due to his eye condition (lazy eye). I got turned away from one but Mecklenburg Eye Assoc said their opthalmologist could see him. I took my son to his appt and once we got to the opthalmologist, she said she was not educated in this condition to help and referred us to another eye doctor. Got a bill for a full charge for an appt that they couldn't even do and now we have to pay out of pocket to another eye doctor. Their answer was that the doctor provided some kind of service so it wouldn't be free and at least we didn't have to pay their bill. No, we just have to pay another bill by another eye doctor that could have been covered by his insurance had they been informative enough not to schedule the appt in the first place when I asked if they could see him. And, if you provide a half ass job then you should probably just charge a half ass price. read more
