The owner says he can look for anything you might be needing but unless he has a forklift or crane, there's absolutely no way that's going to happen. The owner explained that this was a temporary situation, due to warehousing issues, but I've visited there twice in the last two and a half years and nothing has changed. If you can tolerate shopping in a place straight out of hoarders with only maybe 10% of its inventory accessible to customers, have at it. Me? Never again.

I'd just been offered $120 by a local pawn shop and asked if Sound Exchange could do better. The clerk dismissed me immediately, stating, "We typically offer 50 cents to a dollar per Blu-ray," and refused to even glance at the organized digital catalog I offered to share (via CLZ) to save her time. Instead, she insisted I bring in the entire collection, clearly uninterested in helping or making an informed offer. Her attitude felt unwelcoming and uninterested -- like my time and business weren't worth the effort. Ironically, as I left, I saw one of my exact steelbook editions on their shelf priced at $89.99. They offer you pennies, then turn around and mark up massively. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the most dismissive and disappointing retail interactions I've had. It felt like they just didn't want my business. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Sound Exchange to anyone.

There's just about every type of physical media on offer from vinyls to vhs and of course books for everyone. I love that we're giving old books new life and also saving money while the kids get to read more! It's a win-win-win. We bought an entire basket of books for around $10 and I don't feel too bad when my 2 year old accidentally rips a book at home anymore. I really love what they're doing here and hope they continue doing well. I'd love to see them start a little coffee shop inside one day as I think that would really amp up sales and enjoyment.

The website and reviews recommended calling ahead to see if the owner, Patrick, was accepting inventory. I wasn't exactly sure where the store was; so while out, I wanted to drive by and check the store location out. We ended up being there an hour before they opened and saw someone in the store. We were quickly greeted by the owner and he opened the store early for us! It's almost overwhelming the amount of inventory he has available. I didn't bring my stuff to sell, but explained the amount and quality and he suggested to bring it in for him to evaluate. I can't say enough about how sweet Patrick was. So helpful and informative and I quickly caught on to his Irish brogue and we dove into a long conversation about Ireland - where I feel like I should hire him to be my guide next time I visit We ended up buying 2 books and he informed us about a charity type bookstore in St. Pete where we could find books very cheap and gave us coupons for them. While I haven't returned yet to bring my items in (which I don't think will sell given his high standards and quality of his items-while mine are used and abused lol) , I do look forward to going back again. If nothing else, just to interact with Patrick. Both my partner and I found him to be so great! If you read this Patrick, Jason and I will definitely adopt you as family
