Nevada Dental Associates is the bane of my existence!…read more I started going there because it was the only dental office my former employer covered. And while with my former employer I got braces. So even after I was no longer employed at my former job, I had no choice but to continue going to Nevada Dental. In fact, I still have no choice because they will see me for a retainer check and tighten as needed, at no further cost to me because it is included with my braces. HOWEVER, this company is run very much like a factory. Don't worry about falling in love with your dentist, because you'll never see the same one twice, or the same orthodontist for that matter. They come and go regularly. The real brains of the operation and the ones who will take good care of you are the technicians. I love each one of them, and they work so hard to make up for the lack of overall customer service and patient care. The policies that the management are forced to adhere to are atrocious. This truly is one of those companies where they are trying to make a fast buck rather than offer good dental care. I actually had to give the manager a verbal smack down because she thought it was okay to charge me for a dental cleaning that I didn't have. And when I (stupidly) signed up for their own dental plan ($75 per year) and received a schedule of fees, those fees miraculously changed upon my following visit. Is that even legal? How can the price of service be one thing when I join the plan, but then change later, without notification or anything? The manager's excuse as to why I was duped? "I haven't been given the new schedule of fees yet." I see she's not to blame for the fraudulent practices of the corporation that owns and runs Nevada Dental, but I wonder how she can sleep at night.... At any rate, go anywhere else but Nevada Dental (unless you're stuck there because of your employer). The techs that tend to patients are awesome, but even their own wonderful capabilities cannot make up for horrible customer service and dentists and orthodontists who come and go through the ever revolving door.

The excuse is always the same, they blame the insurance company. The last straw came when they sent us a bill for $189.00 with no description or date of visit to explain the debt. we called the office and told them we would pay if they provided a description of the charges and when the occurred, they sent us to collections. After untold phone calls and emails their internal billing department "discovered" that my wife and I have a credit on our accounts. I have to say in all fairness the technicians that work in the office are great, I hope they move to a different practice. The actual dentists change to often and you are unable to build a relationship with any of them. The billing department and office staff are useless and rude. Do yourself a favor, and find a different practice not even worth one star.

Just because there is a lack of women's ob/gyn you are much better off with any man with working hands. Here's my traumatic visit: During my gynecological exam, I felt extremely uncomfortable with the manner in which the Pap smear and pelvic exam were conducted. The doctor made comments and used language that were highly unprofessional, crude, and inappropriate for a medical setting -- language that would be more fitting in a brothel than in a doctor's office. I will not repeat the specific remarks here out of discomfort, but they were offensive and unacceptable during such a vulnerable and sensitive procedure. Additionally, the receptionist or office manager displayed behavior that was loud, rude, and wholly unprofessional. Rather than creating a calm, supportive environment, she was confrontational, uninformed about procedures, and dismissive in a way that added unnecessary stress to an already uncomfortable visit. Her attitude and tone were completely out of line for someone in a front-facing role responsible for patient care and communication. It's taken me many years to be able to speak this out loud, but I feel that people should know how awful this place is do not go. Just don't.

They have 2 offices on the same floor in the same building (both with signs that say "Wellish Abrams") and after checking in at the front desk we sat for an half hour but ten minutes past our appointment time someone called over from the other office and said I was in the wrong place and they had been searching all over for me assuming maybe I was stuck in the bathroom. It was quite a long time and lextensive process before we saw Dr Shah for about 3-5 minutes and he said I have a Vitreous Hemorrhage, it is very serious, and I need to see someone right away. I was referred to a retina specialist that was closed so I was told to call Desert Retina first thing the next day. The Wellish Abrams workers never faxed the referral with notes to Desert Retina so the operator at Desert Retina asked me to call Wellish Abrams and request they send the referral and notes. Wellish Abrams does not answer their phones, they employ an answering service which says they will try to get the request to Wellish Abrams within 24 hours. After 24 hours you must trust that the people who did not send the referral the first time will do it the next day. I do not understand why the process has to be such a circus, if you have an eye emergency why can't you go to one place and get all your medical needs accomplished? Southern Hills sent me to Wellish, which took 2 days, Wellish sent me to Desert Retina and didn't forward the referral and notes and meanwhile my eyeball is hemorrhaging. 3 doctors along the way stressed to me that my situation is an emergency and could result in blindness if not handled expeditiously.

The manager Laura is non existent and the scheduler Dahlia and is a robotic idiot. My follow-up appointment with Dr. Abrams was canceled. The idiot on the phone clearly had no clue what she was doing because she continued to place me on hold to ask someone else my questions due to not having the answers. She then told me to reach out to my insurance and ask them my questions, which I did. My insurance then confirmed they have paid Wellish just 2 weeks ago and have continued to do so. Wellish office staff have no idea what they are doing and DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENTS BELONGING TO THE CLINIC.

It has been a long while since seeing a dentist and I must say it is never something I look forward…read moreto. I haven't had the best experiences in the past, and my teeth are not in the best shape. My husband has been going to Premier Dental for a while now and suggested I give them a try since I recently got new insurance coverage. I went in a couple of weeks ago for my initial appointment. I was greeted by Asia and Jessi at the front desk and they were both nice and friendly. Special thanks to Jessi who helped me with the cost breakdowns for the procedures I needed. She sent everything I requested to my email for my husband to review in a way that we could clearly understand. I initially received a photo copy that was missing a page, and she resent everything on more clear PDF's that we could review. Nina took lots of x-rays and was very pleasant and had a very positive vibe. She had Alexa playing some nice tunes that kept my mind off of my worries and anxiety about the dentist. Dr. Lamancusa was my dentist and he was very nice and upbeat. He did his exam, pointed out areas of concern, and made a plan to address everything. He put my mind at ease about my concerns and let me know that all my issues are fixable and not the end of the world. I ended up needing 2 crowns ASAP. The anesthetic when preparing for my crowns was not strong enough and I could feel the drilling initially (ouch!), but Dr. Lamancusa quickly addressed the issue and adjusted my dosage so that I was completely numb. He said he also noted my file for future reference that I require more time and more anesthetic. For some reason that stuff just does not work on me like most people. I left with temporary crowns and was told the permanent crowns would be ready in two weeks. It was rough eating on one side, and not having bread or anything hot, but I managed. The crowns ended up being available 2 days early and they called and moved my appointment up. I must say having the crowns put on those exposed, sensitive, drilled down teeth was not fun. The cold water, the cleaning of the exposed teeth, the removing and resizing the crown over and over, the ice cold cement, it all hurt. But, the pain subsided a bit after lots of Tylenol. I have never had crowns so I did not know what to expect or what was normal, but the dental assistants assured me what I was experiencing was on par for getting crowns. I was not sure about the fit of the crowns initially, so Dr. Lamancusa told me to try them out and come back in a couple of days if I felt something was off. I went back this morning and he drilled the crowns down a bit to adjust. I haven't eaten yet to know for sure about my bite, but it seems to feel much better as of now. I had a cleaning and laser treatment with the Hygienist, Angela, who I must say is the BEST! She was so gentle with her equipment, she explained everything along the way, and she just has an overall kind and warm demeanor that made me feel at ease. She made sure I was numb enough throughout the process which I really appreciated. I will not be scared to keep up with my regular cleanings going forward, as long as Angela is there! All in all, I am glad that I finally went back to the dentist. Definitely recommend.

She immediately had me get the pharmacy on the phone right there talked with them verified that they did not get the prescription and stayed on the phone until they received both electronic and a fax to show that they got my prescription finally. Background: When covid happened, we pulled our daughter, Mackenzie, out of preschool that spring and she stayed out of the school environment through the summer. She started kindergarten virtually, but unfortunately, she was one that did not build a good enough foundation to help her succeed in her schoolwork, even after they went back in person. Fall 2022: Fast forward to this school year, and we're at parent teacher conferences reviewing her MAP scores. She was essentially reading at a kindergarten level, and performing at a 1st-ish grade level in math. So, we needed to do something to help her catch up. We researched several places local centers and also considered private tutoring from teacher friends. We decided on The Tutoring Club for several reasons: 1) We liked the director, Jessica, who had the same ideology of how we learned "back when we were in school" and how their curriculum supported it. 2) We liked the flexibility to help Mackenzie with her school work, in addition to the curriculum they had her do. 3) We liked that it's a brick and mortar. We can always count on them being there, and they are also reasonable with absences - if we had to miss a day here and there because of our other extracurricular activities. Mackenzie started attending tutoring in mid-October and went for 2 hour sessions, 3 days a week. She loved it! The tutors incentivized the work so that she had a goal. They made it fun for her, and it motivated her to want to learn to read. The tutors are friendly and they made the experience enjoyable for her. Spring 2023: It's now May, and we received Mackenzie's final MAP scores of the year. Her test scores substantially grew over the entire school year, and she is now above grade level for both subjects! I would attribute her success completely to the work that the Tutoring Club has done with her, as we never changed anything in our home life. We are so grateful for the help that the Tutoring Club provided, and again, we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great tutoring center in North Las Vegas!
