Terrible experience leaving the school…read more My two boys were selected for the their scholarship program, which provided 3 months of lower tuition. After some consideration, we ultimately decided to part ways after the scholarship concluded. Everything seemed fine until it came time to collect my children's belongings. Prior to starting school, the administration asks for 5-7 full outfit sets per child, depending on the class and if your child is undergoing potty training, in addition to other items like blankets, towels, etc The first bag of belongings the school gathered for me only contained blankets. Keep in mind, I had two kids attend this school. I wasn't given any heads-up about the lack of clothing and failed to check the bag until I got home as I genuinely trusted the staff to do their due diligence and collect everything. So I called to inquire about the other clothing and it took about 3-4 follow-ups until I was finally told to come pick up the clothing. However, this second bag did not include a single t-shirt or pair of socks. I was told they would search for those items and that I would get an update the following week, but never received a call. When I would call, the faculty would pass me off to each other, each assuring me they were working on finding the remaining clothes and apologizing for not getting back to me. It was obvious they wanted me to just forget about it. They mentioned searching through the laundry room, multiple classrooms, and other rooms. How all those t shirts and socks just disappear is beyond me. Not to mention, my son's favorite Bluey towel and a very nice North Face jacket. After waiting another week, I emailed the director, Lily Hernandez, to express my frustration over the situation. She's always been quick to email back so I was sure she'd offer a resolution. Wrong! She completely ignored me - not a peep. I waited and sent another email but still received nothing. I called and asked for her a few times but was always told she wasn't there. That being said, I've never experienced this level of unprofessionalism, particularly from the director of an educational institution. It was clear she couldn't care less about losing my kids' clothing now that I'm not paying the school. I'm still shocked by the lack of accountability, and this unfortunately highlights the sad state of today's educational climate, where any random, unqualified person can apparently wiggle their way up the administrative ladder without any genuine values or integrity, and end up running a school. Even if it's just a pre-school, we deserve better.

**Came for safety, stayed through a rough transition, and we're glad we did**…read more We enrolled our son at Kids First when he was 4, back under the previous owners. He had come from another daycare about 2 miles south on Nellis, where he was bitten and picked on by other kids and then punished for defending himself. We walked in worried the same thing would happen here. It never did, under either ownership, and we are eternally grateful for that. Under the old owners, the place ran on hard work more than investment. The staff clearly cared about the kids, but the building needed repairs and maintenance problems were visible on a regular basis. When new ownership took over, things changed fast, and not for the better at first. The new owner wasn't present early in the transition, and the person brought in from other locations to run the changeover was unhelpful, dismissive, and brutish. Parents raised real concerns and were met with rudeness. Meanwhile every repair or upgrade seemed to uncover a bigger problem underneath: sewage smells, broken equipment and furniture, worn carpet, peeling paint. Staff was being cut, communication broke down, and you could see it in the kids, who had lost much of the structure they were used to. Prices went up, extra charges started popping up... discord and chaos crept in. We came close to leaving. We stayed at the urging of the person who ended up taking over. When the transition manager left and she stepped in, the difference was immediate. You can talk to her when you walk in (the previous manager was known for being hard to find). She is involved in every part of the operation, she has brought the level of care back to where it was and beyond, and she has been working through the long list of facility improvements. A lot needed doing, and a lot needs done... But it's getting done. One example says a lot about her: Our son didn't want to go in one morning. She came out to our van, sat with him, talked with him, walked in with him while holding his hand, and then spent extra time with him that day so he felt included and loved. What a lot of people understandably don't know is that if the major changes underway didn't happen, including pricing (sorry all, things are more expensive now), there wouldn't be some other owner to save the place, it would have simply closed and become another cash advance dispensary etc. Thankfully the place is turning around and giving kids a great experience again. Love the kids first, and everything else follows. We can now say with confidence that the whole staff and leadership team operate that way.

I use to feel so different about this place as you'll see in my review years back!! I've enrolled my 4 month old son here. In the mornings when I dropped him off I would give the teacher updates. Well when I would pick up from the evening teacher she didn't know any of the updates I provided. When I told the morning teacher if you can up his milk intake the evening teacher had no idea. Lacking communication in a daycare is beyond me. That should be key! Also there were times where the primary teacher was absent and other teachers filled in and my son's items weren't taken to the class he was in and I was messages he had no more diapers. I mentioned this to the primary teacher the next day because when items are running low a heads up should be provided and she stated I did have diapers. That's to point that this place isn't organized. How do you not know where to look for items . I didn't put too much into these things even though they shouldn't be happening UNTIL.. one day I brought my son home. While changing his diaper I saw a cut on his leg I messaged the app and no one responded. I figured it's late maybe tomorrow. All next day went by and no response. So I called at 4pm asking what happened. Evitta didn't know which I can understand if the teacher didn't communicate but was quick to say I sign in into tablets but I don't respond it's the teachers. In my mind I was thinking so if there's an emergency nothing gets responded too unless assigned teacher comes back! Why isn't there INCIDENT REPORTS the day off!! And messages should be checked every morning. Minutes later I got a message from a teacher stating it was a scratch she forgot to tell me. The teacher that responded don't know how she got into the mix. But saying "I forgot!!" Unacceptable! My son doesn't walk, crawl or sit. He definitely wasn't watched if he was hurt. I'll attach a picture. I also had my 8,10 and 11 years old enrolled here. I can tell you about the time my 11 year old son was accused of something that sounded much worse than it was because Evitta the director chose the wrong word choice. I was told the next day about it and she started by saying two girls gave the same statement so it's true!! SMH!! All to uncover that her story was not accurate and my son was helping teachers because kids were being bad! My 11 year old helping. Or the time a child exposed himself in class to everyone. But the one thing that was it for me was my kids not eating breakfast. I was at the front about to pay when a parent came out to tell Ruby that the teacher told her son wouldn't be eating breakfast because it was served already. And so ruby told the parent I'll make sure he eats. I told her please my kids too. Breakfast is from 7-730 my kids arrived at 7:14. That day when we got home my kids expressed they didn't want to go back because the class is just so loud and that they didn't eat breakfast. Obviously I'm mad because I had mentioned to ruby to please issue breakfast to my kids. I'll attach the picture of 7:14 drop off and no breakfast. The next day ruby wasn't there so I expressed to Evitta and she simply said she'll talk to her and might have to switch back to morning because there's been quite a mess with her in the mornings. Also my kids are signed in and out when I'm not there for payment purposes. When I asked Evitta why? She said she don't know it gets sent off to another lady and she takes care off it. Isn't that considered FRAUD! For context I have a subsidy. I notified children's cabinet and they stated they are not suppose to do that. I'll attach the picture of signing in and out for payment. Lastly, sometimes you question certain things and they'll say the app glitches. That's always the to go reason. This place needs way more than training! I hate that I waited so long to take them out but all 4 of my kids have been unenrolled. P.S Teachers are leaving left and right and that's a huge red flag! Also on google you cannot leave reviews and on their website they don't have the option.

My biggest concern is the staffing. The turnover is noticeable, and the center often seems understaffed. Because of that, my daughter has had several different teachers, making it difficult for her to build the consistency and relationships that young children really need. The dilemma I have is, I have seen things fall through the cracks that were concerning, and I believe many of those issues stem from the staffing challenges rather than a lack of care. That said, I want to recognize Yasmine. She has been absolutely wonderful with my daughter and the other children. She is attentive, caring, and has been a positive part of our experience that she gave me confidence in keeping my daughter at this location I truly hope this location is able to retain more staff and create the consistency needed. Here's a more detailed and accurate review. My daughter cried intensely at drop-off and repeatedly said she did not want to attend this preschool. She cried so much that her nose became extremely dry from dried mucus sitting on her nose for long periods during the school day. I filled out a form for them to start applying Aquaphor on her nose. When Id come to get her, her nose was so dry and red that it started to peel. She was only 2. I assumed she'd receive assistance because many toddlers that age still need help wiping their noses.... When I picked her up, the Aquaphor container consistently appeared untouched despite my completing a form authorizing its use. She was in Ms. Becca's class during part of her enrollment. Then they switched her to a different class and I cannot remember the other teachers names. During her time there, she came home with scratches on multiple occasions that were not there before school, and staff told me they did not know how the scratches happened. I asked to see the cameras and was advised that they did not record. She also came home with a bruised eye while attending this preschool. Around this same period, she began wetting the bed, which was unusual for her, and she started saying things that were unexpected and concerning to me as a parent. After wearing a dress for picture day, she said things such as, "Let me see under your pretty little dress." Combined with her extreme distress about attending, I decided to withdraw her after about a month. Looking back, I wish I had paid more attention to the crying. I assumed it was normal because this was her first school experience and thought she would eventually get used to it. After transferring to another preschool, the daily crying stopped and she is now excited to attend school. It is still crazy to me how changing schools made such a difference. This was my family's experience and the reasons I chose to remove my daughter from the program.
