My 13 year old twins went to a birthday party at Point Dume today. The owners were FANTASTIC. Both kids had very little (2-3 times been to an indoor rock gym several years ago) experience. While my son scrambled up the rocks, my daughter only climbed a few feet before she got stuck and started to get anxious. They expertly got her down and calmed her to try again later. I think bc of their demeanor, about an hour later my daughter tried again. This time the male owner expertly got her up the rock face, while saying all of the right things to encourage her and calm any fears. She was able to climb the whole things and was so proud of herself. Would definitely recommend, especially for a group of mixed experience climbers. read more

These guys are top notch. You'll be surprised with what you can accomplish with their coaching and instruction. I'm a beginner rock climber (no outdoor experience) and was quite intimidated by the tall rocks overlooking the ocean by Point Dume. I thought I had no chance of climbing past 10-15 ft. But I found myself climbing 100 ft rocks of varying difficulty and making it to the top every time! I booked the Point Dume trip for four hours as a surprise for my husband's birthday. Rogerio is a pro and will make you feel safe and comfortable. He did a great job of always finding the perfect level of difficulty for us. We always felt that we were pushing ourselves but never unsafe or beyond our capabilities. I highly recommend the Point Dume climb. It's pricey... but the views are priceless. And I think the drone footage is well worth the extra investment. Thanks for an amazing day of climbing! You made my husband's birthday and we will be back for more. read more

What a great experience we had with the Ropes Course team! Milena made it very easy to schedule the event and set expectations on what forms to fill out and gave instructions on where the camp was located in the Malibu hills. Our team completed a few tasks - we had the rock climbing wall, crate climbing, Leap of Faith and Zipline. It was nice to be able to do each activity multiple times (we had about 20 people in our group) and were exhausted by the end! I'd highly recommend taking a group of people that can physically climb things! This was for an office team morale event (ages 25-40) and we all had a great time cheering each other on! read more

We did the beachside climb at Point Dume and it was such a great experience. We're novices with some experience indoors but this was our first time climbing outside and it was the perfect introduction. Roger and Milena are awesome teachers and super friendly, they made it a great and relaxed experience, coaching us through the more difficult spots and even taking some great pics. We are 100% better climbers after working with them. The climb is about 100ft with a variety of routes to keep things fun and challenging. In our 4 hour session we each did 6 climbs in the 5.7 - 5.8 range and that was just the right amount of climbing to leave us exhausted but feeling super accomplished. Outdoor climbing is such a different and exhilarating experience compared to indoor climbing and Roger and Milena are the perfect teachers. We'll definitely be back to join them for the Saddle Peak climb. read more

We went rock climbing this past weekend with Rock N Rope and their crew and had the best time! We booked it as a group of 8 for my husband's birthday and everyone in our group had a blast. Some had never climbed before and some had experience at a gym so they can work with whatever skill level you are. They have a great spot in Malibu with 4 different routes, so even with a group of 8, we didn't have to wait too long in between climbs. Roger and Milena were so great to work with. Booking was easy. We were running very late due to PCH traffic and they accommodated us still. Milena even brought a cake for my husband that I will have a hard time topping! It was delicious. If you're looking for a team building or a group outing or a date day, I would recommend giving these guys a call. I know we will be using them for our next rock climbing adventure. read more

Though it was our first rock climbing session, I would totally recommend Roger and Malena's team! You can really trust them as your belayer and can tell that they are passionate about rock climbing. The location was great because it was in a shaded area with spurts of sunlight and a gorgeous view at the top of your climb. The team starts you off on a beginner climb and gradually sets you up for more technical and higher climbs - on the last climb you can reach to approx. 100 ft! A worthwhile adventure! I cannot emphasize how much I enjoyed my experience with Rope n Rope Adventures! This climbing experience was intimidating enough to push me out of my comfort zone, but not scary enough to deter me from trying it again! Roger is personable, funny, knowledgeable, and patient. Not once did I feel pushed or rushed to make a climb I wasn't ready for, and not once did I feel like my life was in jeopardy. Roger was always present and ready to guide and encourage every step of the way. I also appreciated the fact that he dedicated a good amount of time discussing proper safety procedures and making sure to test out if everyone has that knowledge nailed down. That definitely assured me that I was in safe hands. Make note that it's not height itself that will get you, it's most likely the journey to the top that will. The view is worth it! Helpful tips: 1) GoPro owners - Helmets have mounts in case you want to capture the moment! 2) Beware that you may end up with scratches and bruises if you choose to wear tanks and shorts. 3) Have fun! Don't be too self-conscious of making mistakes. You'll learn and get better each time you climb. This is why you're taking this class! read more
