I had an amazing experience the young lady who waxed me was wonderful let me tell y'all about my experience I woke up today knowing I wanted a wax but I didn't know where I was going to go I got on yelp and started scrolling I decided to call R.P.S. Went for my very first Brazilian and was pretty nervous. My technician talked me through the entire process and made it super comfortable. Wasn't near as painful as I thought it was going to be. There was some pain which was to be expected but was manageable. The calming mask that was applied afterwards was amazing and soothed the skin perfectly. I visited Shirlen at Intrigue Hair Lounge for a Brazilian Wax with my deal from Living Social in hand. It was $39 for a Brazilian Wax. I called Shirlen to book my appointment two days before I intended on coming in. She was pleasant to speak to on the phone. On the day of my appointment, Shirlen called stating apologetically that she was caught up in traffic. We pushed the appointment forward about half an hour. I appreciated that she notified me so that I wasn't their waiting for her. I also appreciated how apologetic she was for being late. The salon is slightly hidden in a shopping complex but Shirlen helped me find my way. I entered a small, clean, salon. It was just the two of us. The salon is by appointment only. I didn't feel like dealing with the bustle of people so an empty salon was fine with me. Shirlen had her own room in the back where she does her waxing. The room was clean and larger than most waxing rooms I've been in. I liked it. Shirlen asked me to get prepared and politely left the room while I did. The waxing experience with Shirlen was amazing. She is gentle, extremely meticulous and obviously loves her work. She not only completed a great Brazilian but extended her waxing to include all areas she could see within the vicinity and took care of ingrown hairs. Her work was perfect. Shirlen's friendly demeanor made what can be an uncomfortable experience, enjoyable and even relaxing. The two of us were in conversation for the entire duration of the appointment. I highly recommend Shirlen to anyone who indulges in Brazilians including and especially first-timers who are nervous about this grooming practice.
