I called to request someone come by to give a quote. While speaking with the person on the phone, I explained to them all I needed done was a frame for 2 walls, and plywood installed on one side of those walls. Basically, one day or maybe a day and a half of work by 2 experiencd guys. We were going to finish the rest ourselves. He ask me to hold while he spoke to, who he said would be the person giving the quote, which was later confirmed by the person who showed up. When he got back on the line, he said that he was told this project is sounding like it would cost around $2500, but they would need to come by to give an official quote, which would cost $300, but that $300 would be put towards the quote. I have the email to prove it, but I was totally fine with that, since I would most likely be using them anyway, so I said come on. Never received a call on when they were on their way, as they said they would, they just showed up. So someone in our house had to come and tell me he was here. Measurements took about 15 minutes, then had to remeasure due to I was off just a tad about how my daughter wanted the walls run. So maybe 15 more minutes. While he was here, and since I was already paying $300, I requested another job done the same way down at my shop. Total wall lengths added together everywhere was maybe 50' at best. No wiring, no sheet rock, no finishing, just plywood on one side. Afterwards, he said he'd have the quote in about a week. I said, well let's go ahead and put it on the schedule cause I'm going to go ahead and use yall, basically due to how professional and likeable he was. Then, and this is where I basically figured I lost a quick $300 in less than an hour of his "quoting". He said, "Usually, I need my guys to do at least 40 hours a week, so we'll see". Which, they could've said on the phone during the explanation to them of what I was wanting done. And sure enough, the quote came back an outrageous almost 4 times more than what we discussed on the phone, on the first 2 wall frames at about 21 feet. Then on the other 2 wall frames, it was nearly $15 thousand dollars. These are astronomical prices, compared to my other quotes I later received. I feel they already knew they weren't going to do the job, but it was a quick $300 dollars for less than an hour quoting, so they acted like they were interested to make the bucks. Can't give you a review for quality of work, or type of service they did, I can only give you a value rating and maybe a morality rating, which would be,"BEWARE, IT'LL COST 2 ARMS AND 2 LEGS TO HAVE THIS COMPANY, NOT ONLY TO DO THE WORK, BUT FOR JUST A QUOTE". There's no shame whatsoever in this company snagging the quote fee, and moving to the next victim......js. This is definitely not the company to contact for small jobs.
