I emailed her the correct date, and we both agreed. Yet, then she said the date was wrong on the invoice. I didn't check the invoice and we had both agreed on the date previously. She showed up with the cake on the wrong date. It was a 350 dollar cake. I offered to buy that one half price because I felt bad. I saw on Instagram later (as she had never responded to me) that she had sold the cake. She never responded. I had to write two other emails to know what was happening for the date of the party. I wasn't even sure at that point she would show up. She would not respond to texts. In the end, I had to cancel party at least one week before due to Illness. she never gave me any money back. Zero customer service, hard to contact. She told me 'this is never happened before'. Really bad communication and even worse business practices. Buyer beware. read more

Jessica is seriously a rock star! I was flying down to Miami with several other girls for a bachelorette party for a weekend. Since none of us were familiar with Miami, I decided to turn to Yelp. Rock Star Pastries immediately caught my eye due to the wonderful reviews and pics of Jessica's work posted here and on her website. Although Jessica's website stated that she preferred to have orders in weeks before, I crossed my fingers and sent my request several days before my friends and I flew into town. I guess crossing my fingers worked because Jessica was down to do my order! I wanted to avoid having your typical X-rated bachelorette cake so instead I requested to have a simple cake with an edible image of Zach Morris and AC Slater on it. Jessica had some really fun ideas for this cake, such as adding 80's inspired decorations, which got me even more excited about this cake. When she delivered it, the cake definitely exceeded my expectations. She did an awesome job on capturing a look from the opening credits of SBTB. All of the girls were in love with it, and the bachelorette's face lit up when we surprised her with the cake. It seriously took us half an hour of admiration and picture taking before it was time to cut the cake. That proved to be a little difficult since the bachelorette said it was too cute to cut apart. The flavors of the cake I chose were 4 layers of red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting between the layers. Covering the cake was a vanilla butter cream frosting with fondant as the top layer. Let me tell you, this had to be one of the best red velvet cakes I've had so far! The cake was also moist and the cream cheese frosting was not too sweet either. Over the duration of our stay, all 10 of us managed to finish this cake, which was good to feed roughly 16-18 people. Overall, Jessica definitely did a wonderful job on not only decorating the cake but managed to deliver a delicious and reasonably priced cake. I had Jessica do 2 different cakes for me for my wife's 40th birthday and she was able to provide me with 2 amazing, yet different cakes, both of which hit the theme for that respective brunch and dinner. Due to back surgery I was unable to provide the cake for my Grand Daughter's 8th birthday. My daughter booked this baker and after the email discussing design, flavor, servings, location and time for the cake to be delivered; after cake was booked I paid. The cake arrived 3 minutes after the party was over! She never answered the calls we started to place when she was 30 minutes late, the cake not only arrived THAT late it was still partially frozen on the inside. Cake designed looked thrown together, the design (Monster High) seemed half finished. She wanted to give my daughter a VOUCHER for being late, when my daughter replied that she was going to give her a bad yelp review if she didn't refund the money, the baker agreed to refund the money and for my daughter NOT to leave a bad review. We ended up purchasing designer cupcakes as the kids were clamoring for cake, just so they had something to put the candles in and sing the Happy Birthday Song.
