    New island countertop

LOVE our new island! Cat was so helpful and HONEST. We stopped in and had already been to a few other places to ask about replacing our builder grade size island countertop (which was useless). Cat took the time to answer our questions and freely offered information that other places did not. Price was reasonable as we did not need a full piece. We went with Rock Your World Granite because of Cat. She set the expectations of order and install and this company EXCEEDED as we were trying to get it completed before Christmas and they did! Installers did a great job in a short amount of time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cat and her team!

My kitchen contractors suggested Rock Your World, Inc. for my countertops as I was doing a complete kitchen renovation. Who couldn't love that name, "Rock your world?" Full disclosure, I did comparison shopping but when I walked into RYW and met Cat and her husband Carl (and the dogs and the little one) and their sample room I knew I would find what I was looking for. I'll admit, I can be picky about what I want and how work is managed and ultimately finished, but it was a complete joy to work with Cat and her crew. What I truly appreciated was their vast knowledge of the different granite, quartz, laminate, tiles and speciality offerings and the pros and cons of each. I walked away with two samples of what I thought I wanted and confident in my eventual choice. Make no mistake, selecting quartz comes with a sticker shock but Cat had lots of colors and finishes to select from for my budget and all were less than the big box shops. Additionally, her measuring team takes their time measuring and then cutting templates, on site, to ensure a perfect fit. When it came time to lay the tops down, they again brought their same craftsmanship and attention to detail. The quartz countertop I purchased was the crown in my kitchen renovation and thank you, Rock Your World, Inc. for doing so.

KDBC recently completed a kitchen renovation project for us. As we write this review, we are trying…read moreto remain mindful of several factors, some of which were outside of KDBC's control. Like many people, we've experienced a noticeable decline in service quality and reliability since the COVID-19 pandemic, and that reality has inevitably influenced how we evaluate companies today. TL;DR: Would we recommend KDBC for a kitchen project? Yes. Despite a few challenges along the way, we would rate our overall experience 4.5 out of 5 stars. For those interested in more detail, keep reading. First, we want to be clear that not everything went perfectly during this project. However, our project manager's responsiveness and commitment to addressing issues quickly prevented what otherwise could have been a much less favorable review. Whenever we raised a concern, he immediately worked toward a solution. One lesson we learned, and one we would encourage future customers to keep in mind, is to ask questions about the subcontractors involved in different aspects of the project. That alone, was the primary factor that made parts of our experience somewhat mixed. We had an excellent electrician team and excellent cabinet installers. However, we were less impressed with the cabinet installers' cleanliness. They did not consistently clean up after themselves, and their boots were placed on items such as appliances or counters which we thought they would be more careful about. Similarly, the backsplash installation was a mixed experience. At this point, you might wonder why we would still recommend KDBC. The answer is simple: the project manager assigned us. Shane ensured that every issue we reported was addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. While this meant that it added a few days to the project timeline, it also ensured that we were happy with the final result. His level of responsiveness was genuinely refreshing. We received regular text updates, and whenever we reached out with a question or concern, we typically received a response within an hour or 2. As a result, our concerns are less about KDBC as a company and more about some of the subcontractors involved on this project. If we were starting a similar renovation again, we would spend more time asking questions about which subcontractors might be assigned to various aspects of the work before signing a contract. We would also like to end this review by recognizing KDBC's electrician team and their master "jack-of-all-trades," Ryan (all of whom are employees and not subs). If there was one individual who left us especially impressed, it was Ryan. He seems capable of dealing with just about anything and was responsible for the finishing touches on the project. He is attentive, clean, thorough, and helpful, and he even corrected issues left behind by some subcontractors. His craftsmanship stands out. If we ever to redesign a kitchen with KDBC, we would ask whether Ryan was still with the company and request him by name. That is how impressed we were. Finally, we want to mention the experience before the project began. Throughout the planning and sales process, we felt very well informed by our Design Consultant, Frank. We never felt pressured to make decisions, and every question we asked, at least the ones we knew to ask at the time, was answered promptly. The team was also very accommodating, whether that meant inviting us to their showroom or visiting our home to discuss samples and design options. Overall, KDBC delivered a beautiful finished kitchen, and their commitment to customer satisfaction ultimately outweighed the challenges we encountered along the way. While we would encourage future customers to ask questions about the subcontractors assigned to their project, we would not hesitate to recommend KDBC based on the professionalism, responsiveness, and dedication demonstrated by Chris, Ryan, the electrician team, and the broader KDBC staff. Final Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I had numerous quotes on the one day acrylic panel installs and was surprised at the discounts provided "if I signed up today". I am 80 yrs old and prefer quality & craftsmanship and decided on tile & grout method. I had used KBF 15 yrs ago to remodel my baths when the father ran the business. He has retired but I am happy to report his two sons have continued the tradition of quality craftsmanship at a reasonable price. My project took three weeks (not one day) but worth the wait... and I actually paid less than the best "acrylic panel" deal! My pleasure to highly recommend KBF if you can do without the bath while install takes place. Bill Castens

Junior came out and met with us and somehow managed to translate my insane ramblings about shadowboxes and faux islands into exactly what I was wanting. He was able to make some recommendations for things I would have never even thought of (moving our stove down a few inches for extra drawers and building our fridge into the cabinets so we have more over fridge storage) and had our drawings to us immediately. He was up front about the pricing and we were able to pick and choose from options that met our needs but kept us within budget. The only real snag we hit was when my husband decided to go out on his own for places to buy granite from, but once we shopped from the list that Junior had given us things went a lot smoother. I was impressed with how organized everything was throughout the entire planning process. Junior gave us a timeline on when our work could begin and things went according to plan. The crew was friendly and worked really hard, they kept things as neat as you can expect from a kitchen remodel. Given everything I hear from other folks that have done kitchen remodels, I was braced for a lot of pain and delays, so I am pleased to report that things actually went faster than expected once I understood that the granite takes about a week to have cut after the cabinets are installed. I am so happy with my new kitchen, it is literally my dream come true. I cannot rave enough about Junior and the team from I4. =)

He asked me to send pictures and measurements and that he would be out the next day. 30 mins before he was suppose to be there, he called with a price over $9000 the highest estimate that I received. We talked about differences, and I mentioned that we had terrazzo so we did not want tile. He did not know what terrazzo was. I told him thank you, I was not interested in the estimate and hung up. I am sorry but if a estimator/designer in FL does not know what terrazzo is, I have issues since this is the most common flooring that was used in the older homes.
