I bought a tv console, two end tables and coffee table. I was told because of COVID it could take six weeks to deliver from California. The tv console and end tables were delivered in 8 weeks but I was told the coffee table was damaged needed to be reordered but I was made to pay all of the balance but $100. Six weeks later I call for update on delivery date. Nobody calls me back. I call back two weeks later and was told they need to research it. I find out it was never reordered. Then of corse because of COVID they can't give a delivery date. The manager Debbie doesn't return your calls and the owner never called as requested. They won't return your money because the receipt says no refunds or cancelations. Nice furniture but not worth the headache. I'm still waiting. Shop somewhere else.... read more

To Bruce Wine - Owner I know this is a little late in coming but none the less I wanted to let you know how pleased I am with Debbie, Jonathan and your whole crew at Tarpon/Stressless Furniture.  It's was almost a year since the part was ordered to repair our new Flexsteel couch.  This delay was due to supply chain issues, container ship holdups, COVID, etc.  Throughout this period Debbie was just really exceptional in keeping me updated, calm and reassured that this was a process.  This was also the case when after waiting for 11 months for delivery of the replacement part, the part that was received was damaged and deemed unusable. Your quick action of calling Flexsteel and expediting the shipment of the replacement part was greatly appreciated.  Jonathan did an excellent job of assessing the need for a whole new mechanism that would fix our problem and his replacement of the necessary mechanism made our couch function as it was expected too.  Even with the extended delay and problems encountered your team made me a very satisfied customer and one that feels very comfortable in recommending your company to anyone in the market for top of the line furniture and home furnishings. Highly recommend this store both for quality of the furniture and customer service. Finally replaced my aging master bedroom with a new set from Tarpon furniture and couldn't be happier with the quality, price, and delivery. Delivery truck was on time and furniture set up professionally. Appreciated the service and decided to replace another bedroom so drove out to Hudson again (worth the drive!) They helped me select a quality bed and mattress that worked within my budget for my son's room, even flipping through catalogs until I found exactly what I wanted. Robin called in advance to schedule delivery and coordinated a 3 hour time frame that worked in my schedule, with assurance that the delivery guys would call 30 minutes prior to arriving, and they did. Delivery and set up was again done efficiently and they moved the bed until I was happy with the location. Nice to know this store is independently owner and the owner was on site to be sure I received great customer service. read more

Spent about $6500 on a new leather sectional by Flexsteel. Horrible service after the sale. Problem with one of the pieces (staple sticking up under leather on center console) so Flexsteel quickly replaced. Piece sat in Tarpon Furniture's warehouse for weeks after they received it from factory. Called last week about status of replacement piece, told me to call back when service scheduling person in the office. For 7K, maybe they should have taken down my name and number and called me back instead of me doing all the work. Finally got a call back and set up apt for service tech to deliver replacement piece. No show and no calls. Typical Florida crappy service. I will never buy again from Tarpon Furniture. Flexsteel was great to work with! read more

I am not sure what went on with the other reviews on this store but my experience was excellent! I bought about $7000 worth of furniture, got free delivery and the price on what I bought was hundreds less then any other place I could find. I guess you can not please everyone and its sad that only angry people get online to complain and the happy ones never do. It looks like they have been around a LONG time and if they were that bad I doubt they would have made it this long. I will go there first for all my future furniture needs. read more

I purchased furniture 10 years ago and sold our home with furniture as it was still like new and no complaints. So..I purchased $6000+ just recently... on some high end leather sofa love seat and a rocker and had some minor problems...This owner and company are just phenominal and more than willing to make it right and they DID just that...No worries about this company...They back their stuff and do not sell it if it isn't quality...I have been in the textile business for over 20 years....This is a gold star company. My parents live in Spring Hill FL and they have bought a lot of furniture from Tarpon Furniture, they always deal with the owner direct and have nothing but great things to say about their experiences. I myself have been into the store on several occasions with them and the whole staf was friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I'm sorry that lady had such a bad experience but it sounds like she has more of a personal vendetta than a review on the store. She only has reviewed one thing so it seems she made her yelp account just to bad mouth one person. If I ever move to FL I would shop at tarpon without hesitation! read more

I called this store and spoke with Hugh Watts the so-called general manager . I told him that since we still had not received the entertainment center that we purchased on 5/5 (todays date 6/4) that we wanted to cancel it. He said he cannot cancel it..... well guess what either he cancels it and refunds my money or we will see him in court and before we do that we will call news channel 8 and make this into a big production. This is the worst company I have ever purchased from. They told us three weeks and its already been 5 and they expect it to arrive in two or three weeks more... I find it very amusing that Tarpon Furniture claims to keep "the traditional values of honesty, courtesy, great prices, and service." I had the extreme displeasure of being assisted (if one could call it that) by Frank. I wonder if he is able to make any sales at all as he informed me that the establishment was a mid to high end furniture store and that I would probably be interested in another establishment down the street. He made some additional rude comments, albeit in a polite manner; however, sugarcoating his comments did not make it any less disrespectful. Other than calling his behavior rude, I refrained from making any additional comments that came to my mind. I will be sure not to make any purchases at this establishment and will be glad to share my experience with my family and friends. read more

I had horrible service after my purchase was made. The sales clerk called to deliver my furniture about a week and a half later then was I was originally told it would be in. Then I was told I only ordered one couch and I was under the impression I ordered a set of couches. The manager wrote up the sales ticket wrong from what I wanted to order, and I told them I never would approved one couch that does not even make sense in my situation. They say it is my fault because the ticket says one piece not a set. I have tried to reason with the sales person and manager of the store and the owner Bruces refuses to even speak to me regarding the issue. I ask them if I need to file a complaint with the BBB and I was told my the manager Joan "do what you have to do". I would never recommend this place to anyone not even if you were desperate for furniture. read more

Ordered a TV console on October 18 and paid the entire purchase price up front (BIG MISTAKE). I was told it would be delivered in 3-4 weeks. After 5 weeks I called and was told it was "on the truck" coming from California. Two weeks later I called and was told it "was on the truck" coming from California. I vehemently complained and was told the "manager would return my call." That did not happen. I asked for a refund -- that did not happen. I then received a voice mail, which I am sure was Slydialed, indicating that my item would be delivered during the week after Christmas. I called to say I did not want the item since I had made other arrangements. Four days after Christmas I received a cheery call saying my item would be delivered the following day. I finally was able to speak to the manager and she gave me a store credit. Fortunately I found an item in the store I could take with me, so that it was unnecessary to endure another "3-4" week delivery period. How this place stays in business is a mystery. The customer service is non-existent! Also, watch out for their "sales." When I returned to cash in my store credit there was a "50% off sale." Several of the items, including the TV console I had ordered, had the prices increased and then the 50% was deducted. read more

I bought a Sofa,love seat,chair reclining set. Recliners all of them pop open on there own hit my Dog in the face and my legs..it's so uncomfortable very little sitting space legs hang off like it's made for children when laying flat you have to open recliner so you don't fall off. Handle so tight in cushion it hurts your hand to move it. Spent 5.500 what a Nightmare.The Store Manager leaves it up to Omnia to resolve which is unsolvable I had to call credit card Company. It's been A 9 month nightmare..My Company comment about sitting space and It being uncomfortable. All I can Say is Buyer Beware! Everyone seems Nice until they Got your Money then your on your Own. Omnia said they could change out all foam to a softer one But then we would be Feeling the Springs. How can you change a seat size? My Grand daughter is 5'6 and her legs hang over. I'm 5'10 my son 6'1 like I said it's a Nightmare I hate sitting on it. read more

My husband and me recently purchased a dinette set from Tarpon Furniture and waited a long time for it's arrival. This was not the problem because we had been told it would take that long for a special order. (color of seats etc.) I also had been told that it is carefully looked over at the factory so that it goes out in good condition.The set proudly carried a tag that said "Made In America" and we anticipated that because of the USA tag and the hefty price, that we would be very satisfied. The set has more wrong with it than right. The chairs are stitched crooked, sides of two chairs have the oak stain missing, a screw was screwed right thru the chair that is dangerously left to cut yourself on,the wood table top is scratched, the chair backs were not properly attached which leaves the sewed ends looking like flaps instead of being tucked under properly and where the table top meets the formica is rough due to poor workmanship. We were now told by Tarpon Furniture that they will order backs and parts to fix this set while it is in our home. We also now have to wait while these parts are ordered and live with this outrage until the parts come in and then set up a time for the technician to come to do the repairs. In all honesty we feel this should be an embarrassment for Tarpon Furniture to have something so damaged to be delivered in their name. read more
