There is a main trail that loops around and borders the lake. Most of the rim there is foliage blocking the view but there are a few open spots and the overlook spot if you want a view of the lake. I would recommend verring onto the Northern Harrier Trail which was our favorite. Felt very whimsical with all of the wildflowers and deer. This is an excellent spot for birding. Saw a few groups with binoculars. I broke our my bird call app and had dozens of birds identified that we then tried to find. Very fun! The trail itself is pretty short but it's worth doing a few laps if you've got the time. Or taking it really slow to soak it up. There is large parking lot available. Google maps takes you right to it.

It's super easy to get to, with good parking and signage. I was surprised that there was no paved trail/path. There is a bird watching path and another running trail and they all connect, but nothing is paved. Be sure to bring your bug spray and there were warning signs that there are ticks. There's a great lookout spot with a few benches less than a mile into the trail. Excellent views.

The leaves made it a little difficult to find the trail, but nonetheless it was really pretty. I loved the stairs within the park as well. One thing to mention- you definitely don't want to miss Mill Creek falls. It's the TALLEST waterfall in the county. However, it's a little bit of a walk from the nature reserve parking lot (I think it took us like 40 min), and my only complaint is that the trail spits you out onto the road for a bit, but then connects you to another trail that takes you to the waterfall. (I wish it was more continuous). You can also drive there since there's a small parking lot near the falls as well.

We arrived around 6pm on a weekday evening. There were only 2 other people playing tennis together when My friend and I arrived so it was nice that the courts were not very busy. Although the tennis courts were not busy, there were people walking around the park just outside of the tennis courts enclosure. . The park has a playground for kids and there is a grassy area for maybe softball, baseball, or football. There apparently is a pool at the park too but I don't remember seeing one because I am writing this review over a year and a half later. TENNIS (hard court) -- The park has 2 pickleball courts and 4 tennis courts. My friend and I played tennis on one of the courts for over an hour. The surface is hard court so not clay or grass court surface. Playing on the hard court surface was good. The courts are definitely well used and not new but the tennis balls still bounced off well. The park could use some benches because I hardly saw any during my October 2025 visit. Overall, I had a fun time playing tennis here. I take the dog down here about once a week. It's blocks from my Lakewood home over the freeway. It's pretty well maintained and is in probably the safest neighborhood in the city of Cleveland. Lots of parking and only blocks from Giant Eagle or the Rocky River reservation.

Berea has done a great job with this and their downtown. Cure little town with a lot to offer.

If you catch Cleveland on a lovely day, the Wade Park Lagoon should absolutely be a stop on your visit. Have a picnic there! It's a serene oasis right off CMA (literally) that includes the infamous Auguste Rodin "The Thinker" statue. In the spring, it's a stunning sight to see the water reflect CMA and the surrounding greenery. There's several areas to roll out a blanket on the grass and read, picnic or take photographs. I've also come here twice as part of a bridal party to take wedding photos and they always turn out magical. I do believe there's a walking path and you'll find awesome sculptures scattered throughout. It makes me so happy to see so many trees in such an urban environment like University Circle. This lagoon is a treat for both this area and Cleveland, and uplifts the environment with its mix of lush landscaping and serene setting.
