They have really cool stuff you won't find elsewhere and most of the time their prices are less than your standard grocery chain. All that remains true at this new location in Salem, but I have to admit I didn't love it. I think the layout and design is a lot more "outlet" than the ones I usually frequent and I just didn't like the feel. I'm sure they had all the same great products, but I honestly didn't enjoy shopping and didn't wander like I usually would. It's not really their fault and I don't know how else to say I didn't like the vibes but....well I didn't. Once thing I'll give them is that they had some seriously gorgeous and fairly rare philodendrons in their plant section. I didn't see them until after I'd checked out, but they did tempt me to get back in line. So while I won't actively avoid this store, you are more likely to find me at Lancaster Drive when in Salem.

The parking lot is much more accessible and the storefront, more welcoming. The aisles are wider and the store, brighter. Selection seems to be the same; you can find a great selection of coffee, closeout health and beauty, and international options. They usually run a deal on turkeys for the holidays, but I'd suggest to throughly check any perishables, as deals here come with a risk of going bad quickly, I'm not sure if the increased prices are due to the move or what our government is doing to the economy, but my favorite sea salt sunflower seeds went up from $2.99 to $5.99 in the past several months. They have the best prices on random spices that I may not have otherwise purchased and seasonal deals. Independent, quality chocolate shops don't seem to last long, partly due to climate change and the rising cost of cocoa beans. See's used to be my go to chocolate shop, but they use too many artificial ingredients, especially for their prices. The handmade chocolates at Keizer Liquor come from Minnesota (I'd rather support locals), but for taste and gift quality, they are excellent, if pricey. The gift shop has lots of year round and seasonal offerings that will brighten any home. Most items are a little expensive, but they're regularly marked down in post season sales. I'm glad this store is doing well. There's not much that compares in all of nearby Salem.

She handed it to me I handed it back when I was done examining it and she put it back. I told her how dumb that entire process was. She said its just our policy. Lmao.... No common sence. They evidently know nothing about selecting cigars. I will be driving to lancaster for cigars from now on. They allow you to pick out your own cigar and smoke one there if you'd like.
