Pick your own taffy and goody mix! (large bag around $13)

What a fun sweet shop to visit in the Lake Arrowhead Village courtyard! If you have a sweet tooth, love nostalgic candies and sodas, or are just browsing the village on a visit, THIS is the place for you! The shop itself is loaded with all sorts of novelty treats, comical metal signs, stuffed animals, and little trinkets. Everything is neat and organized well. There's even a pick-a-mix section with a variety of taffies and other bite-sized candies that you bag yourself. You can even find some sugar-free selections. Aisles are spacious, so browsing doesn't interfere with those buying - and it sure is a kick to look around this unique shop. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Many times the young ladies have been stocking shelves when I've visited, but they quickly move to the registers when customers are ready. It's hard to NOT find something when visiting Rocket Fizz, and since you're not buying in bulk, it's equally hard to resist shelling out a few bucks to try an old favorite or something you've seen but never tried. For older folks like myself, you're guaranteed to see some candies you haven't seen in years (or assumed were long out of production). Come on in for a treat!

My best friend we were meeting later in the day wanted some strawberry candies those hard ones with the strawberry filling. Which is so weird she asked me for those cause I was just looking for those last week to buy for her and I but I couldn't find them anywhere, then when she texted asking if we stop to try and find those I was shocked haha. I was so happy they have this amazing candy store near the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory. They have everything here and I love how they decorated and how friendly all the employees were. The kids were having so much fun looking at all the different candies. We found the strawberry candies in the front you can pick a bag so of course got some for her and I. Yay was so happy they had them, I tried to surprise her but she texted asking if I found them LOL so told her I did but was trying to surprise her hahah oh well. It was pretty busy here too and I can't wait to come here again they have even old sodas so cool! Love this candy store, if you have a sweet tooth like me and baby girl haha you would love this store too. Thank you so much for excellent customer service and such a delicious heaven filled candy store thats so clean and neat and pleasing to the eyes and teeth LOL. Thank you for being so nice to our kids too they had fun coming inside looking at everything. I recommend checking this store out with kids it's so fun. Have a beautiful day, be kind to everyone :) Aloha

Great selection of treats although it is a little pricey. Seemingly opposes CIA backed clandestine operations in Cuba so 5 stars for me.

Who doesn't love a candy store?! Every major tourist area needs to have one of these! It is a staple. This candy store is great. They have all kinds of things! Cheap candy. And a great selection. You can't beat that. No matter what your craving is, you are sure to find something that your heart desires here. I got black licorice, sour ropes, a mood ring (random I know lol) and some funfetti birthday cake cookie dough bites. Yes, you read that right lolol the cookie dough bites tasted like funfetti cake. Didn't taste like cookie dough balls at all. Funny and fun to try! The line gets long inside. Try to find times where the line is shorter (etc morning time before most people's sweet tooth kicks in.)

While waiting for a seat at a restaurant near here we popped into this candy shop to kill some time. I really liked this place, there are so many different varieties of candy's, chocolate and pop. My friends and I like to get the weird flavors of soda and try them out. This time I just got something simple, some pocky. But I'd never seen this flavor of pocky before so that was unique. There was a bit of a line to check out, but it moves pretty quickly. We like stopping in here for a little treat.

They have XXX Root Beer which is so hard to find and so amazing to enjoy. Such a wide selection. Great location. Something for everyone.

The outside, it's next to the Claire's and passed the McDonalds

With some outside tables offering scenic views of the lake, this is a great spot to take a rest from browsing and grab an ice cream cone, cold drink, specialty coffee, or sugary treat. The shop offers Thrifty Ice cream in assorted flavors, cone choices ranging from simple sugar to freshly-made, warm waffle cones for cradling your scoops, and a variety of additional crowd pleasing snacks such as churros, baked goods, specialty lattes, Dole Whip, soft serve, and other edible treasues too numerous to mention. Price wise, their offerings are a bit on the higher side - I paid around $10 for a large chocolate malt (shakes are cheaper) - but you will probably encounter a small, quickly-moving line upon entry. And though ice cream can be found at other village businesses, indeed, there are some confections that are unique to this site. Our server (apparently only one on a weekday afternoon) was pleasant and efficient, rapidly filling orders and fielding any questions as she moved to and fro translating the pictured menu offerings into the equally-tempting tangible goodies that excited patrons scurry away holding. It's hard to resist this little spot as you peruse the shops along the esplanade - and what's better than strolling around that walkway bend to the lakefront businesses with a refreshing treat in hand? I'm sure you'll find something that catches your eye and, subsequently, dazzles your tastebuds.

We also tried a vanilla flurry with chocolate chip cookies and Oreos. It had good flavor, but the cookies tasted a bit old. The workers were friendly and helpful, and answered all our questions with no problem. There was a pretty long line, but it moved fast, and once we ordered we got our ice cream right away. Prices were pretty average, not too expensive, not super cheap. The shop itself was clean and inviting, which made the visit even better. Overall, a cute spot for a quick treat!

I was shocked at the actual square footage of this store as it looks much smaller from the street. Additionally, I never noticed they have a Starbucks within. Initially I only intended to stop in for a meager bag of tortilla chips, but I soon found myself walking other aisles just to peruse the variety of goods available. There's a full-service bakery with an impressive display case near the entrance (adjacent to the Starbucks), and the steaks at the meat counter were equally attractive. The deli section was doing a good business with several people in line for sandwiches, and I noticed a hot soup station, as well. I hate shopping at Lake Arrowhead village on weekends due to the traffic and, though this Jensens was doing a very brisk business, the ease of parking is so much better. I have been relying on the little market in Cedar Glen (a former Jensens, ironically) for emergency "basics, " but it's nice to know there is a larger, better-stocked, option available a short five miles distant.
