After frantically putting all the frozen items in another freezer/fridge combo and as much refrigerated stuff in said other freezer/fridge, I got there much later than the 20 minutes the map said it would take. Once I got there, he asked about what I needed and when I requested dry ice, he actually suggested regular block ice in order not to ruin my refrigerator contents (dry ice would be too cold). So, instead of spending more, I paid less AND didn't freeze my refrigerator items. I also found out they make large cubes for alcoholic beverages - super Crystal clear, too - I got some of those for my hubby (look, it's been a long day - we started with the sump pump dying and had to deal with that, shop-vac-ing the carpets from the resulting flood, and then the daughter tells us around 4:30pm that the fridge/freezer has died - hubby NEEDS A DRINK! ) and he was so happy to have them! Jim's Enterprises was the savior based on a Yelp search. Whoever my wife spoke to was more than helpful on the phone advising that they have several set sized boxes and can tell us how much dry ice would be needed. We were able to obtain an empty ice cream cake box and bring it to Jim's Enterprises so we got the perfect sized box, and was told 10lbs of dry ice would be the optimal amount. We also got the warnings to not handle it with our bare hands and that it should last the day's trip. Only open until 4pm so plan accordingly. Great service, and the ice cream cake made the trip intact. Very happy.

After the tune-up was completed, I was charged $498 total. I later discovered that I had apparently been charged $219 per hour, rather than the $219 total price I was quoted. This hourly rate was never disclosed to me when I scheduled the service. The technician himself told me that my furnace was in good shape and that this was a regular tune-up for him. I called the office that same day to address the issue, and the woman at the front desk confirmed to me that their tune-ups are $219. She told me she would pass my information along to Mr. Ferro. I never received a call from him and eventually had to follow up myself. When I finally spoke with someone, the explanation seemed to be that the technician had to perform a significant amount of additional work on my furnace. That does not match what I was told by the technician, nor what I understood was being performed when I authorized the $219 tune-up. I also contacted two other local oil companies afterward, and both told me that $438 in labor for a routine oil furnace tune-up was extremely excessive. My biggest issue isn't simply the price -- it's the lack of transparency about the $219-per-hour charge. If I had been told upfront that $219 was an hourly labor rate, I could have made an informed decision before authorizing the work. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend Ferro. I feel the pricing was not transparent, and the way my concern was handled afterward was disappointing.
