The patio was nice even though it was drizzling they have a covered spaced and big umbrellas over the tables that aren't covered, we sat under the umbrella and it was a really nice morning! We enjoyed the details and descriptions of the distillery operations. The rick house was impressive. We finished with a tasting of four spirits. The vodka, gin, Kansas City whiskey and coffee liqueur. All were excellent. J. Rieger is the top distillery in the metro, for sure. Highest quality. They even have a spiral slide from the restaurant down to the bottom floor. We enjoyed the tasting room and cocktails outside where we could hear music from Knuckleheads next door. We arrived a bit early to order a cocktail and a large table was reserved and waiting for us. Our tour guide Shannon was impressive in her knowledge of the entire distillation, aging, bottling and the entire alcohol industry in general. Educational and quick with answers to all of our questions. I can't recommend this tour enough. After we concluded the backroom tour, we were greeted by a 5-cup sampling of the Gins, Irish Whiskeys and Vodka, with another in depth oration from our guide on what we were tasting. We then ordered more cocktails of our favorites - I went with the Gin Margaritas and Gin Palomas. I forgot how much I enjoyed gin. Soon afterwards they started music bingo and we had a blast, one of our crew even won a couple of cool prizes. The proprietor Adam has a first-class operation and one heck of a team that goes the extra yard to make sure that your stay is first class. Special Kudos to Rona and Masha also. I can't wait to return.

I was hoping to purchase some cans of Paloma but they didn't have any (bummer!). But, we did purchase a bottle of their Gin. Seasonal drinks are pricey (and small) so I'd stick with the original menu options. Service was excellent though!
