Came here to Support SCORPIONYX and KISS THIS on a Saturday night! Considering they are two Tribute bands, they were awesome! My father is in Scorpionyx and I've sat in some of their rehearsals so I knew what to expect and know how good they are! First time at a KISS THIS show! I will definitely be checking them out and if their ever in Buffalo I will definitely be back! They were in full face makeup, full costume, it was quite the experience! Catching two guitar picks the lead threw into the crowd was awesome! Now for the actual Bar.. cheap drinks, great bar service. As I said before, once they start playing you can't hear anything, it's very loud and you have to scream into the persons ear just to get your order. Liquor wise, I found that it's very watered down and they have cheap brands. (Great!) for crowded bar scenes and for a good time, but if your looking for a buzz, good luck! I had about (12) drinks, I should have felt like I was floating, I didn't. Kind of disappointed. $3 Canned Beer, $4 Bottled Beer, $6 Mixed Drinks, $3 Shots - Price Wise , I'll definitely be back! * I've worked in a bar setting for the past 4 years, and from my knowledge there has always been a rule that only ( 1 liter ) bottles are allowed on the shelf to be served.. that being said, seeing liquor in jug sizes that you find on sale at liquor stores was kind of alarming. My take on it, is OK serve cheap brands - have cheap prices for that reason, but have decent size bottles on self, not ridiculous ones. * RANT OVER. Besides the girl doing a line in the bathroom, I had a great time! Ordering two large decent size pizzas at the bar was a great choice too!

After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

Finally got around to check this place out and I am happy I did, just wish I didn't wait so long to…read moredo so. I went there to try the chicken wings that I have been hearing about and reading about for so long but I had no idea about thier poutine fries and just how outstanding they were. Honestly if you like that kind of thing it may be worth visiting this place just to try thier poutine fries. We ordered both Cajun wings and mild wings. The Cajun were outstanding, cooked to absolute perfection, these weren't the dry rubbed Cajun that I was used to having, I believe it was a Cajun butter sauce they were tossed in which was absolutely terrific and I would probably have them tied at first place out of all the Cajun wings I have tried so far. The mild wings were just as good and also cooked to perfection, I would say they are possibly top 2 for me. We also ordered the Guinness stout burger and the garlic bread. The garlic bread was pretty good, had a bit of spice to it. The Guinness burger was good had better but it was definitely good and would order it again. We had nice window seats and the staff was very attentive and friendly, as good as it gets pretty much. Very reasonably priced for sure, especially when you consider quality of what you are actually getting, definitely a good deal. Definitely need to get back there and try out their other wings. Check out the images here of the crispy Cajun wings and the poutine fries. 4.4 out of 5.

The smitty wings just tasted like mild buffalo sauce and the honey cajun was pretty good. My issue was with the "ranch" sauce because it tasted like straight horseradish and every bite left a bitter aftertaste. The poutine fries would've been good if they didn't make the gravy with the power of the pacific ocean with how salty it is. All time favorite is def it's the hot honey pizza rolls, so bomb!

One of my favorite places back home in Massachusetts is a little place called the Black Sheep…read moreTavern (I know, I'm reviewing the Rusty Buffalo, bear with me). Great pizza, good wings, fun atmosphere--you know the kind of place I'm talking about, and if you don't and you're near the Rusty Buffalo, go on in and you'll see what I mean. Anyway, I was traveling with my family through the Buffalo area and we figured since we're here, we really ought to have wings for dinner, right? After reading a ton of Yelp reviews, we settled on the Rusty Buffalo. I reached out on Facebook (they were closed at that time) to ask how much lead time they needed for an order of wings, and they got right back to me. 30 minutes, so plan ahead! I phoned in the order so that it would be ready for us to pick up as soon as we got into town--they were really nice on the phone and even called me back when we got disconnected. I ordered four chicken finger dinners and 40 wings--I was about to order extra fries, but the lady on the phone stopped me and told me the dinners each came with easily enough fries for two people. Not many places will undersell a customer like that, and I really appreciated it, since traveling long distance with leftovers can be a pain. I walked in to pick up the order, and it was like I was back home again. Great atmosphere, friendly people, good music, and the food smelled amazing. We got it back to our hotel, checked in, unloaded, and sat down to eat. Everything was still piping hot. I strongly recommend the Honey Sriracha--it's addictive. It was my first time trying Chiavetta's sauce, too, and it was also excellent. Their house Buffalo sauce was some of the best I've had anywhere. However, the Cajun dry rub was everyone's favorite, hands down. Their wings were all crispy and delicious, even the ones that had been sauced heavily. I wouldn't hesitate to go there again anytime I'm passing through.

She inquired about my preferences, and I mentioned I liked margaritas and old fashioneds. She suggested a drink that was exactly what I wanted - not sweet, and I was very happy with my choice. I also tried the Ruby Red Kolsch, which was a tasty grapefruit-flavored beer. We wanted something light to eat since we were hungry but had dinner plans in one hour. The bartender made a great suggestion for a light appetizer. Customer service was good and friendly. The pricing was also reasonable: we had one beer, one mixed drink, and an appetizer, and our total was just $21.
