Amazing dental office!!! All of the staff are wonderful. Sweet, gentle, informative and patient. They make going to the dentist fun! Recently my daughter had her tooth "wiggled out" and pulled. Dr. Jessi and Miss Ashley made the whole experience wonderful for my daughter! They even sent her a card and sticker in the mail checking on her and telling her they were so proud of her. Scheduled an appointment a month in advance for my daughter's 1st visit. Arranged my work schedule to accommodate. Over the phone they asked me for my insurance information. I provided everything. They confirmed they could take my daughter's insurance. Showed up to the appointment 10 minutes early on July 15 at 1:20pm. I was told there was no appointment scheduled. Liz (the receptionist) said she sees the notes of my insurance then tells me my insurance plan doesn't cover the visit. She tells me I can do a cash pay visit. Very frustrating! Took our almost 1 year old here and might I say, WOW an amazing experience. Making an appointment was easier than getting my new toddler to stay still. The moment we walked in we were greeted by the kind receptionist. Overall experience was 10/10 and our boy didnt at all feel uncomfortable during the entire visit. Covid policy is absolutely ridiculous . My wife had to wait outside in 100 degree weather with my 2 other kids and watched my daughters treatment outside the window. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing this. It's almost 2022 and we can go in to any establishment with no restrictions other than masks. Appalled. Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!! So excited to have finally found an amazing pediatric dentist!!! Ariana had her first appointment last year and was terrified of just a cleaning. Everyone was so patient and caring with her to make her feel comfortable!! She had a couple fillings and at her last appointment she started crying in the middle of her treatment. Dr. Laura was so sweet and calm and talked to her in a caring way to try and make her feel comfortable! Cynthia was also an amazing help trying to make Ariana feel safe! They eventually brought another tech in to help and they painted her nails and gave her a teddy bear to help calm her down! I was amazed at all they do to try and make the kiddos feel comfortable!! Unfortunately, we did not make it back to see the doctor, so this review is solely for the staff up front. My children were new patients. I showed up 40min early (by accident) expecting to fill out paperwork and I wanted my kids to feel comfortable. When I checked in, I had a question regarding the copay amount. I recently upgraded my insurance so I was unaware of such a high copay. The woman was extremely rude and spoke down to me the entire time. She repeatedly stated "umm that's how insurance works". Clearly I'm fully aware of how insurance works, however, further clarification was needed and I asked her to explain. She snatched the paper out of my hand and told me to sit down and she'll get someone else to help me. After 15min she called me back up to the counter and continued to be very rude and condescending. I've never been spoken to like that in a professional setting and it was very off putting. I decided I did not feel this practice was a good fit for my children so we left. Very disappointed because the practice was exactly what I was looking for. read more

Amazing Office! Talk about a wonderful staff and even more amazing Doctors. I wanted my child to see a Dentist that specializes in pediatrics. After reading their biographies online and seeing that all their Doctors are Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, I got an appointment and was welcomed by their warm front office staff and from there my Son was blown away by the colorful walls, the kid friendly atmosphere. He felt so comfortable seeing the other kids in the chairs and having a good time. They even had a section with gaming. On the way out he was offered to enter a current contest. We love Dr. Lora and her team! I took my toddler son (2 years old) for his first appointment and was very nervous because he has had a lot of recent travel vaccines and I knew he would not be happy once he saw a nurse-like figure. The office is super kid-friendly and he was quickly distracted by the toys, balloons and friendly atmosphere. Once it was his turn, we went back and the exam area felt very comfortable and casual - it didn't have a cold, office feel which really helped. I decided to pass on the cleaning since I knew he would be upset but I was determined for him to get the fluoride even if it meant kicking and screaming. He did whine but I held him and Dr. Lora was so quick and gentle that I think he was realizing it wasn't scary as she was doing it. Considering all that could go wrong with a 2 year old at a doctor appt., it went so well and I could go as far as saying it was a pleasant experience! Highly recommend! read more

This was my 18-month old's second visit and after this experience we will be finding a new dentist. First, we waited over 20 min past our scheduled time in the car. I'm support Covid policies, but I think some notice should be given if they are running behind because it is tough keeping a toddler in the car that long and by then he was already upset and crying. Also, the exam room was not very clean. All that I could get over because last time the room we were in was clean, but the dental assistant and dentist were both extremely condensing when it came to discussing my child drinking milk before bed. I explained to the dental assistant that I have tried wiping his teeth with xylitol wipes and switching to water, sleep training ect, ect. insert five more things we have tried, but so far none of these things have worked, but we will try again and it is also a priority to me. Even after we discussed it she brought it up again and told me a story of a kid whose mom wondered why the kid got so many cavities and she breastfed before bed as if I didn't think it was important or hear her the first time and told me that "as parents sometimes we need to pick our battles." I had about had it by then. I'm a NICU RN and would never talk to my patients families like that. There is a way you can come alongside and support a parent without shaming them. Clearly we are struggling with this and her sarcasm and approach were not appreciated. Then she leaves and comes back in with the dentist. The dentist proceeds to have the same conversation about the milk before bed and it just seemed like they had discussed it when she left the room. She was very pleasant and I'm sure her intentions were good, but it came across very condensing like I hadn't read all the same parenting and sleep blogs she had because she just started suggesting things without assessing what we have already tried (which was literally all of those things). Again, I told her we were working on it, but I felt a little ganged up with the two of them in there. Took my kids aged 6 and 13 here for their regular appointments. 1 needed sealants and the other needed a filling. The staff here are amazing!!! My youngest loved that while he got the sealants he was able to pick a movie and watch it to pass the time. My oldest loved that even though it's a pediatric dentist they didn't treat her like a little kid. The time went pretty fast as these ladies are great at what they do. The dental assistant even called us the next week to check up on how they were and if there were any issues from the dental services performed. Dr Jessi is amazing! We were so fortunate to be referred Rocklin Pediatric Dentistry by our child's dentist in Sacramento because they specialize in white crowns for children (which is very hard to find!). Dr. Jessica has helped to restore our 4- year old little girl's beautiful smile & confidence! We are overjoyed with their work, the staff and the kindness and care they show to children... my little one gets so excited to see the dentist now. They have balloons, stickers, movies, toys galore & a cute prize machine (her favorite). Even though we are out of network we have decided to stay with RPD. We have had our kids here since right after they first opened. Last year they informed us, with very little notice that our youngest wasn't showing up on our insurance. Our youngest had been there twice before and there was no mention of it and no bill due. They said they wouldn't do a cleaning on him until he was added, I wasn't even given the option to pay out of pocket. It was completely my husband's personnel's mistake as our youngest was on all the other insurance correctly, but his work wouldn't correct it until his next birthday. Fast forward and although we added the youngest it wasn't quite showing up, I had our insurance and personnel supervisor confirm he could have his cleaning and it would be covered. The front desk staff then argued with me about it as I was literally on the phone with the insurance, they then also wanted to bill me in advance for fees our insurance always covers for cleanings. The front desk gal, Stephanie was rude and disrespectful. We love the dentists, but we chose to immediately leave and not get any of our 4 kids teeth cleaned there. We found another pediatric dentist and are moving all 4 of our kids there. Again great dentists, but it's not worth the rude and disrespectful front desk gals to stay there. read more

Dr. Lora is the best!!! She has been seeing my son since he was an infant and barely sprouting teeth. Now, he is a little boy who understands the importance of and actually enjoys brushing and flossing....and he loves Dr. Lora. The atmosphere in the office is perfect for kids and adolescents; there are lots of fun toys and activities for the kids (even video games); and the staff are helpful and kind. There is an abundance of staff to handle all of your needs, which could be a reason they are VERY progressive about doing treatments. My 4 year old was traumatized by her experience because she doesn't like the feel of the drill and I had to lay my entire body on top of her while another staff member held her feet. I still can't believe it went that far. When they said she had more to fill, no way. Not doing that again. I brought her to my own dentist for a second opinion, and he is holding off on those couple of spots--even still, one year later. Also, I am the parent that researches what the doctor or dentist maintains is "safe". I have never felt comfortable at this practice choosing to for-go the fluoride applications. Then yesterday, they talked about doing 2 silver diamine fluoride applications on two spots on my older daughter, along with 6 fillings and Dr. Jessi sensed my hesitation. She asked me if I had any questions about it. I felt belittled by her when I told her I educate myself and I would look into the silver diamine. She then asked if flossing was something my 10 year old had "taken up recently". OK. I understand they want to do specifically what they have been taught in school and by the ADA, but... I generally read both sides of an argument and then go with my gut. Systemic fluoride (in the water) is unnecessary and dangerous and (I assume) why Rocklin doesn't have it in the water supply. And painting it on the teeth is obviously a direct application in the mouth, into the saliva, down the hatch, in the blood, to the brain--so we go without. It was all due to Dr. Lora, Tiffany, the incredible staff & great office. Everything there is geared towards kids of all ages. Everyone is very friendly & sweet. The dental care is exceptional; they explain everything to the kids in a way they can understand. Dr. Lora & Tiffany also went over home care & how things looked very well with me. Their appointment times are very convenient, the earliest one is 7am which is helpful due to the workday. I can't recommend this office enough! read more

Despite having two kids with two appointments, they would only let one parent in with both kids, leaving either 3 or 6 year old alone. I bought my grandson here for his first cleaning at 2 years old. The staff was so welcoming and attentive when I came in. Zayden was able to play with the toys they had in the waiting room. Once we were brought back to the dental chair, the staff explained everything they were going to do. I really was impressed with their practice. When we left gave gave Zayden a goodie bag which included a toothbrush, tooth paste, dental floss, a rubber ducky, bracelet and balloon. We have found our pediatric dentist. read more

I have a child with mild Autism and they changed the dental hygienist without warning, so my 4 yr old was a little off, but that wasn't the worst part. Dr. Lora did not come talk to me about the xray results, left it to the hygenist, who is not qualified to discuss diagnosis or xrays. I think they are just too busy of an office to meet individual needs. I asked for phone consultation and she did not call me back that day. I love Dr. Lora and her staff! My 3 year old son and I just went in for his second cleaning. I was completely impressed on both visits. Dr. Lora and her staff have created a wonderful, positive atmosphere for children to have their early dental experiences. The office is totally child friendly, fun, and everyone from the receptionist to Dr. Lora are great with the kids. The first cleaning they let my son lean on my lap and only did a visual check and cleaned with the rotating toothbrush. This time he sat in the chair by himself and I sat in a chair where he could see me but I was out of the way. The hygenist did all the interacting with him and I kept my mouth shut. He did great!! This time they scraped some plaque off his bottom teeth, did the cleaning, used the water suction tool and even got him to sit still for a couple x-rays. With each activity they showed him the tool ahead of time and let him touch it and explained things so he could understand before they put anything in his mouth. He got nervous and squirmy a few times but they were able to work with him and he never got upset. I cannot say enough good things about this dental practice. read more

My son is 2 yrs old and today he experienced a smooth and wonderful visit. Booking the appt was easy and I was able to do it over the phone, I accessed the forms to fill out online right after. So when we came to his appt today, I approached the front desk with his completed forms and all we did was just wait to be called. The waiting area has activities to keep you little one occupied. We waited for about 7-9 minutes before we were called back. They dental assistant cleaned my sons teeth with no issues and then came the dentist and checked out Landon's teeth and applied fluoride. His exam went well! He was able to choose a toy from their little box, shades and was given a goodie bag that was filled with a toothbrush, floss, toothpaste and information on teeth cleaning, etc. They also asked if they could give Landon a balloon but I said no thank you =). I am very happy with the service they provided and love the facility as well. I highly recommend this location to anyone with a little one!! We will be back for his 6 month check up. Rocklin pediatric dental was amazing! My 5yo son has anxiety problems when it comes to doctors. So he was pretty scared going in. Rachel brought us in and gave us a tour, then brought us to one of the treatment rooms. She sat and talked to Lucas about anything to help get him to calm down. Then showed him her toys/tools, tv, and magic chair. He eventually ended up having to stand next to me, but let her do his teeth cleaning! Then actually let them do X-rays. By the time we left he was happy, smiley, and giving hugs! I'm SO glad we found this group! And would highly recommend them!! read more

My six-year-old son was seen as an emergency patient (a "friend" at school whacked him in the mouth and knocked one of his front baby teeth completely perpendicular - like he had a little diving board sticking out of his face), and despite the gore-factor, pain and his already-very-negative opinion of dental visits, Dr. Lora and her staff had him calm, comfortable and actually feeling empowered in a pretty helpless situation in no time! They extracted the tooth and allowed my (kinda peculiar) kid to keep his little nose mask because he "likes the smell (this was more disturbing to me than the blood, freakshow tooth, bully friend, etc, as, to this former film student, he walked around the house for the next week unintentionally evoking images of Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet). I digress. The facility is extremely clean and everyone at Rocklin Pediatric Dentistry exudes friendliness and professionalism. My son left feeling proud of himself and completely free of reservations about coming back regularly. He even "refers" all of his friends and his older brother to Dr. Lora! What really won his undying loyalty, however, was the personalized, handwritten follow-up card they sent to him, congratulating him on his job well done and even including some extra stickers of his favorite character. No lie, he has this card displayed on his shelf next to his trophies, ribbons and other objects of pride! His permanent tooth is just now coming in, and it looks to be in perfect shape, and he is looking forward to his next cleaning (I told you he was peculiar...). read more

My son had an incident the day after Thanksgiving, which caused his tooth to dislodge a bit. Our dentist is in Grass Valley and the on call referred us to this office. Dr. Jessica called back really quickly was extremely nice and asked me to text her a photo. She reviewed the information and again called me back quickly with great advice. I appreciate that they got me in literally last minute before closing when my daughter fell and damaged some of her teeth. I was stressed and they were friendly and nice, competent. They were good with her and that is the only reason I gave them one star. However, being hyped on stress when I entered the office I signed all the forms and found the first paragraph of their office policies very disturbing: In bold: "We do ask that if you accompany your child you assume the role of silent observer. Your presence is greatly enhanced if you play a passive role...We also ask that siblings remain in the reception room. There may be times when a child's experience is enhanced by a parent's absence... Your child will come to the treatment area by themselves, unless arrangements have been made in advance." This is not a joke... they must be kidding. When I objected the receptionist said that they really don't even use that and they would never ask me to leave my child there. Well... why did you make me sign the forms saying I agreed to this. There are so many things wrong with that, I don't even know where to begin to comment. I have a different parenting and LIFE philosophy that directly is in opposition to this policy. read more

I wish I could give this place a zero. My daughter (4) had four cavities. My dentist recommended this place. His recommendation coupled with all the 5 star ratings on yelp gave me confidence that she would receive the care she needed. At her first appointment, I brought my son (2) because I couldn't get child care. He wasn't doing well in the room, so I took him to the waiting area so he wouldn't be a distraction. I was going back and forth to check on both children. When I walked into the room to check on my daughter, there was a heaver-set assistant pinning my crying daughter down. I was mortified. Apparently, she started to freak out when she noticed I wasn't in the room. Instead of coming to get me, they decided to pin her down to continue working on her. On the car ride home, two of the fillings fell out. We scheduled another appointment, and those fillings fell out as well. We ended up going to another three appointments because the fillings kept falling out. At the last appointment, we were told that it was okay if the fillings fell out and to not schedule another appointment if the did. Now, my daughter has two teeth with holes in them. Dealing with the front desk staff didn't go well either. The receptionist, Kim, is quite rude. She had this tone in her voice that made you feel as if you shouldn't be asking questions. She asked me for payment without knowing what I was paying for. I asked her to look it up before giving her my credit card. I would like to fill the holes in my daughters teeth, so I scheduled an appointment. During the telephone conversation to schedule the appointment, I asked about payment. It turns out that they depleted my insurance. They said I would have to pay out of pocket for one of the fillings. We haven't gone to that appointment yet, and I'm not sure we will. My daughter is now so traumatized by the dentist. Every time I say dentist, she gets anxiety and starts panicking. read more

There are 3 chairs in one big room for dental cleaning and exams. We took our 2.5 year old to see Dr. Lora. He doesn't like doctors, dentists, or really any office with a lobby that looks like a doctors office. Diana went out of her way to make our son comfortable, she brought him back to the exam area and showed him the trains so he could play next to where he would have his teeth checked. Diana told him the flouride application would just tickle his teeth and we got him to open his mouth up wide. She did a great job. Dr. Lora is equally as good with our son and we're gearing up to take our 1 year old there soon. Highly recommended! read more
