I took my twins toddler girls here and the staff made sure we were seen for all of our concerns and even ensured we had a proactive plan for their development. The dentist noticed the severity of their lip and tongue tie that both girls have. He walked me through all the possibilities of how it could develop or how we can work through it if it impacts their eating and speech. The facility itself was clean and organized. A very comfortable environment for young ones who may not like medical looking spaces. The staff was so nice, patient and willing to answer anything. Today could have easily turned into a nightmare--my son had an accident and broke both of his front teeth in half, with the nerve exposed. It was incredibly stressful and painful for him, and it happened around 3:15 PM. By 4:45 PM, we were already in the dental office being taken care of--on a day they were actually closed. The dentist and his assistant went above and beyond in every possible way. They responded immediately, opened the office just for us, and got right to work repairing his teeth and making sure he was comfortable the entire time. Their professionalism, urgency, and genuine care made all the difference in a very scary situation. Love this place! It takes us a long time to find new places but when we do we stick around. Our last place was sold and the new owners were not up to par so we couldn't go there anymore. We have been going here for years and we couldn't be happier. The entrance is full of things that kids love. A turtle, lizard, toys, and games. There is coffee for the adults and everything is super clean. The staff rotates sometimes but they all seem to have that personality that just makes you happy to be there. My wife was in the dental field so she talks with the doctors for our three littles. You should check out their no cavity board! So many pictures. You won't be disappointed. This place is amazing and totally kid centric. Our kids have had polar opposite needs. Our son has the perfect teeth and our daughter needed extensive dental work. The news of our daughter needing extensive dental work was truly heartbreaking for us with her being so young, but we were treated with compassion and lots of patience (we had a ton of questions). Even hours after the appointment I'm still in such awe about how well both my sons did because of the unbelievable care and attention they received. Shareese is like a fairy godmother!! Just absolutely amazing!! For parents with kids on spectrum, they offer unflavored toothpaste! Total game changer! Dr Candy McComb even found chipped teeth that previous dentists missed. I have been bringing our youngest child to Explorer Kids Dental since 2020 when he had a dental emergency and the general dentist we brought him to couldn't treat him successfully, so she suggested Explorer Kids Dental for the work he needed to get taken care of. Anyhow, after the last uncomfortable as well as frightening experience he had with the precious dentist, we came to EKD and they worked patiently, kindly, and lovingly with my little guy. I never hear or see a screaming child here... all the kids are treated as royalty, and provided the best care possible. We have been visiting the clinic for more than two years now, and only once were we late due to my daughter's medical clearance after her head injury. We were 10 minutes late and 5 minutes away from the clinic. Despite telling the front office staff about our delay and leaving a voicemail, we were told that they needed to cancel the appointment for my kids because they were going for lunch. It was 11:10 a.m. when I talked to her on the phone, and I picked up my other kid at school because they had the same appointment at the clinic. Because the front office canceled, we had to drive back to school. I have noticed that the front personnel is not very accommodating, and our previous check-in and check-out were not friendly to us. However, I must say that the staffs and doctors have been great to us, except for the front officer named Alissa. They're nice to others, but I felt because we're Asian! Not coming back. read more

My daughter had her first visit today and it was such a positive experience. Her first years of life were filled with lots of unpleasant doctor visits due to a disease she has so I waited for her to be a little older for the dentist. I was anticipating judgement over this but received nothing but compassion. The doctor is still a scary place for her and I wanted the dentist to be different and it was! Everyone was so friendly and kind to her and even though she didn't love everything about it, she was never frightened or upset. The office is bright and welcoming with a pet turtle and lizard to look at and TVs in the ceiling. Dr. Candy was wonderful as was the hygienist, Jessica. I brought my daughter here for her first check up. (She is currently 16 months) Everyone is very friendly at this office. My daughter is shy most of the time, but she walked up to one of dental assistants and was reaching to be picked up. I was shocked. These women are so respectful and kind. The dentist himself was very gentle with my daughter. He explained everything before, during and after her check up. My daughter did cry only because she wasn't sure what was going on. I am SO impressed with this dental office! I have a child that had a traumatic experience at her old dentist and was very fearful. Dr. Candy and the entire office was extremely patient and kind to her. They talked her through her fears and gained her trust to let them do her filling. Dr Candy made sure she was comfortable before doing any treatment. At the end she took extra time to show my child all the equipment, and how the shot would be the next time a she had to come, so she would feel more confident. My three kids visited Adventure Kids Dental today and we had a wonderful experience! We were looking for a family-run practice where we could expect some consistency in the dentists we see. Lots of awesome: -Making an appointment was super easy. Right now, since they're pretty new, they have lots of availability - including some Saturdays! -All paperwork was completed before the appointment online. Very helpful, especially when you have multiple young children. -The front office has interactive games for the children has they wait. There is bottled water, coffee and tea and a clean bathroom (it even has a changing table with diaper pail for littles). Very family-friendly! -Our previous dentist never sent the x-rays over like they said they would, and the receptionist was quick and friendly to call and sort out the issues. -Once my children began to be seen, we shifted back where there were even more toys for the kids not being seen to play with. I've never seen this at a dental office before! Usually, I feel like you have to choose to either miss one child's appointment completely to watch others play, or bring them back with you and attempt to entertain them. My kids loved "camping" and "roasting marshmallows around the fire." -When one child finished, they were given a token to redeem a prize in a gumball-like machine. My 4-year-old felt very grown-up that he got to do this all by himself. -The best part was I felt like the Dr. Jeff McComb really spent time engaging my kids in their own learning of how to keep their teeth healthy. He got down on their level and spoke using kid-friendly language. Invaluable! I don't do reviews but I had to for Explorer Kids Dental. We just moved from SoCAL & found Explorer Kids Dental from Yelp & Google reviews. I was glad when my daughter's Orthodontist also recommended them. We were blown away on how kid friendly the dental office is from the waiting area having live pets in the coffee table & vide game tables/monitors, the dental work area having plenty of screens (even a massive wall tv) for patient's/parent's to watch while (kids) getting teeth cleaned/examined, their after service treat rewards (token to choose from large selection of toy machine and sugar free lollipop), to their next appointment photo magnet reminder. That's just the physical aspect of it. My girls were so pleased with their visit from the moment we got into the waiting area seeing all the fun things for kids to checking out. My eldest wanted a 2nd lollipop when leaving & I love the response the Office Lead gave that a 2nd would hurt her tummy from too much vitamins in the lollipop. She also knew that when we checked in that I didn't want them to have too much sugar since they spotted the lollipops when we 1st got there. The staff are super great from the receptionist/Office Lead, dental technicians and the Dentist himself, Dr. McComb. All the staff were so genuinely nice, friendly, attentive, & caring. It wasn't just them being nice to us as new patients, but I saw that's how they were to return customers as well. This place is phenomenal. Upon entering, the front desk staff was so inviting, engaging and greeted our son by his first name. The dentist and assistant made him so comfortable by letting him hold all the tools, explaining their purpose, allowing him to press buttons, and validated all his emotions of being shy/nervous.
