A-1 is more discounted, but you also get what you pay for. Don't expect a premium place, but if you are just looking to hit a few balls for a few minutes, this place is great. It's close to where my wife and kids get their hair cut, so if we are in the area, I like to stop by for 15 minutes so my son can take some swings. They have different speed cages, and only accept cash. Fellow working there is nice enough, but by no means is he overly friendly. This is a bare bones establishment, and if that is what you are looking for (as I was) it is perfect! I'll be back again when I'm in the area, but don't think I'll make the drive from Glendale. If anyone wants to open a similar place in the La Canada / La Crescenta area, i really think it would be a money maker! contact me and i'll invest!

A group of us had our kids attend the baseball and softball camps they offered…read more Softball was cheaper ($60/day) and ran for 4 hours. It seemed to be more organized than Baseball camp. The coaches had the girls on a good pace with running drills. Baseball camp was 4.5 hours, cost more ($80/day) and did less. There was more down time than expected. Between snack time and lunch time, the kids were either sitting around, goofing off, or playing dodgeball. I didn't really observe much baseball exercises. When I did see some hitting exercises, the coaches never critiqued or complimented any child at bat. With pitching, the coach did give some advice, though. I'm not sure if this is how their camps usually run, but we won't be returning. Some positives about this place? It's indoors and there's a makeshift waiting area. The coaches are nice and very chill. I'm sure this place is great. I read some of the reviews. Sadly, we didn't have the same experience.

The staff is amazing and will always work with you if you have a different time need then is available on the website. Just like white glove service at a batting cage at discount prices. Large area to practice on a tee or some ground balls while you wait for your turn, or if you bring the little league team space to get everyone locked in. I usually try to make my reviews funny or quipped but I'm beat. Every year I take my nieces team to the cage for one practice. Every year it's worth it. I will be a customer here for the next 10 years or so at least.

My friend and I decided to stop by at this batting cage for a quick source of stress relief and…read morefun. The facility itself was pretty small and it was completely empty but wasn't able to use the automatic feeding cage since it had reservations, which was fine. Since the manual feeding cage was our only option, we decided on that option for 30 mins. The manual feeding option was $30 for 30 minutes which I thought was a little expensive but this place had good reviews so we decided to give it a try. So, the guy helped us to set up the projectile machine and showed us how to feed the softballs manually. For the first 3 minutes, everything seemed fine until almost 70% of the softballs were projected straight to the floor. As a result, the softballs ran out pretty quickly and had to spend time picking them up again pretty often. Since it was projecting to the floor too much, we asked the guy if he can readjust the projection angle. He ended up increasing the speed and adjusting the angle a bit more upward. As I was feeding the softballs manually for my friend, I noticed that the projectile feeder machine motor could not stand the speed changes and started to rattle and move side to side causing inconsistent throws which lowkey turned into a dodgeball session and also caused my friend getting hit. Overall, poor maintenance of equipments and poor handling of the situation from the staff. If you decide to come here, I do not recommend the manual feeding option.

Coach Adrian and his team are passionate about the game and go above and beyond for their players. His expertise definitely lies in pitching. Many successful high school athletes have trained with him, and it has shown on the field. Our son is currently on his 14U team and taking pitching lessons. We have seen huge growth! His mechanics have improved, and his speed has increased by 15 mph at the age of 13! This seemed impossible after years of spending money with other programs. Travel ball fees and pitching lessons are extremely affordable and worth the price. If you are new to travel ball, this is a great place to start. These prices are definitely hard to come by. The long practices, prices, and positive relationships are all worth it. As a parent who is fairly new to travel ball (4 years) with a son who started later in the game, ZPP has been a place where our son has developed physically, emotionally, and on the field. He is more confident in his abilities.

Great water polo club! My son joined about a year and a half ago. I wasn't familiar with the sport…read moreprior to this but his friend was a member so he wanted to try it too. Since then, I've become a fan of the sport and this club in particular. The club has teams for different age groups and different skill levels, from young beginning swimmers (5-10) who they teach how to swim properly and turn them into strong swimmers, to competitive age bracketed water polo travel teams (8-15) who compete with teams around California and the country. Players get a lot of instruction time! They work out practice four nights a week! Its like a combined gym membership and water polo instruction. The amount of exercise he became capable of doing was a radical transformation. He is now in the best shape of his life as a result and it has not only helped him physically but the discipline they teach has carried over into other aspects of his life as well. The club has excellent experienced coaches and a low coach/athlete ratio. The kids are taught to push themselves, do their best, and to play ethically. In addition to the physical conditioning which is a big part of the sport, the kids are taught the skills to play the sport and you see huge differences in the kids who come in as novices and apply themselves for a year. The thing I liked most about this club is that the coaches are tough but really seem to care about the kids and helping them get better. They expect a lot from the kids but really help them develop mental and physical strength. From what I can tell, their fees are below many other comparable clubs and they either offer the same, or more services. They are part of the California Coastal League and play teams from as far away as Bakersfield and Oxnard to Riverside during the regular season and from all over California in postseason. My son's team was able to finish in the top 5 teams in the USA at the Junior Olympics in 2015 and this was largely due to the great coaching and development they had through the year. Depending on the specific team, they hold their practices at pool facilities around the Mid San Gabriel Valley area (Temple City, Rosemead, Arcadia, El Monte, etc) Experienced or a beginner, this is a good place to grow and learn. I've had such a great experience here I've signed my five year old's up in their Splashball/Swim School program to improve their swimming skills with the aim of having them be able to play water polo competitively when they are a couple of years older. Starting early makes big difference.
