The coaches had the girls on a good pace with running drills. Baseball camp was 4.5 hours, cost more ($80/day) and did less. There was more down time than expected. Between snack time and lunch time, the kids were either sitting around, goofing off, or playing dodgeball. I didn't really observe much baseball exercises. When I did see some hitting exercises, the coaches never critiqued or complimented any child at bat. With pitching, the coach did give some advice, though. I'm not sure if this is how their camps usually run, but we won't be returning. Some positives about this place? It's indoors and there's a makeshift waiting area. The coaches are nice and very chill. I'm sure this place is great. I read some of the reviews. Sadly, we didn't have the same experience.

Unfortunately, the league itself left a lot to be desired from an organizational standpoint. At closing ceremonies, a couple of players on our team were not given their trophies. Not only did their families pay for them, but these young players also had to stand empty-handed while their teammates proudly celebrated with their hard-earned trophies and took photos. I completely understand that mistakes happen, and things can fall through the cracks. However, since the spring season ended, both parents and coaches have reached out multiple times and have received little more than "we'll look into it." One staff member even joked, "Just tell him to take someone else's," which was especially disappointing. I'm sure this isn't the experience Whittier Pony intends to provide, especially for young players during their very first season of baseball. I hope they improve their communication and follow-through, because every child deserves to feel recognized for their season.

Both my brothers played ball all the way up to Pony. I even played t ball with this league. The coaches are amazing and their President Tony is amazing. Tony being president makes this league what it is. Its all volunteer work and I have always seen him put in so much time here. He shows great leadership and care for the kids. Tony is awesome and this league is lucky to have him! They put a Champions team together which is absolutely amazing to watch. These kids are able to get out there and play for fun and work with parents are coaches in the field who truly care to help. They also always put on events to help raise money which are a blast. They have done cosmic bowling, casino night theme party, and have teams put great baskets together to auction off. The people involved are in a great environment for their kids to learn ball and learn manners. This is a great league to start your kids off if you are looking for a baseball league to help teach your kids the basics all the way up to high school.

They won't babysit you, go above and beyond to help, or teach you how to bat. If you need cages to take your little leaguer, club baseball, or high school athlete; look no further. Call ahead of time and ask for time slots and speed you want. They have baseball and softball size balls. It's clean as can be for a sport predominantly played outside. We were told we couldn't play with cleats which was all we had. We requested a refund since we couldn't play anymore. The employee then refused to give us a refund and then bribe us to pay him $20 to allow us to play. We paid him via Zelle since it was are only choice. The employee was very unprofessional. He wasted our time going back and forth with us about the situation and didn't want to reimburse us the time he made us waste.

The turf seems well maintained in my opinion and the kids had a great time. We played on field#3 and like that the session is recorded, which you can review the games/play. They also raised an alleged issue involving my daughters fighting in class, despite never previously discussing it with me. Our membership was terminated, and our accrued credits were taken away. I found out he doesn't even work for LA Fitness, he is subcontracted through Waterworks Aquatics. He basically called me a liar twice, I told him I was a journalist, while obeying his orders. He still summoned the manager Sandra, and her assistant Alex whom were extremely professional, and spoke with us, and laughed, and even sang part of a song with us. His rudeness prompted me to start writing a news report on him, which will be interesting to say the least! Brand integration is vital, yet vulnerable! He tarnishes the Brand that is LA Fitness, and should not be representing them in that manner. Look for my report!
