I was at the park yesterday playing some kickball with some friends when they wandered off to the batting cages when we took a brief break. They came back and said why don't I go and give it a try so I did. For $5 you get to hit for 3 minutes. I hadn't gone to a batting cage in a very long time so I gave it a try. Well now I regret it because I got bugs in my hair and it's been itching. I don't know how to get rid of it atm. I hope my doctor is not on vacation and will be able to determine what's going on up there. They provide you a helmet and a bat. I went with the softball since the ball would probably come out slower and I'd be able to hit it. I missed it the first two times then afterwards it was home runs and singles until it was over. It would be a better experience if I had my own helmet to wear. read more

We were looking for an activity after dinner so we came across this place. And so glad we did. Let me add we are not in any sports, and by we I mean my husband and son and myself. We just like trying new things. And the more activities away from the couch and video games the better. The guy running the place was very helpful and patient. He took my reservation over the phone and answered all my dumb questions. I had no clue what I was doing, what bar I needed, what helmet size, nothing and he was very helpful. I've been to this park several times and had never seen batting cages. Turns out they are tucked in the back near the barn yard! My boyfriend comes here frequently and had recommended it. I figured there would be a long wait since the park was packed on a Friday night. There was no line and we got it to ourselves. They have 5 cages for different speeds and they also provide bats and helmets. I would recommend bringing along batting gloves. They sell slots of time in 15 minute increments I believe. I had fun! When I called to inquire about the fastpitch speed and details I was put on speaker with two males talking over each other and myself to attempt to answer my questions. Not super expensive but not really that cheap either. It's sometimes hard to position yourself as where you'll get a majority of pitches in the strike zone. The equipment they have to rent is not great, but at least it's free. However, if you bring your own equipment it can be a neat place to get some swings in. It's mostly hassle free, aside from the occasional wait. But there are seats there in case you do need to, or if you brought someone with you that has to wait for you. This place $ucks!!!! 1) the services was not friendly 2) the cages themselves are out dated and un kept 3) you only get 6 pitches for $0.50 and sometimes the machine doesn't pick up the ball so you are A$$ out 4) the pitching machines are wack... they do not pitch aligned... i had to keep shifting ... let me tell you... i got no really practice out of them... 5) Diamonds in Santa Fe Springs give you 10 pitches for $0.50, the place is nicer and the ppl are a bit nicer.... If I can leave negative stars I would. So expensive and the 60 mph fastpitch must've been throwing 40. Not to mention it kept getting stuck which took about most of our time ... absolutely horrible and will not be going back. read more

Was excited to hit the batting cages on a Tuesday afternoon but wouldn't return to this location. The prices aren't to bad $12 for 15mins, gives you a good amount of pitches & you are also provided with a helmet and bat. Although it isn't the nicest, it's still a fun set up. The service was very bad from the only guy there. Almost poking my bfs eye out when handing him the bat with no warning and then not letting me know when he was going to start the pitches causing myself to get hit. so s/o to him for being a rude employee and for this bruise on my thigh. Seems like a chill job with no work so idk why he was so rude. read more

Went with my sister for some bonding time. We really enjoyed ourselves. It's affordable and you get to bat for a good amount of time. They provide a bat and helmet for you and you can choose the ball and speed. There wasn't someone hovering over you constantly either which was nice. Only 4 lanes, 3 for baseball, 1 for softball. Was there after work to check it out. Not crowded when I was there but there were little league games going on. I was there to hit some softballs. Saw the cage and thought it was looking good as I liked how it was setup with high ceiling netting. Been to other places like Homerun Park where the softballs skim the netting at the top but no such problem here. Went up to go pay. They had no change so I ended up paying for 15 minutes worth ($10). I knew from the first 3 pitches that this was no good. The majority (75%+) of the balls came up short and left of the plate by a COUPLE FEET. I ended up doing Happy Gilmoure walk up to the pitch swings since it varied where the pitch went. Ended up getting a blister trying to reach for balls ending up really low and inside. My bat hit the netting behind me most of the time since the balls came so inside on me. There was a big hole in the netting where my bat usually hit which tells me that this is a common problem here. Ended up swinging left-handed just so I can hit the ball without trying to stop my swing so I don't hit the netting. Bottom line. Cages are set up well with high ceiling but the pitching machine either needs to be replaced or better calibrated. read more

lame lame lame the machines constantly throw pitches in the dirt by 1-2 feet, great. also the machine runs out of balls and I have to wait for the guy to refill it, while my time ticks away, great the rental bats are wrapped with tape from 1969 and I'm pretty sure that's my same blood on their from the last time that piece of crap gave me blisters parking is ok but you still a trek across the dog-poo filled grassy knoll, great I've been a few times to be fair, each time sucked.
