Rockstar Kickboxing is a game changer!! For years I have unhappy with my physical strength (or lack of it!) resulting in chronic neck, back and knee pain. I will be 40 in July and promised myself that I wasn't going to spend another decade feeling this unsatisfied...but actually changing felt more overwhelming than the pain in my neck! Fitness has always been a constant battle in my life. I believed if I ate somewhat healthy I could manage looking and feeling the way I wanted to be. However, that way of thinking never worked. Last year I tried a keto diet to help me loose the weight I wanted to shed off. Believe it or not it worked. Once I reached my goal weight I told myself I was "happy" with eating protein shakes for breakfast and a protein bars for lunch and then some type of meat and vegetable for dinner. At that point I realized I was sick of this routine not actually healthy and missed the foods that I loved. (Insert months of eating all the unhealthy foods that I loved). On January 19, 2019 I decided I was not happy again with how I looked and my attitude towards fitness was nonexistent. So without hesitation I knew I needed to make a healthy and long term commitment to myself. So I signed my sister and myself up for kickboxing to start a new fitness journey to help physically and mentally get back on track. 3 months later, and I have lost weight, lost inches, gained a support system, been welcomed into an incredible fitness family, and retaught myself what self care, self love, and self determination really means. I eat clean, I meal prep, and I workout to not just look good but because I deserve it. @rockstarkickboxing has taught me so much about myself and continues to push me everyday to be a better athlete and overall good human being. So I completed my six week challenge and I can't tell you how amazed I am. This has been and is continuing to be one of the best decisions I have made. I've only lived on the east coast for 9 months and I have had a hard time connecting with people. I've made friends. I've found a community of like minded women who are goal oriented. The instructors are phenomenal. They will keep you accountable and encouraged. Ed and the ladies have created a contagiously positive environment! I love coming here and dread when I am not around. Now for more wins I lost 15lbs in six weeks. 15lbs!! I have so much more energy. I feel great. I'm not sick after eating out all week. I eat healthier and save money and time doing so. I'm motivated! I have a more positive attitude. I've been able to sleep! I love waking up at 5 am to get to the 6:30am class. This is my happy place. Thank you Ed, Kerri, and Sam for all you do. Have you ever walked into a gym & have been welcomed on a first name basis by all the staff? Yeah, me either.. that is, until I join this gem of a clan! I won't dare call them a gym, because they're so much more than that. Besides being an all female kickboxing joint, they also make you feel welcomed and motivated- & not just another membership. You feel valued before, during, after class & throughout the week- without showing up. Now, as for the class it's self- it's a total body, sweat saturating shirt, great time! The class flies by. There are women of every different age & size within each class. Everyone in class- including instructors, want you to succeed! The instructors take their time to ensure you're using proper body mechanics & will help with any modifications if you need (I have neck issues- so this greatly helps!). I have been going to Rockstar kickboxing for the past 5 years, I have 6 kids and a very busy schedule... but Rockstar Kickboxing has always been there for me. Even when I get caught up in my busy life.. they are always there encouraging me and motivating me to get back in there and do me! The environment is full of positive energy, nonjudgmental staff and friends, times that are accommodating, and the best part is ... the workouts are so thorough and kickass. When I walk out of there my entire body hurts .... and I know I have worked out every muscle group in my body from that 45 min workout! It's amazing! Rockstar kickboxing has helped me get the most out of the limited time I have at the gym! I can literally feel the rush of endorphins. Thank you for holding me accountable, and getting maximum results in minimal time while having fun. Have never sweat this much in my life. I'm a mother of 4 sometimes 6 kids, run a business as well and they have worked with my schedule and time to make it happen for me. The facility is superbly clean ... bags, equipment's, mats, bathroom are all disinfected between use. The staff are the most uplifting, strong, caring leaders/teachers I have ever encountered at a gym. Rockstar Kickboxing in Miller Place has changed my life. Lyndsey, one of the coaches, recruited me in and now I'm hooked! I started February 2019 and I've lost about 18 pounds and over 10 inches off my body. The coaches are amazing and help everyone in class crush their goals. I started going to RKB in July and let me tell you this place is a GOD SENT!! The coaches there are ABSOLUTE dolls they are such wonderful souls!! walking in those doors is a whole different experience. No matter what kind of a day you are having it only gets better walking out of this magical place. I was always very uncomfortable and unhappy with the way I looked but honestly this place has taught me that my body is so much more than what it seems on the out side. I Clicked on a Facebook ad a little over 6 weeks ago, and got wayyyyyy more than I bargained for! I knew I needed something, what I NEEDED was Rockstar Kickboxing ! AMAZING GYM! AMAZING WORKOUTS! AMAZING COACHES ! today was my 7th class and I absolutely love it ! The coaches are really awesome and helpful, they make you feel really comfortable. They know how to push you to the limit in the best way possible and will give you modifications if you need them. Equipment is always sanitized, kept clean and in great condition.The vibe in this gym is great and ALWAYS a ton of fun! such a positive and energetic and fun place to go.
