I called Erik at RockStarz and asked if there was any way to provide a car or bus with less than 45 minutes notice. Not only did he call multiple services for me and pull strings but he was able to do it within our time frame! He truly saved the wedding day and we could not be more thankful!! I wanted to share my disappointing experience with this company in hopes of preventing this experience from happening to anyone else. It's a bit of a long story but I encourage you to read it before booking any appointments with this company! I booked a party bus for 8 hours for my friend's Bachelorette party between the hours of 11 AM and 7 PM. We purchased tickets to an event that ran from Noon - 4 PM, with plans to be on the bus for an hour before the event due to the event being located somewhere around 45 minutes away. I've had my fair share of limo/party bus experiences over the years and have always had them (no matter what company was used) show up about 10-15 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. Nearly 10 minutes after the scheduled pickup time of 11 AM, the bus still hadn't arrived, and I wasn't contacted regarding any issues with the appointment. Since we were concerned about the schedule we were on, I called the phone number I had received in my email and no one answered. I left a voicemail and continued to call. Eventually I was able to speak to Amy who said she would call the driver and get back to me. Twenty minutes later I still had not heard from Amy or received any updates, so I called her numerous times and left more voicemails. Eventually, she finally called me back and said our party bus encountered mechanical issues, and that she could have a bus out to us in about an hour and a half. At this point we were already behind schedule and would be late to our event, so we had to find another way to get a ride, ultimately having to rely on other friends to drive us (Ubers and Lyfts hardly service our area, so finding multiple drivers wasn't a possibility) . I kept thinking to myself, though, how would I have not been notified that there were mechanical issues with our bus as soon as they knew? Why did it take a phone call from me to get that information? There seemed to be no sense of urgency or care to get us to our destination. We hired a company for a service, and they failed to deliver on those services. We decided to rent the bus for numerous reasons, mainly for convenience, and it was nothing but an inconvenience, and no one seemed to care. We had purchased drinks and decorations for the bus, which all went unused. A day that should have been fun and memorable for the bachelorette, is now a story of how so many things went wrong. I was able to get an agreement to pick us up once the event was over, thinking they were trying to make things right, however, I was told that for 3/8 hours that I had scheduled, they were going to still charge me alittle over half the cost for the full 8 hours. This made no sense to me since they not only failed on their end to pick us up or notify us of any issues/delays, but they were also only providing less than half the original hours that were in our agreement. After multiple phones calls, time, and frustration on my end I did get them to lower the price to just under half the original cost for the initial 8 hours. It was clear that they didn't care that they failed to provide a quality service to us. A company in the service industry should be well aware of their failures and try to make things right, but this company had a lot of pride and zero sympathy. I sent an email on Monday asking for the owner to call me, and unfortunately never received a response, so I sent another email on Tuesday. The owner, Eric, finally called me later that day. He said he thought his employees over the weekend handled themselves correctly, not admitting any communication failures even after I reminded him that no one contacted me to tell me about any mechanical issues with the bus. To my surprise he was not very apologetic and really didn't care to do anything to make the situation right. I told him I didn't believe the price they charged for 3 hours was fair for all that we went through, and his response was, "You're going to blast us on the internet so what's the point in giving you any amount of money back? No matter what I give back you'll still blast us." He said someone had already left him a bad review, so he wasn't willing to do anything for us. You can see that my experience was very stressful and frustrating, and that they are not in the business for providing a quality experience for their customer. There are so many vendors that you can use for a limo or bus - I recommend you look elsewhere! The one good thing I can say about our experience with our driver, John. The company supplies no leniency or care regarding covid-19 related issues. We booked a bus and had it for January 3rd. Following the christmas holiday, a large portion of our group contracted covid, which was forcing us to try to reschedule. I paid for a 5 hour trip(including cost of extended time). The total was $1,250.00. I contacted the company to try and reschedule, they immediately told me that they could not reschedule. They charged my card within hours for the full amount of the rental including the extra booked time of the bus 4 days before the bus was booked when I only asked to reschedule. I wouldn't recommend booking this company. If you have any covid related issues come up (which everyone is these days) you will be charged the entire amount of the bus rental including any ancillary costs. read more

Their party buses are trash. Our driver was very rude, disrespectful, and dangerous. Her driving skills are below subpar, she sped up very quick before anyone could sit down causing the bride to almost face plant a few times. I didn't even drink and her driving made me nauseous. When she dropped us off at the church, she littered on church grounds and while she was spilling the drinks out, she chucked two of them at two of the bridesmaids. She then ended it off with yelling out "I hope I never have to drive you people again!" If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

I called for a quote for a limo for 18-20 people. I was told a price of 695, and a $35 charge for gas. Once the limo arrived, she told us the limo was 795 (without the tip). This was a shock to us, because we were never told about the difference once we made the deposit for the limo. If I was informed about the difference, I would have found a difference service to rent from. The only thing great about this service is the limo was nice and clean. Other than that, there is a severe lack of communication with pricing between the worker and the client. *this is for the Eric who commented on my review: my friend Cameron ordered the limo off of his account Bc he was able to use his card to put a deposit down. But I made calls around different services to help him out, because he was working. It was Cadillac white stretch limo which fit 18-20 people. read more

Charged extra money for the drivers mistake. So, our limo took the longest way possible. We had a route from our house to a hotel in Ann Arbor (surprising my wife for our anniversary) and the driver took back roads for the majority of our route which caused an extra hour charge. This extra hour was charged as overtime which was an extra $200. The driver had no reason to take the normal route (no accidents or constriction) which was the freeway. I called Rockstatz to tell them the issue and they hung up on me and won't answer my calls now. I would not tell my worst enemy to use this company. Nobody deserves this service. read more

This was by far the worse experience I've ever had with a company. We're pretty cool, go with the flow kind of people and I never write bad reviews but I hope my review saves someone else's experience. We rented a Vader bus for my daughters 11th birthday. When they showed up, it was a work van with no privacy. I had a bunch of little girls in this bus with no privacy from the driver. It completely ruined the whole night. They said the party bus I rented wasn't working upon arrival, and didn't even give me a heads up ahead of time. We had no choice but to take this bus because I had 12 girls to get to our reservation on time. When we got to the restaurant, my husband spent his time there calling other companies to see if we can get an actual party bus home instead of spending time enjoying his night with his daughter. We ended up paying ANOTHER company to pick us up and take us home on top of already paying for this bus aka work van. I would never recommend this company. It's really sad that I have to write a review to hurt someone's business but it's not okay to ruin someone's night when they're willing to spend around $900 for transportation. At least be an ethical business! However, this was so wrong on so many levels, especially when the clientele were a bunch of little girls, not adults. read more

They took the wedding party around for photos and then shuttled guests to and from the hotels (2 hotels downtown to and from Belle Isle). Terrible experience and the owner Erik was rude and unprofessiona! This was booked for over $1400 for a hour ride back and forth to Soaring Eagle Casino for a bridal party of women of all ages. That day it was so HOT! as we entered the bus that was also different than the one promised we noticed it was hot inside! Driver apologized and stated air was not working, We made the best of it as we had no choice but it was miserable! The windows were fogged up from the intense heat and one passenger began to feel sick from the extreme heat inside. The owner Erik was contacted and he offered a shuttle to the airport for the day of wedding saying it was a $450 value but we would all have to pay the $450 coming back?? Then he said "we had a good time and it must have been the drinking"?? Then offered $100 rebate and said he did not care about bad reviews as he had plenty of good ones! Worse company ever, worse bus ever and terrible owner. Beware renting anything here! read more

DO NOT use this service as your transportation vendor! Erik sold us on the fact that he was getting a new upgraded bus and that he would truly take care of us and we bought it. A few months before the wedding I asked to see the new bus and it wasn't available yet. So a couple of weeks before the wedding, I called to confirm everything, including the new bus and he already booked the new bus to someone else, that was strike 1 for me. He was also very rude to me and tried blaming me for the miscommunication. A week before the wedding, I sent all of the necessary stops and information as instructed, it was VERY clear as to where we needed to be and when. The day of the wedding the driver did show up on time to pick myself and the girls up however he was pushy to get the final payment for the bus. I specifically asked him if he knew where he was going when he dropped us off at the church because my fiance and the groomsmen were at a different location then where we were, he confirmed that he had the itinerary. HE WENT TO THE SAME LOCATION WHERE THE GIRLS WERE and waiting there for 15 min. Our guests were waiting for over 45 min before the groom and groomsman showed up! The ceremony started almost an HOUR late and the driver had the audacity to make my fiance pay the balance BEFORE the already late running ceremony. He completely threw off our entire day, it was a disaster. ALSO - on top of this the shuttle we used for our guests to and from the hotel was also terrible. They were waiting for over an hour for the shuttle to return to pick them up and the reception location was only 5 miles away. Seriously STAY AWAY from this vendor if you want to be on time. I was extremely disappointed and they are NOT cheap, we wasted $1500 on poor service and putting our guests at risk along with completely throwing off the timing of our entire day. read more

Eric, the owner, is very nice and easy to work with but the practical issues of the actual transportation outweighed this positive aspect. I wanted a party bus to drive my husband's 50th birthday party to the Beer Fest at Eastern Market. Eric allowed me to see the vehicle prior to the event. It looked clean and pretty cool. Unfortunately I didn't ask about maintenance. Our ride was worse than a ride in a school bus. It was incredibly bumpy. In addition, the heating and cooling was not working properly. We were either freezing or sweating. There was no happy medium. What disappointed me most was the fact that our driver got lost traveling from Dearborn to Eastern Market. She kept saying the GPS was right but we were on Telegraph but ended up on Dix headed the wrong way. My guests all noted that it she was lost and that it should have taken 30 minutes (max) from Dearborn to Detroit. Instead it took an hour. The driver, Stephanie was very nice, but she should have been more familiar with the route since we told Eric our plans in advance. The company contract has you pay a 20% tip. A deposit is made and the balance is due when the driver arrives. I signed for 5 hours with an added charge of 85 for additional hours. If we hadn't gotten lost, I don't think the additional hour would have been necessary. Ok if you don't want a comfortable ride and are not in a hurry. read more

Had the most excellent experience with Erik (runs the show) and Pam (runs the bus) for my friend's bachelor party that I organized. Starting off with the initial communications with Erik for planning I already had a good feeling that everything would go smoothly. The same day that we spoke on the phone he emailed me the contract documents and we were good to go. We were upgraded from a stretch limo to the full party bus free of charge because it became available (R.I.P. wedding that didn't happen for somebody), but hey, worked out for us in the end! In regards to how the ride went, had the bus on a Saturday from 8pm-2am going all over Detroit and then back home to Plymouth, all without a hitch. Our driver was even able to get us through a police-blocked road to get us to one of our destinations (Pam, you are an excellent negotiator!). 15 minutes before we needed to leave each bar our driver would send us a text to give us some warning to make it back to the bus (very helpful considering the deleterious effects that alcohol has on knowing what time it is...). I'd highly recommend these guys to anyone planning a party for a rowdy bunch of guys (or girls for that matter). ROCKSTARZ was everything we needed in a shuttle for our wedding guests. Erik and Amy were professional, friendly, and easy to work with. The bus was clean and spacious, and the driver did a great job. We will never regret investing in a safe ride to and from our wedding to ensure our guests wouldn't risk drinking and driving. It was also nice that our out of town guests didn't have to bother renting a car or trying their luck getting an Uber or Lyft. reserved a limo (originally wanted a bus - but not available) for my husbands 50th birthday -- the limo radio didn't work --- very small for a party of 10 -- we were late to our destination 15+min --- when leaving our venu to return to our home, our party had to stop for the restroom (there is a $300 fee for bodily fluids in the limo) -- unfortunately Rockstar Limo is not sensitive to situations that may arise --- very unprofessional and very costly....!!!!! We booked Rockstarz Limo for our wedding party on September 9 and we booked their 25 person party bus. The day of our event we were picked up by a party bus from a DIFFERENT company and a bus smaller than what we toured and reserved. I called Erik and left him a voice mail and he never bothered to return my call. And to this day over a week later I have not heard from him or anyone else at Rockstarz. The driver was also 25 minutes late picking up the second group of people, which we found out wasn't the drivers fault it was the office staff that added a zero onto the address given to them. But when the woman repeated the address back to me on the phone never said a zero in the address. The bus that showed up was older, smaller, and dirty (crumbs and food on seats when it arrived). We reserved a 25 person bus and the one that showed up was for only 20 people. We had 18 adults and 2 younger ones on the bus and even that was a tight squeeze. Simply put we did not get what we paid for. I would never recommend using this company. You probably won't even get them to show up for your event; they will sub out the service to someone else without even telling you. The last issue we had that day was that according to our contract from Rockstarz we owed $575 plus a 20% tip for the driver. According to the driver the 20% was the driver fee that the company takes and not a tip for him. Unfortunately for the driver we took out the exact amount we owed plus what we thought was a tip and no more cash... It was a horrible experience all the way around. read more

Spoke with the owner Eric about renting a limo for prom. He quoted me a rate of $525. I confirmed with him a few hours later that I wanted to book the limo and he could send over the contract. When I received the contract the next morning, there was an additional $120 driver fee added to the quote. I told Eric that he never advised me of this additional fee and that he quoted $525 for 6 hours. Eric stated that the $525 was just for the vehicle and did not include the driver. What exactly would we do with a car and no driver? This is a very shady business practice and I would not recommend using this company. read more
