BUYER BEWARE ..Be warned... these guys are smooth talking and really helpful in the beginning they…read moreseem nice and are so willing to help you, and if you are here you are in a desperate situation and not really able to get help anywhere else. So If this is your last option do what you have to do and get the car. However if you are looking for a stepping stone to a newer vehicle or building credit back STAY AWAY. This is one of the worst and highest cost PAY FOR CREDIT I have seen, or ever experienced. I would say it is definitely borderline if not fully predatory. I was in that situation and they got me a car. I said yes to everything, they seemed like they really cared. I just needed a vehicle . It's my fault for not reading, it only took me 3 months to be in a position to go to a real lot or bank and get financed. They got me a 25% interest rate, and a car they are valuing at 7k I currently owe 15k on it. I mean that's harsh. I make a weekly payment of $127 and they charge me $3 to pay it. They promised all of these extras and services and I can't seem to get any follow thru there. The car has several issues that will eventually need to be fixed, so now I'm paying twice and will eventually be pouring money into it. They promise this golden goose where you have to pay 2/3 of the loan and they give you the keys to the kingdom and let you go to the real Teton auto and get a nice car at what they imply is a more normal price and financing. Has anyone done this? I don't even know if that's a real thing. They are expecting you to default and or pay interest with no questions because you need a car as long as possible, bread and butter predators taking advantage of people in hard situations. Again, yes I'm in this because of my choice, they gave me the papers to read, I signed, I said okay and I drove away. I don't blame them for me doing that and accepting it when I was desperate. However that doesn't make it right. Lastly, my reason to finally post this was that I emailed to ask several questions to the person who sold and set up financing for me. This employee emails me every few weeks to check in and to hustle for referrals as if it is some sort of mlm campaign. This is the only person I dealt with, he showed the cars, test drove them with me, brought me and had me sign offers. However the minute I questioned the deal and asked to see my options now that I'm in a better place, I was completely dismissed and told to go talk to someone else. Didn't say who, or how to get ahold or offer ideas or even seem like he would appreciate looking at more business. Question their tactics and show that you understand the hustle and want to get out when your ahead and you realize quick, they don't like, or care about your purchase or your credit building, or restarting, they are sharks out to get that coin, Buyer Beware! There are several other companies locally that are way better and don't completely try to hustle you while you rebuild or get out of a negative situation. Feel free to contact me for more information. This full review is cross posted in it's entirety to multiple revue sites, not paid, commissioned, nor encouraged. I am a recent customer, never missed or late on a payment, and at no risk of doing such. I'm just appalled at the treatment after signing. I thought this was a place to build and bring continued business. I was wrong.

Variable Pricing is the new way to describe Bait & Switch. New name, same old con…read more Used car dealers and salesmen have a reputation, and it's for a good reason. Overland West Car sales (DBA Hertz Car Sales), salesman Eric, and manager Cody, fit the reputation to a T. They demonstrate an alarming lack of integrity. Further, they are now armed with the modern iteration of the good old Bait & Switch. Today they call it Variable Pricing, a situation wherein prices can go up or down (UP, who are we kidding) on a minute by minute basis based on demand. Guess what, if you show interest in a car, the car is in demand. From Overland West I received 4 progressively higher prices, in writing, over a 36 hour period. The biggest price escalation came after I informed them I had sold my existing vehicle. If any dealership or salesman demonstrates this much dishonesty, you need to question and verify anything they have said concerning the condition of the vehicle, the deal, financing, and every other aspect of the transaction. Salesman Eric seems to follow the 33% rule. Talk about your own experience, integrity, and honesty 33% of the time. Talk about the incredible integrity and business honor of the dealership 33% of the time. And finally, talk about the car, the very best example of a nearly perfect used car 33% of the time. If the customer balks at any point, give them the old..."You want to talk to my manager?" They can also read a customer. Type of car = luxury, the mark has disposable income - so jack up the price. Payment type = cash or cash & trade, the mark can afford more, so jack up the price. Already sold their vehicle = the mark really needs to make a deal, jack the price yet again. Fortunately, I was not desperate to purchase, and I was willing and able to walk away from the Overland West BS. It turns out I looked a little harder, and a little further, and got a factory certified vehicle with 3 year Bumper to Bumper warranty for just a few hundred more than the final price I was quoted. My recommendation...verify everything, and if you smell a rat - walk away. You want to be the one who got away.

From the start I just had a weird feeling about hertz. With in days of first visiting the lot the manager emailed me, which was entirely irritating and unnecessary. As my time with my rental car was running out I decided to go back to hertz to see if they had anything that I was interested in. All the cars I had seen online had been sold the day before or were in another state. Terry and I decided to run my credit to see what I would be able to afford before bringing a car in from out of state. We were looking at a $19,000 car. Terry came back and told me I would need 15,000 down according to the one credit Union that accepted my application. Something was clearly wrong and an hour later I was at Kia buying a brand new 2023 soul with $4000 down at a $300 monthly payment. I really do like terry as a person, and I wished he worked anywhere but here. I called him after Kia approved me, and he agreed something was wrong for them to need 75% down on a car and said he would investigate it. I haven't heard from him again but I don't entirely expect to, but don't trust their finance options and shop around and try getting financed elsewhere before coming here. I wish I didn't waste a ding on my credit score to figure out something was wrong. That being said even when telling me what financing said, terry was honest and did not try to pressure me to come up with money or to accept the finance offer. I wish this company held the same moral standing he does.

We then signed a mutual Purchase Order and went to buy it... only to learn they didn't actually have the title! My bank wouldn't cut the check until they had the title (naturally, what bank would take that risk with no title?) so we waited for them to get the title so we could buy it. Yes it was sitting on their lot, but they chose to sell it without the title in hand. While waiting, with a mutually signed PO (a legal document), we learned they had sold the vehicle to another party. Not only is this potentially illegal, it is downright shady. I would avoid this dealer at all costs since they don't play by the same rules they ask you to play by. Very disappointed in the entire experience.

My family was incredibly serious about buying a car from them. They drove 45 minutes to test drive it the evening before, and her husband even missed work to make it happen. They had a formal appointment scheduled for 3 PM the following day with Teagan and were so committed that they sold their own vehicle that same night to make sure they were ready to finalize the purchase. They showed up early the next morning at 9:30 AM to finalize everything and start discussing the down payment. They stepped away for maybe 20 or 30 minutes to decide if they were going to pay in full or finance a portion of it, but when they walked back in, they were told the car had been sold right out from under them. This was hours before their actual appointment and while they were literally in the middle of the transaction. The level of dishonesty is just staggering. We found out an employee tipped off another staff member that the car was about to sell, and that guy swooped in to buy it for his girlfriend. The stories we got kept changing. First it was a walk in, then it was another appointment, then it was a relative. The buyer wasn't even at the dealership when my kids got back, yet they were told they were out of luck. I personally spoke on the phone with Chris, the manager on duty, and he actually admitted the dealership was in the wrong. He acknowledged they messed up by not giving a courtesy call and for not honoring the 3 PM appointment. Chris also claimed he was recording the entire incident and our phone call. I want copies of the video recordings from the floor and the audio from that call. If there's nothing to hide, show the footage of your staff lying to this couple while they were standing right there trying to give you their business. What makes this even more heartless is that my daughter is in the middle of nursing school, and now they have the added stress of hunting for a new car after being completely taken advantage of. They held up their end of the deal but the dealership didn't. When they tried to resolve this, Teagan was dismissive, and Chris and Giovanni were unhelpful and had the audacity to try and blame my children for the dealership's own lack of ethics. Chris told me he would talk to Tyler, the general manager, but he refused to even tell my kids who the general manager was when they were there in person, and he wouldn't give us a phone number for him either. He also explicitly told us that Steve Wackerli wouldn't even get involved or want to speak with us. At Wackerli Auto, a scheduled appointment clearly means nothing and employee side deals come before honest customers with great credit. If Steve Wackerli has any accountability at all, he should be embarrassed by how his staff treats hardworking people. Save yourself the stress and the drive. Do not trust these people. They are disorganized, unprofessional, and clearly have no conscience.
