We worked with them for a couple of weeks to get our dream vehicle negotiated, along with trade-in, and I was ready to drive from Montana to pick it up. We then signed a mutual Purchase Order and went to buy it... only to learn they didn't actually have the title! My bank wouldn't cut the check until they had the title (naturally, what bank would take that risk with no title?) so we waited for them to get the title so we could buy it. Yes it was sitting on their lot, but they chose to sell it without the title in hand. While waiting, with a mutually signed PO (a legal document), we learned they had sold the vehicle to another party. Not only is this potentially illegal, it is downright shady. I am absolutely appalled by the way my daughter and her husband were treated at Wackerli Auto. I have never seen a business operate with such a total lack of integrity. My family was incredibly serious about buying a car from them. They drove 45 minutes to test drive it the evening before, and her husband even missed work to make it happen. They had a formal appointment scheduled for 3 PM the following day with Teagan and were so committed that they sold their own vehicle that same night to make sure they were ready to finalize the purchase. They showed up early the next morning at 9:30 AM to finalize everything and start discussing the down payment. They stepped away for maybe 20 or 30 minutes to decide if they were going to pay in full or finance a portion of it, but when they walked back in, they were told the car had been sold right out from under them. This was hours before their actual appointment and while they were literally in the middle of the transaction. The level of dishonesty is just staggering. We found out an employee tipped off another staff member that the car was about to sell, and that guy swooped in to buy it for his girlfriend. The stories we got kept changing. First it was a walk in, then it was another appointment, then it was a relative. The buyer wasn't even at the dealership when my kids got back, yet they were told they were out of luck. I personally spoke on the phone with Chris, the manager on duty, and he actually admitted the dealership was in the wrong. He acknowledged they messed up by not giving a courtesy call and for not honoring the 3 PM appointment. Chris also claimed he was recording the entire incident and our phone call. I want copies of the video recordings from the floor and the audio from that call. If there's nothing to hide, show the footage of your staff lying to this couple while they were standing right there trying to give you their business. What makes this even more heartless is that my daughter is in the middle of nursing school, and now they have the added stress of hunting for a new car after being completely taken advantage of. They held up their end of the deal but the dealership didn't. When they tried to resolve this, Teagan was dismissive, and Chris and Giovanni were unhelpful and had the audacity to try and blame my children for the dealership's own lack of ethics. Chris told me he would talk to Tyler, the general manager, but he refused to even tell my kids who the general manager was when they were there in person, and he wouldn't give us a phone number for him either. He also explicitly told us that Steve Wackerli wouldn't even get involved or want to speak with us. At Wackerli Auto, a scheduled appointment clearly means nothing and employee side deals come before honest customers with great credit. If Steve Wackerli has any accountability at all, he should be embarrassed by how his staff treats hardworking people. Save yourself the stress and the drive. Do not trust these people. They are disorganized, unprofessional, and clearly have no conscience. read more

Terrible Customer Service! After spending over a week researching trucks, I narrowed my choices down to two--one at Wackerli and another at a competitor. With loan pre-approval in hand, I visited both dealerships. I'll admit, I fell in love with the truck at Wackerli--it had everything I wanted and more. But I didn't buy it. My decision had nothing to do with price, trade-in value, or financing. It was entirely based on the people. The sales reps were either overly aggressive--hovering within six feet of me and ignoring social cues--or cold, robotic, and dismissive. When I tried to address my concerns with management and work toward closing the deal, they kept redirecting me back to the same sales reps, despite an email from the sales manager stating: "As the Sales Manager here, I just wanted to contact you to make sure you have direct access to me anytime you think it would be helpful." In the middle of filling out the paperwork, I realized I didn't want to be tied to a dealership whose service department likely mirrored its poor customer service. I was getting paperwork in order to purchase a vehicle from Wackerli, was told that a legal state document wouldn't be accepted (but was accepted easily two days later at a different dealership I ended up purchasing a vehicle at). The sales person on the phone was extremely rude and even hung up on me. I will drive to the next town over to get my servicing done, I will never do business with Wackerli. read more

First off let me say this rating does no reflect the service department! On the 16th of March we decided to shop for a suv we went to this dealership, parked in the customer parking. Went out to look at the inventory. After several minutes there hadn't been any salesman to help us. This place really is THE WORST..nothing but issues from the day of purchase a year ago. NOW, TODAY, 07/05/24. The service department has had the car for TWENTY ONE DAYS!!!! Since June 15!!!!! And NO END IN SIGHT!! ...End of first week, "we fixed the problem we told u about, so your bill is:150 dollars just for letting us look at your car, and then the parts and labor, so u owe 300+ dollars..BUT, we are going to test drive it to see if the repairs we did are all good"...2 days later.."nope not good, even though there wasn't a problem with this when you first brought it in, we will be fixing the thing that attaches to the serpentine thing. I know it is a possibility that we broke it when we were taking things apart, but we will be adding several more hundred dollars to YOUR bill, ! So your bill will be 500+. Hopefully done next week. ....End of 2nd week.."Oh, remember last July when you bought the car and we told you that we had to repair/replace the turbo?? Well now it's shot, so we have to order a new one..BUT, we have to have the warranty adjuster (or whoever) come out to decide if the worthless warranty we so magnanimously sold you the day you bought the car, will cover that. 4 days later, "Great news! The adjuster said the turbo we did such a crap job on last year will be covered!! BUT... we will be adding 200 more dollars to your bill for the deductible on the POS warranty we provide on our cars. Hopefully done next week. End of 3rd week (today) "Great news! The turbo is here, but we didn't have all the parts to fix it, so more parts to order, and because of the holiday, everything will be delayed. BUT..since we charge you 150 just for the diagnosis and then charge you another couple hundred for the thingy that attaches to the serpentine thingy that we possibly broke when we were taking everything apart, and you cant prove , we can arrange a payment plan for you so you can pay this huge bill!! Hopefully done next week. Oh, don't forget to bring the car back so we can finally fix the heat problem that's been broken since right after you bought the car! I know we already charged you 150 to diagnose it this past winter, but since our POS warranty wouldn't cover it, we didn't fix it. I guess we should have come to look at the ratings before bothering to drive 90 minutes to see these people! They don't listen. I told them my husband has back pain and can't sit for very long, told them what my trade-in is worth, and told them I needed to get their best offer so that I could get home. They didn't budge on the sticker price, kept us sitting there forever, and offered a fraction of what I KNOW my car is worth. They are disrespectful and are not paying any attention. Then of course they start calling and calling the next business day trying to get our business. If they wanted it that badly all they had to do was treat us with respect. My car check engine light went on while on a long road trip. I stopped at the Chevrolet Dealership and they said the can't help me until September 3rd. I called a local diesel mechanic and he's booked until September 20th. He suggested that I call Wackerli GMC. Billie and Mike in service were fantastic. They diagnosed my problem and told me how I could drive it home gently. It's a 19 hour repair that they didn't have time to do right then and I didn't have time to wait for right then. I want to tell you that Wackerli Buick service is A+++ in my experience of over 7 years and recently with Joe, service coordinator, who is "Tops". They have changed turn-signal lights without charging for labor; they have come to my house for a service call to "haul" my Enclave to the shop and didn't charge and they have shuttled me all over the "IF Valley" w/o charge. My friends, that's what I call "Keeping the Customer Satisfied"! I've read some of the negative reviews and know that I've experienced some of the same issues with other dealerships in IF. A lot of the time it is communications, i.e., between the service coordinate and mechanic, and then between the service coordinator and the customer. I will make Wackerli my first stop for buying a new car, but compare with other dealerships for calibrating their "deal" and keep them honest. My Enclave has been the best car I've owned, and I will always trust Wackerli to keep my "Garage Queen" in top notch condition. Don't be fooled by The "family-owned since 1958" Schlick. You never want to take your car in here for service. I brought mine in and simply needed my fuel filter light reset. They told me that about $5500 worth of work needed to be done urgently on my vehicle, and that if I drove it home to Montana it might start on fire. I did about $900 worth of work with them, waiting an entire day while they ordered parts, and when I got home my mechanic found out that none of the other things they said were wrong with it actually were. As far as what they did fix- I had them save the parts and could find nothing b wrong with them. read more

I made a deal with Wackerli gmc to purchase a new truck and purchase it through my credit union. The deal was made and I had the keys but left the truck there overnight as I had driven a rental car and had to drop off at airport. The next day they tried to get me to sign a contract with GM credit (probably so they could get there incentives) and more of my money. My credit union said this was inappropriate so I had them put a stop on the check. Had to get another rental and pay another drop off fee, another night motel. Had to bring my car here for a recall and asked them to do an oil change as well since the last place messed up my drain plug. When I got there, it was $66 for the oil change with the drain plug (which was $10). I'm sorry but $55 for an oil change.... seriously. Yeah it's a dealership, yeah it's something simple I could do myself and no they didn't charge me any extra labor for removing the old plug. They also did my vehicle inspection and told me I needed all new pads and rotors (they were all done less that 6 months ago). New tires (all less than a year old) and a new head gasket (that one may be true I haven't looked). But everything else is lies, and when I brought it up to the service manager all he said was well that's what my techs always put down. I won't go here ever for service, to buy a vehicle, or even to test drive. I expect honesty and trust and this place lost mine completely in one visit. read more

I can't say enough great things about Wackerli GMC! I had an apt to get my car seat covers installed today and everyone I came in contact with was so assertive and sooo friendly. When they were taking my information, Jason asked if I had just bought my car, which I did and I told him so. He said he wasn't sure if the dealer I had bought it from told me, but that I had 2 free oil changes. Uh, they hadn't, so i thought that was cool that he would make sure I knew! It took longer than expected but Jason came and gave me updates along the way. I had to go get my kids from school and a guy with glasses (I wish I knew his name) let me use one of their dealer cars so I could go get my kids. They didn't charge as much as I expected, I'm not sure if it's because it did take longer than expected but it was such a nice surprise! The front desk lady was very nice, offered me water.
