Bear Cub Apple, Chocolate Sea Salt Apple, Chocolate Dipped Apple

Don't refrigerate caramel/dipped/candy apples if you're planning on eating. It will be fine outside for a few days. If you do refrigerate it for it to keep longer, leave it out for a few hours before cutting it. It tends to be too brittle or hard otherwise. In general, they travel well and are great if you don't have immediate refrigeration. Also, the first time I've seen an RMCF sea salt chocolate-dipped apple. I wonder if it's a recent thing because I've never seen any at our location. They do seasonal flavors/decorated apples as well and were still doing chocolate-dipped strawberries in March. This is their Pearl Street/the Pearl Street Mall location (four-block outdoor mall/fancy downtown-ish area for tourists and bar hopping), and conveniently right next to the downtown Boulder Visitor Center and the Pearl Street public restrooms (which are actually very clean). The street itself is blocked off for restaurants' outdoor seating. Parking consists of metered street parking (including a fair amount of back-in angle spaces) and a number of public garages and parking lots in the surrounding area as well. Not too familiar with the ins and outs of it, but we got free parking on Saturday and Sundays, and apparently there was free parking after 6 PM on Wednesday. At least, that's what I was told why we were charged for two hours rather than four that evening. We've also been told that you can park at the free Table Mesa parking garage and take the bus here. It's just you'd need to buy a bus pass if you're not a student. I was visiting CU and got SUPER excited to see a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory here. RMCF was founded and first opened in Colorado by a man from California, they're known for their chocolate, chocolate-dipped treats (marshmallows, strawberries, now coco bombs), and how I discovered my love of dipped apples. Also, because our closest location closed during the pandemic, this is the first time I've seen one in a while. Apples aren't quite as crisp as I'm used to, but I found them relatively fresh and I would definitely recommend picking one as a treat.

    1. Walked into the store and immediately saw one of the people sitting on a counter in the back. If you are working here that is not the place I would be sitting. Where you either make or prep food. Disgusting. 2. As we approached the counter none, there were 3, of the people behind the counter acknowledged there were customers. It felt as if we were to interrupt their conversation it would have been a nuisance. We have been here multiple time and never had such an issue. Family was In town and we wanted some after dinner sweets.

When I crave chocolate and pass by a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory I'm going in! There's not a time that I passed by one and not go in the store! I just love their chocolate. My favorite chocolate is English Toffee whether it's dark or milk chocolate! I also got the chocolate covered strawberries which is a hit every time. The girl at the front is very sweet and friendly. I really love that each chocolate factory I go into whether it's in Colorado or California the taste of their chocolate is exactly the same! Very consistent. Very delectable! This one is located on Pearl Street which I consider an outside mall. There are street parking everywhere but you have to pay a meter. There's also a public parking lot. And I have to say it's quite cheap since I come from California and almost everything is expensive. So parking is A+!

I LOVE the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory!!!! So many chocolatey treats to choose from! I came here a few months ago with some friends to pick out some Christmas treats. Their selection is so big, lots and lots of different chocolate treats and candies to choose from. I must admit when I visited this particular location I didn't actually try anything, but I must say their chocolate dipped apples looked to die for. The scent in this store made my nostrils do backflips, the wafts of freshly made chocolate and caramel in the air smelt irresistible. The friends I was with purchased many items from the store, and they were really pleased with their selection! From a service and hospitability standpoint, everyone that works here is super friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend coming down to this Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to get your sweet tooth cravings fulfilled!

We were in Boulder for a couple days and kept going back to RMCF. The Snickers caramel apple was our favorite!! It tasted like an actual Snickers and the apple was nice, fresh and crunchy. I'd recommend getting the apple sliced up. It makes it so much easier to eat and enjoy. It can get a little pricey ($20 for 2 apples) but they are so worth it!

If you walk thru Pearl St (something you must do in Boulder) then a pit stop to RMCF is a MUST TRY! Death by Chocolate ice cream and Funky Donkey ice cream were absolutely incredible. Friendly staff and clean lil shop. EXCELLENT way to end our night in Boulder.

Not as advertised: not a creamy coco loco filling, just shaved coconut
    Amanda P.

Poor quality chocolate, artificial flavors, and falsely advertised fillings. I got two jelly milk chocolate sticks, one orange and one raspberry. The chocolate was cheap chocolate, the orange was better than the raspberry, but they were so artificial in flavor (especially the raspberry) that I found them inedible. As for the Coco Loco, this was supposed to have a creamy coco loco filling as advertised, but all it had was shaved coconut... so not creamy, not coco loco flavor. It was like a small Almond Joy except you just paid $2 for it.

I destroyed the Swedish Svamptoast in seconds, as the flavors of earthiness, tangy/citrus and the creaminess from goat cheese couldn't have melted more perfectly together. Always a great experience here.

That being said, do be aware that if you come on a hot day, it does get pretty stuffy in there. At least it was on the day that I went. The teas that I tried were yummy, but my favorites were the strawberry tea and the Lady Grey tea. The afternoon tea featured a variety of little sandwiches, pastries, and scones. It came with a jam, lemon curd and clotted cream for the scones. It was a lot of food so do go hungry. I made the mistaking of having a small lunch before this. The small sandwiches were so delicious! As well as the scones with the accompaniments. The cakes did not stand out to me in any way. If you're looking for a nice little afternoon tea with a friend, this would be a great place for that.

Maybe rightly so as their specialized ingredients are harder to get. We sat inside this time though we used to go mostly mid summer and sit out. The patio was jam full last night so we ate inside where it was quite empty early evening during happy hour. My husband had the happy hour special of the evening, a very large serving of large mussels with grilled sourdough and a lucious broth. We also had some small plate tapas and I mostly grazed those. I love Bocarones and they do it so well though for me last night, the peppers were a bit too spicy. But I got the majority of the little fishies, my husband the peppers.. We also had the tortilla papas and the charred Hazel Dell mushrooms which were excellent. The little salad topping on the tortilla was full of specialty greens like fennel fronds and pea shoots. The mushrooms has a warm egg yolk on top to stir into the dressing which was tasty. We finished with their flan which was as good as my Spanish born neighbor made in my youth. I had a very nice tea with it. I was originally going to knock off a star for pricing but honestly, I don't think they have much option these days. But sadly we will go less frequently in the future.

I'd bookmarked Gemini for my visit to Boulder, in part because of its reputation, and also because it's VERY vegetarian-friendly and my husband doesn't eat meat. My faves: - ***Harvest Ratatouille - If you don't order this, you're a fool! ok, that may be harsh, but this dish was hearty perfection. A must-order. - Roasted Cauliflower - Tomato Crostini - ***Caramel flan - Don't sleep on this dessert. I've had MANY flans and this is among the best. We also ordered martinis (full bar) and they were great! Overall, an absolute favorite spot in Boulder. I'll be recommending to any friends traveling that way!

Coco Licious is a delicious vegan chocolate product that has serious chocolate flavor with healthy ingredients-its good for you and tastes good! We are talking low glycemic, raw, vegan, gluten free product that still retains wonderful chocolate flavor. I bought the Mint Heaven, sold in a plastic small box-the pieces are hand made like in a fun variety of shapes: hearts, squirrels, G Clefs, leaves, this is fun and beautiful. OK-taste? You will think its regular chocolate ! There are a number of flavors, and you can buy the product in bar size, perfect for hiking, traveling, and a healthy snack for work. Some of the ingredients are cacao, coconut and cashew butters, organic carob, and organic palm blossom crystals. A bonus-Coco Licious is made right here in your home state of Colorado, in Boulder and available at Vitamin Cottage, Whole Foods in the Boulder area (hopefully all over Colorado in the future) Each bite savored the palate, and it was a struggle not to eat the entire box! I highly recommend Coco Licious and look forward to trying many different brands soon! Kitchen Rocker
