Nice shop that we stopped by because the internet said this was a Denver specialty that would be good to bring back as gifts. I liked that they provided samples of specifically the toffee that is gift-worthy. I wish they had smaller bucket sizes for purchase-- it was either very small pieces or this gigantic bucket of chocolates that would be way too many for me to bring back. That said, this shop has a bunch of other candy and chocolate options, a bunch of beautiful truffles, and an ice cream section that my friend partook in and said was tasty. The toffee is crunchy with nuts and it doesn't stick to your teeth!! The chocolate is perfectly coating the toffee, where it's thin but not too thin. The dark is my favorite! They have other things as well but get the toffee, you won't be disappointed. This location has a huge parking lot. The service is quick and friendly, they have samples as well! One of my favorite chocolate shops! Stopped by last minute to grab a little chocolate gift. This place is a bigger location than the stands you would see at the malls. They have several cases of all sorts of chocolates you can choose from. My favorite is their chocolate toffee, milk or dark chocolate. Mmmm.....should've gifted myself some. I've driven by this place so many times and never stopped in even thou I know they make yummy candies. It's just that it's located in an industrial office park that doesn't really inspire me to stop. Late last week I remembered 2 things: 1. that Mother's Day was on Sunday and 2. that I was going to the mountains with no opportunities for shopping and was planning ti get home right before our celebration. So I headed to the Arvada Enstrom's. This turned out to be a great choice- inside the store is pretty cute Anne they had a nice selection of treats. I was able to pick out a nice selection of candy as well as cards. I also bought a single scoop of ice cream to share with my son. I was pleasantly surprised that in addition to being so delicious (that part was expected) it wasn't overly expensive and it wasn't a chintzy scoop. In today's world of globalization, it's getting more difficult to buy gifts for people as a symbol of an exotic trip or a faraway land. Sure, you can buy those Swiss chocolates while on vacation in Switzerland and bring it back to your friends in the States, or you can buy the exact same chocolates at a shop down the street from your house. I've been looking for gifts that are exclusively Colorado from companies that don't have brick-and-mortar stores in other states, and I've come up empty-handed until now. I stumbled upon this place while looking for treats for my team, and ended up leaving instead with gifts to bring home to my family and friends in California. Yes, they could still go on the official website and order a shipment, but that's the only other way to get a box of these delicious toffees other than going to an Enstrom retail outlet here in Colorado. Service at this location was a wee bit spotty on the morning I visited, but that won't deter me. I stopped buying from them 3 years ago because they just couldn't seem to get "it" together for online ordering.... Thought I would try it again. I am 45 minutes into the process, trying to order $400 worth of toffee, and I still can't place an order online. Their CEO should be fired, don't care if it's a friend or family, CEO has got to go. This is one of my favorite candy shops in Arvada, oddly located in an office/industrial park. The Enstrom family has been making candy in Colorado for generations, so I always love supporting this local business. They specialize in toffee, but have a variety of various candies (mostly chocolates), truffles and a swell expresso bar. I especially love that they ALWAYS have free samples. The staff is small as they tend to be seasonally busy, so prepare for a bit of a wait if you're stopping in here around Christmas. There aren't too many things that smell better than a freshly washed baby or puppy's feet...come on, we all find ourselves soaking up those sweet little sniffs. Well, I walked into Enstrom's Candies (how did I not know this place even existed) and immediately was hit with a whiff of the perfect combination of coffee and confections. Not over powering, like the cotton candy perfume spewed over a pole dancer, but more of the perfect balance of aroma's you'd find in a circus tent, or Grandma's house when, on those rare occasions, she'd decide to forgo Bingo to bake cookies. And not those "cut-from-the-tube" cookies, honest to goodness baked from scratch cookies, where the scent of the first burnt batch was still competing with the soft-just finished warm batch of affection, as it cooled on the stove top. Go on, walk in- enjoy this cute little boutique, serving ice cream, freshly brewed coffee (check in on Yelp, you'll get a free cup) and their signature Enstrom's toffee. What a great crew that waits on you! I go here mostly for coffee. Some people are surprised, but they make great coffee - including Americano and house coffees - and have yummy pastry treats, too. Of course, Enstrom's has all kinds of chocolate and candy to choose from. Carole (not sure of spelling) makes the BEST American, Kai is the happiest, most attentive and quick counter person, and Debbie the manager wants to make sure everything is just right. I love the toffee, but it's pricey as is everything in the store. On 12/17, I bought some ice cream - a quart for $7.50! Opened it at home to find is shrunken in, ice crystals and expired. When I emailed the store, they offered me to come get more ice cream. I live approximately 30 minutes away. That didn't make sense, so they offered me a credit or refund.
