If there was a possible NEGATIVE 5 STARS it would land here…read more I smiled and gave the only person in the office my name and said, "I have a 9:15 appointment," I said, at 9:10 am. "Actually it's 9:20. Have a seat." She continued to take her breakfast out of a plastic bag and I made a comment about the office decor. "I don't know anything about it." She didn't look up from whatever she was eating. She was not happy, that was evident. On the second of January, I was expecting a little more enthusiasm. Maybe my expectations were too high? At 9:25 she directed me to one small room where the normal eye exam machines were set up. She asked about medications almost under her breath. I spoke the names of each. "What brings you in." It was a statement, not a question. "I need new glasses?" I replied and shrugged. The doctor works remotely and was pleasant enough on the zoom-like connection. My experience in the office with the technician only got worse when I gave her my insurance cards-one of which is Medicaid. She looked at it and literally sighed. "Okay." Being someone who has a hard time standing up for myself I asked, "Did I do something wrong?" Another sigh. Nothing spoken. She seemed to barely tolerate my being there. In her space??? I was directed to wait for another staff person. They had a brief conversation. Looking at frames and attempting to ask questions I was rushed, and the first row of frames the second woman showed me, she huffed, "These are cheap." I said, "No thank you. I would like my prescription. I will go elsewhere for glasses." She quickly retrieved my paperwork and shoved it at me across a small desk. I don't appreciate being treated like a second-class citizen because of insurance coverage, at least I believe that is what the issues seemed to be.

If there was an option of providing Negative star I'd happily take that option. Firstly the service…read moreis bad, despite making an appointment I had to wait for atleast 45 minutes and secondly they are very UNETHICAL. I repeat very UNETHICAL. I had requested for a regular eye examination and paid for a regular visit, however, during my eye test the doctor (or whoever performed the test) asked me about how my vision was and during that time I happened to mention that I sometimes had blurry vision when I woke up in the morning (which wasn't anything important). Based on this information, Rocky Mountain Eye center took the privilege to recode the nature of my visit from a regular examination to a medical examination (which my insurance didn't cover) without my knowledge. They didn't provide any extra care/ service besides the freaking eye test that comes as a part of regular eye exam. However, a month later I received a hefty bill from them. Reasoning with their billing department was futile and their representatives were nothing but Rude. Now, they have asked me to pay my outstanding bill in Full to prevent proceedings from Collection agency. My kind suggestions for anyone looking forward for an eye treatment/ glasses, please stay away from this place.

Rocky Mountain Eye Center is the worst medical facility I have every been having to deal with. The…read morestaff and doctors are not patient oriented they are more money oriented. My wife had to go to this facility for Cataract surgery first thing my wife requested both eyes to be done together like I had with the VA. They told her that for safety reasons they could not do both at the same time. My question is if this procedure is so unsafe then why do they expose an unsafe operation twice raising the risk 2 fold. If both eyes are done together lowers the risk. I believe the only reason the will not do both at the same time this is all about money so they can charge for two procedures doubling the cost. This takes away another Veteran possible not being able to get need procedures because two surgery days also they also do not care that patient have to lose two days of work when one is all that is requireds.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mike for over 25 years. Unfortunately, I've been experiencing problems…read morewith my eyes lately in part due to Crohn's Disease. I saw the Dr in December after waiting several months for an appointment. He gave me a prescription eye drop sample to try. I didn't have any relief, so he had me come back in two weeks later. He then put some temporary plugs in my eyes which also didn't work. He said he would try to get me a sample of another eye drop. I waited since Jan 22 of this year to hear back from his office. Two weeks ago, I called to see what was going on, and if there was something else I could try. They told me Dr. Mike wasn't there, but his son would look into my problem. I haven't received any calls from his office, so I called again today, March 7, to again see what was going on. First, they told me that Dr Mike had retired, but his son was taking over the practice. Then they tell me they have some samples of some over-the-counter wipes with tea tree oil in them that works as well as the Miebo prescription. My question is, if these eye wipes work so well, why didn't they tell me about them in my initial office visit? I had two additional office visits that my insurance was billed for that provided no relief. Why was I ghosted by this office since Jan 22? I even called two weeks ago with a promise of a follow up that also didn't happen. Is this the kind of service that clients can expect out of this office in the future? If an over-the-counter eye wipe can work as well as a thousand dollar plus prescription, why was I instructed to come back so many times? Of course, I've never heard back from any of the doctors about my problems even after I called several times. It was bad enough that I had to wait so long for an appointment after being a client for over 25 years. I wonder if Miebo would find it interesting that this office told me the over-the-counter tea tree wipes provided as much relief as this prescription eyedrop? Shame on Southern Colorado Eye Associates.
