Great customer service. I am a mom of three littles. We were unfortunate enough to get lice the week before school let out. Ugh. My girls shared with me and there was no way for me to make sure I was treated and combed each day. It would have been impossible. I paid for the heat treatment for myself and bought the home kit for my girls. The lice went away and we are keeping the products around for this school year. I'm super thankful they are natural, non-chemical products. I do think they could offer better pricing on families. There's hardly a discount with each additional family member. My granddaughter came home form kindergarten with head lice, My daughter in law was wild. She used Rid and olive oil on her and my granddaughters' hair but wasn't sure that it had done the job. My daughter came home from camping with lice. We have four kids, and I had no intention of trying to fight this on my own. So I called Rocky Mountain Lice. On Saturday afternoon, I got an appointment for first thing Sunday morning. Jeanetta (sp?) was fantastic! I had done a home treatment but when I found a louse I was worried about the other three kids and if we all hadn't, I'd never win the battle. Lice is endemic to the grade school population here in Boulder and my poor daughter has been infested now 3 times (her mom twice). During our first bout we called the national franchise, Lice Doctors. To their credit, LC techs are competent and use natural products rather than pesticides, and but they have a single (costly) treatment protocol, which in many respects is overkill (olive oil on the head every night for 2 weeks). I am delighted that on this round I called Rocky Mountain Lice Solutions, largely based on one excellent and detailed Yelp review. Their scheduling system is much higher tech than Lice Doctors', and I was able to schedule the tech for the following morning (at 7pm the night before). As the prior review mentioned, the tech, Michelle, is a delightful, highly competent and empathic person, with classic British humor and pluck. She loves children and is a comforting presence. Given that I'd already treated both my daughter and myself, Michelle performed a screening rather than going right for the olive oil comb through, and determined that careful nit removal was the only strategy needed. She spent a couple of hours on this (using a cool magnifying visor). She ensured that my daughter was nit-free and instructed us on how to avoid reinfestation. A couple of excellent products are included. The final price was less than half what Lice Doctors charged, and I think the RMLS treatment protocol is more rational. Make a call to them rather than taking treatment into your own hands. It's the best way to beat the problem and it is an affordable, discrete and convenient solution. Tell other parents too! read more
