This RV park is not family-friendly -- children and pets are treated more like hidden fees than welcomed guests. My mother made a reservation for our family, and during check-in, we were never asked about pets or the number of children. One staff member even saw our dog and said nothing. The next day, the owner, Rick Lamb, watched our campsite for a while before approaching us to ask how many people we had. After answering honestly, he informed us we owed an extra $45 for our four children and one dog. When I mentioned that no one asked these questions during check-in, Rick refused to take any responsibility and snapped, "You are wrong!" He was dismissive and condescending, saying things like "Is your calculator not computing?" and "I'm the owner and I make the rules." Later, Rick and his wife, Valerie, came to our site to "clear things up," but were just as rude. Valerie even told me, "You don't need to cause problems." We paid the $45 just to be done with the conflict -- Rick casually put it in his wallet. On checkout day, Rick sat in his truck watching our family pack. After we left, he immediately walked our site, presumably to check for rule violations. We accidentally left our water filter connected to the spigot. When I returned to retrieve it, Rick saw me and deliberately avoided me, walking back into the building. I had to call the store and speak to Megan, who later said he left the filter on a table -- refusing to speak to me directly. The entire experience was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and frankly, unwelcoming. We will never stay here again, and we won't support the Three Forks Market. Others we've spoken to have had similar issues. Rick and Valerie Lamb seem more interested in enforcing arbitrary rules than treating their guests with respect.

It is clear that Victoria truly loves helping people find footwear that matches their goals. I discussed what I was looking for, and Victoria took that information and turned it into a shoe-finding spree! She brought out at least four pairs for me to try. She even brought out some shoes that she thought I might like based on what we talked about. My husband started talking to her, and wouldn't you know it, Victoria brought out some shoes for him, too. She never made us feel rushed or like she was trying to get us out the door. She even helped several other people while we were trying on our shoes, and all of them left with smiles on their faces. The Basecamp is so lucky to have Victoria as a stellar employee. We, as consumers, are even luckier to benefit from her extensive knowledge about footwear. We will definitely return to the Helena Basecamp for any future footwear needs. The world needs more Victorias! Believe me, it's a whole new regime…read more I moved to Helena in Feb of 2000 and was a loyal customer of Woody's early on after I got here because I try very hard to never got through one of those carwashes with the "drapes" for the hood and roof and truck (if you've got one - I drive a 1994 Toyota 4WD Pickup) and BIG scrubbers for the sides. Well... today I went in again and it's completely different from Woody's. * Tip Box - evidently don't pay the workers enough up front. * Labor cuts - no more 2 guys at the end doing a basic wipedown including door seals. You get to do the whole routine yourself. Yeah... I can hardly wait for JANUARY and FEBRUARY! TOUCHLESS NO MORE - heavy drapes dragging the dirt ON the flat surfaces before it's eventually dragged OFF, and a very aggressive-action set of brushes along the sides. People can't believe that my rig is a 1994 with 330,000 miles on it as the paint looks new when she's washed - it's because it's hardly ever been through this kind of wash process - less than 10 times total in the 30 years I've owned her. I have either done a personal handwash or went to a good touchless car wash. So... ain't goin' here no mo'. Towels: Smaller and cheaper = not as absorbent. That's more wiping for you! Wanna Pay Cash? No longer accepted. Prices: BIG increases! $15 for a Basic Wash with no details as to what that includes. $20 for The Works - nothing in between. The new owners did all these things. But they did spiff out the outside of the building if that makes you feel any better. Getting my rig washed here today was like having a big, handsome guy beat me up in a clean alley... and it felt great when he quit.
